As many of know real wine takes years to get ripe in a barrel for it to be any good but in my fictional story it won't . Dr.Isles loves her job as a doctor in Italy but also loves her Vinyard that was left to her by her Nani Isles. Jane Rizzoli is an ex homicide detective but loves the Vinyard land. She is in charge of developing new wines to keep up with the market. Maura knows wine has to be stored in a dark room in oak barrels between 55 -65 degrees with no natural light but that is about it..Maura does have an excellent palette and can tell you what is in each wine but not the percentage. The Isles love for PINOT de NOIR and Chardonnay wines is what historically the vineyard is known for the last 55 years. Maura wants a new wine to be available this year. She hired Rizzoli because of her vast knowledge and love for the wine to develop a new one before the fair occurs which houses the best of the of special reserve wine. Maura's PINOT de Noir grapes are bitter which makes her wine known internationally. Jane forty years later funds out something.
