Threat.
"You didn't need to come with me you know, I could've done this on my own." Ben chastised as Kyra and Alarion were walking with him from the school library and were headed to the incubus dorm. "No we had to be here, the incubus faction isn't exactly happy and in the best spirit, they almost killed one of the fae when they overfed." Alarion argued as he walked beside Ben.
"I guess you're right, come on let's get down to business, I can oversee their new schedule for now, I wish Connor had a second hand, this would've been so much easier." Ben groaned as they made their way into the lobby of the building. "I expected it to smell like sex in here." Kyra mumbled with a tease making Ben chuckle, and somehow he had expected it to. "It's not as if the angel dorm doesn't smell of arrogance." Ben added making Alarion groan instead. "Stop jabbing at my dorm please and let's go." The angel argued as he opened the door for Ben and Kyra.
"My what a gentleman." Kyra teased and Alarion winked at him. "What would I be if I didn't respect you." Alarion retorted as they found the next possible candidate to become the Incubus supreme. "You must be —." Ben exclaimed and the incubus raised his hand to stop him. "Not interested witches, and angel." The boy spoke before Ben or any of the others could say a word. "That doesn't matter, you were actually a second hand option, and a probationary if need arised." Alarion stated with a grin and Kyra muffled a laugh.
"So you came to what, insult me." The boy raised an eyebrow. "Not really I just needed someone to link me to this whole building, and I'm done." Ben announced as the residents of the building began filing out of their rooms to come to the lobby, and the open lower room where the incubus had been. "You used me!" The boy screeched. "Oh calm down, it was just a link, moving on." Kyra exclaimed amused by the incubus.
"Sorry to disturb you all, but its come to our attention that you all don't have any control over your feeding schedule, a fae first year was almost killed last night from four who had overfed, with no proper leadership there is chaos, so today we will be announcing the trial date for the incubus faction leadership, it will happen a day after the ball of monarchs!" Alarion announced as power roared in his voice, an authority the incubus could feel wash over them.
"All those who wish to participate are welcome, the council advisor Benjamin will oversee your feeding schedule for now until there is a leader, have a good day!" Kyra announced firmly and everyone moved away some grumbling to themselves and others already preparing for the battle royale. As the three moved away from where they stood heading outside pillars of light immediately engulfed them, they created a perfect barrier around them as they rotated clockwise.
"What the— what's wrong?" Ben questioned as his own magic poured out and his eyes glowed with power, Kyra now stood defensively near Ben power crackling all around him. "Kaiser." The witch supreme hissed as he looked at the current witch patriarch and king. "What do you want?" Alarion questioned as his aura made the ground beneath all of them break. "You ran away before we could see you my dear, so I thought today we wouldn't give you that option." Ameli replied her son sweetly but Alarion was brimming with hatred and anger.
"We want nothing to do with you, haven't you learned that already, or should I repeat what happened last time brother in law." Kyra stated with a wicked grin making Kaiser angry. "I'm not doing this." Ben mumbled as he held out his hand to open a portal. "Not so fast little brother." Kaiser smirked as he had trapped Ben and Alarion, this time they wouldn't be slippery and escape. "Kyra this is between me and my brother, keep a safe distance." The witch stated calmly knowing Kyra would argue but Ben had to keep him safe, engaging with him in a battle against Kaiser would've been dangerous though he hoped Kyra would understand the underlying message.
"Alarion pull down the pillars, let's face our monsters." As Ben ordered the pillars vanished, lightning struck the spot where the two friends had been, it was Kaiser who had attacked, Ben flew up to meet his brother leaving Alarion to deal with the angel queen. "I have had enough of you Kaiser, go back to fucking your mate and leave me alone, leave the mystic world alone with your stupid ideas!" Ben yelled as solar flares burst from above him.
Kaiser raised a shield but it cracked under the pressure of the heat and the multiple blows. "Just do as you're told Benjamin, the union of houses will happen, after that, you will marry Mael, you shall bear an heir for him." The witch king roared back but anger is what he received back. "Never!" Ben yelled, as the pain he felt finding Mael cheating on him so many times made itself present, the betrayal, the hurt, his skin started to glow as four of the neo beasts appeared behind him they merged with him and his body was covered in golden flames, they too vanished as four tetragrams appeared around Ben, they rotated around him like a sun perfectly spherical.
How dare Kaiser make him someone's concubine, how dare he make him someone else's puppet so he could rule, how could his own brother be selfish, Ben had taken enough pain and hatred, all he wanted was peace in his life but they wouldn't let him be peaceful. "I am Benjamin Roman Syre, Master of the neo beasts, the witch Verve and Fury." The voice which had spoken startled everyone, they had never seen Benjamin like this, he had never taken this form before and it terrified them.
Gravity rained down on Kaiser, it crushed his insides, he had never felt power so strong, golden lightning was hurled from the sky where Ben was, he released his own and the two burst into an explosion that should've destroyed the school but the barriers were intact, "Darkened Raze." Kaiser cast as a similar tetragram appeared in front of him but he knew he could never raise four like Ben had. His spell broke the gravity which had him pinned to the ground.
He flew up to face his brother again whose eyes were golden catslits. "I won't lose!" Kaiser yelled as he attacked Ben with blades made of air, Ben didn't move from his sphere only hailed golden ice from one of the tetragrams, they hit Kaiser head on, his barrier finally broke and he was thrown away in a huge explosion. Ben had not moved but was sufficiently beating him, it enraged him so much so that he pushed himself, he had a claim to the throne too, he was a Syre too, his eyes changed to catslits as two tetragrams appeared around him, making his own three, that was his limit.
He flew up and hurled red lightning at Ben, the witch held out his hand and absorbed all his attacks, he waved his hand and his flames engulfed the sphere Ben was in, it didn't do any damage as golden flames roared and snuffed them out, Ben raised his hand and a massive ball of energy gathered, he aimed it Kaiser, the witch king reciprocated the same thing. "Release." He cast and his attack hurtled toward Ben, the attacks met in the middle, they didn't explode, they moved into each other, and began shrinking in size, changing into different colors.
Ben waved his hand again and so did Kaiser, they were now forcing the chaotic energy toward one another, Ben pushed further and Kaiser knew he was going to lose, he was already using more mana than his body could take in, so he created a void and pushed the inevitable blast in there, as he was relieved he found Ben launching a series of attacks. "Natures fury." Ben said angrily and a cataclysmic attack was sent to Kaiser, the witch king screamed as explosions of gold was all everyone could only see.
His tetragrams shattered leaving only one, he was bleeding in multiple places and was trying to conserve energy, he had never expected Ben to be this strong or to use the Syre's battle magic formation, but he wouldn't admit defeat. "Griffin rage." Ben knew what was coming before it happened so when Kaiser attacked he merely raised a barrier which absorbed the attack. "Go ahead with the union but don't come here and try to manipulate me or I will not be merciful next time!" Ben exclaimed harshly as his brother vanished.
Everyone was frozen except the royals of the school and their parents, they knew that what Ben hand Kaiser ad done was merely a step into the real power all of them had, and seeing it being performed so perfectly by an outcast who was supposed to have no control, they began to question a lot.

"Light pillars: Kings right!" Alarion defended against his mother's attack, she was still as strong as before but unlike their father her strength had a limit, the pillars rotated around him and protected him if need be, an explosion in the sky draws both their attention, the queen gasps as she sees her ally being beat down. "Your so called witch king messed with the wrong sibling this time." Alarion taunted his mother. "I wonder why you're even supporting him." He sneered sending white flames toward her which she evaded.
"Because I believe in the world he wants, free of flesh eaters and mongrels." She hissed as their blades clashed, Alarion crouched down and used his momentum to sweep his mother off her feet before she could fall he spun around and kicked her abdomen hard, the woman coughed out blood as she moved to her feet. "Ruthless and always going for the kill I see." She mumbled as Alarion made blades of light appear in his palms.
"You aren't exactly holding back." He snapped looking at his mother as she got to her feet, Alarion flapped his wings and released shards of pure light from them, they burnt the queen until she raised a barrier around herself. Their battle was fierce as everyone watched Alarion fight the woman who was his mother. Ameli released dark energy toward Alarion, the angel didn't move or even shift to the side, he simply became transparent and the attack went right through him.
"How—?" She choked, before an answer could come, multiple punches rained on her body, Alarion was venting his anger in each precise hit, in each swift kick that registered later after it had been delivered, above the two a ball of energy had gathered similar to Devin's attack, Alarion moved in a flash and released his attack. "Burst." He commanded and the explosion rocked the entire school, debris was raised and as it settled the angel queen looked ragged, her wing was broken and bleeding.
"So you have a mate, that's why I felt the difference in power." She mumbled to herself and her body healed instantly. "So who is the unlucky man who got mated with a worthless angel?" She spat and Alarion rose from ground, his wings spread further as if hiding several sets behind them and it was true, five sets of large white wings had grown on his back. "Never think of my mate, don't ever try to come near him, or I will kill you." The angel with the pillars of light commanded, heavenly energy swimming around him like a chasm, his mother was in awe as everyone else.
"How, you're not the king?" She argued but only Alarion and those who resided at Halwright knew the reason behind his power. "I don't need to explain myself to you ever, leave me alone." As Alarion stated a beam of heavenly light was shot at his mother, she vanished with her screams. Ben appeared beside Alarion with a smile. "Let's go." He mumbled taking the angel's hand and vanished with him.
The other monarchs knew what it was that made their outcast children special now, and they wanted to use it but how could they when they themselves couldn't fight to convince them, there was no other way. Though they had been shocked to see the extent of the power Ben and Alarion held, the students of Halwright knew it wasn't their birthright that gave them that power, not a single one of them, but it was surviving death, escaping slavery, and learning to survive in one of the most dangerous schools, that's why they were powerful.
