The Football War, also referred to as the '100 Hour War,' was a conflict which broke out on the 14th of July 1969, triggered by the FIFA world cup soccer match between after El Salvador and Honduras. From the perspective of Jose Cardona, a Honduran football player, his story will unfold the reality of being a national hero plunged in the middle of a terrible conflict.
