Warning- Hospitals, fainting, drunk driver and car crash mentions
A/n- This is kinda confusing, basically it is an au where you are in the world of the characters but your real life is a dream inside of a coma if that makes sense.
Your pov-modern au/coma au?
I just got home and decided to chill some before dinner by reading some quick fanfics. I grabbed my phone and went over to the couch, but before I got there everything went black.

I got to a state of semi-consciousness, and I heard the beeping of a machine nearby. I was only half aware of what happened and what was happening. I managed to open my eyes, wincing, suddenly blinded by the harsh lights.
"They're awake!"
"John, Herc wake up they're awake!"
I heard people stirring from the other side of the room. I tried to place their voices but failed, although they sounded familiar.
"(Y/n)? (Y/n), dear, how are you?" Said a person who now stood by my right. I managed to sit up and look at him. Seeing who he was I almost passed out again.
"L-l-lin?" I managed. How did Lin Manuel-Miranda, The Lin Manuel-Miranda know my name and why was he visiting me in the hospital?
"(Y/n) it's me Alex. Do you remember what happened?" The man repeated again.
I shook my head. Why did Lin call himself Alex? I mean I know did star as the famous Hamilton but why did he not use his real name?
He looked upset at my answer. He lowered his head and stepped back.
"(Y/n), mon amour, how are you feeling?" A man with a thick French accent spoke to my left. Luckily my years of French class paid off since I understood he called me, "my love".
I looked at him, he looked like another member of the Hamilton cast, Daveed Diggs. Why did he have a French accent though, he wasn't on stage so why was he sounding like Lafayette? "D-d-Daveed? W-why are you here?" I said.
"Non, mon amour, it's me Lafayette, do you not remember?"
I shook my head, "Wait, Alex, Lafayette, let me guess John and Hercules are here too?" I said sarcastically starting to get the act.
"They remember!" A voice called from the foot of the bed. I saw who the voice belonged to, he looked similar to Anthony Ramos, I guessed he was going to be "John".
"Thank God!" A booming voice called. Again I could guess by their similar appearance to Okieriete Onaodowan that he'd claim to be Hercules.
"Ok guys, you aren't on stage, what's with the act?"
"What act?" "John", spoke up.
"You guys are all saying that you are actually the characters you play." I said pointing out the obvious.
"I don't understand," The French voice spoke up.
"Fine if you won't admit it, then at least tell me where I am and what you're doing here."
"Mon amour, what do you remember?"
"Well I got home and was about to read some fan fiction when everything went black. Although, I do remember that you guys definitely never met me before since you've all been on Broadway and I am broke. Even though meeting you is a dream come true!" As I finished the disappointed looks on their faces intensified.
"(Y/n) I've never acted once in my life," Hercules spoke.
"I did a school play but never anything more, especially not Broadway." John added.
"Oui," Laff, agreed.
"I was a little bit of a theater kid in high school and college, but never that much." Alex pointed out.
I was confused to say the least. "What happened then? Why do I not remember this? All I remember is my life before I passed out, but apparently that wasn't my real life."
They exchanged worried looks. Alex was the first to speak, "(y/n), you were in a car crash a couple days ago, and you've been in a coma ever since."
I tried to process this. "You're pranking me right." Alex shook his head. "So my reality, I thought I knew was a lie?"
They all looked shocked.
"Sorry." I apologized for getting mad at them.
"Non, it's our fault. The doctors said when you woke up you might have, what was it called again?" The Frenchman spoke.
"Partial amnesia," John filled in for him.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"It wasn't your fault. Stupid drunk driver was why it happened." Hercules added bitterly.
"Still I feel so bad for forgetting all of this," I looked at them. "All of you," I added under my breath.
"Hey, the doctors did say that your brain could heal and you could retrieve some of your memories." The freckled man sitting at the foot of my bed added.
Hercules perked up, "Until then we can make new memories!"
"Yeah!" Alex agreed, and Laff nodded in response.
I laughed, "I love you guys!"
Which got a chorus of "I love you too"s in response (one being in French). Then John came over and gave me a hug which resulted in the other three men hugging me too. I hope I will remember them.
