❇️ 2018 WATTYS WINNER! The Originals category ❇️ - "The Breakfast Club" meets "Veronica Mars" in this most unusual YA Mystery.

Using ACTUAL, archival material (some dating as far back as 1776), The Descendants weaves a tale of intrigue, constructed from real photographs, documents, and snippets of history from a small, rural town in New Hampshire.

What Dan Brown did with conspiracy theories in "The DaVinci Code" and Ransom Riggs did with historical photographs in "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," I will attempt to do in "The Descendants," but with teen protagonists giving it a fun, modern twist.

Why? Because I'm crazy like that! So, check it out!

Yeah, I know...History?! Blah! But it actually turned out to really fun! :-)

For reference, here's the entire cache of photographs I drew from belonging to the Keene Public Library and the Historical Society of Cheshire County - https://www.flickr.com/photos/keenepubliclibrary/

I will add links to individual photographs as I have time.
This sounds really interesting! Don't you love it when you're driving along and see and old barn or something--and a story suddenly pops in your head? Or like you--you happen to come across some pictures one that inspire a new set of characters?

Images are my muse too! Scrolling through stock photo websites give me so many ideas :-D
