So, just for simplicity sake, other than an occasional reference to Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy, I try to treat all other work of fiction by Cassandra Clare as if it doesn't exist (ie. The Dark Artifices). The entire series I am writing focuses mainly on the character Jonathan Morgenstern. This is my version of what would happen if he hadn't have died at the end of CoHF. It is a redemption saga. My story borrows from the last few chapters of CoHF in The Mortal Instruments book series and carries on from there. Although I love and appreciate how she handled the ending, I just loved this character so much that I had to give him a second chance at life!
