Riley Condon, Flower Boy extraordinaire, leads a secret double life that only he can know about. At school, he is the new kid, freshly out of years of homeschool and clueless about life as a senior in a public high school. His goal this year is to find how to be a real man and succeed in the real world with acceptance by society, and his course of action seems abundantly clear when it slams into him on the first day. "The Guys", while being the most uncreative name Riley has ever heard, is a group of friends with the same goals as him, and it seems like the perfect opportunity for him to make friends and find what it means to be a man along side them... if only he can get in to this highly selective group of people. The longer he observes them, however, the more he doubts that he has what it takes, but does he really want to be what they think a "real man" is if he has to sacrifice finding himself? No, he has to prove to himself that he can be a man like them, so the answer must lie within that group because they have had more experience, right? It doesn't help his confidence, however, that the secret he is keeping from them is how his mother doesn't know he's not the daughter she thinks he is.
