Loki and Ida arrive on Midgard to finally meet her birth father, Tony Stark, with the expectation things will go one of two ways:
1. Tony will accept her and things will be fine
2. Tony will hate her and they can just go back to Asgard with the satisfaction of closure
However it soon becomes apparent just how many more outcomes there could be. And it is amazing how not telling someone something, like what happened in New York, could affect a fool proof relationship between each other.

Tony fears that Pepper might leave him and take Emma with her because she's had enough, especially when she gets visited by an old interest, Killian. After Happy Hogan was severely injured by one of the bombings, an angry Tony gave a threatening promise to Mandarin on the news, which later caused a terrorist attack on Tony's own house, with Pepper and Emma inside. Everyone was left thinking Tony was dead, but he left Pepper and Emma a message, telling them he was alive. But SHE is there now and Loki has to deal with the emotional rollercoaster within himself. He only blamed himself for her ability to shadow the truth with lies that everyone falls for. He was quite impressed as well. Is he even ready for the love that comes with a Midgardian? But how could he get through this without her? After all, she was the only reason he became King in the first place. But isn't life much simpler when your blaming failures on a Midgardian? What about her? She possessed powers. Powers that no typical Earth human had. How could she come across such powers? Well, a small event with the Avengers led Loki to run right to her small home town. What was so significant about that?
