It's 1944, a nineteen year-old with a nursing degree decides to join the U.S. Army and fight in the war against Nazi Germany. To her surprise, she is there as a medic for 1st Platoon, 1st Infantry Division 16th Infantry Regiment, under the command of Joseph Turner and William Pierson. There, she meets the men fighting on the frontlines of the war. As time goes on, so does the war, she befriends two men, frequent visitors to the medical bay, Robert Zussman and Ronald "Red" Daniels. When times become tough, she is asked to come to the frontlines and help the others and wounded. There, she becomes the talk of the Platoon, and with a woman being on the frontlines, she sure does get the attention. ~ cod:wwii x reader female pronouns
