I have a news... Do you guys know that it's already been a year since I worked on this book (which is slow according to my initial calculation)!!! Thank you for the first 40 followers I got because of this book and all of you who always leave a vote or comment to make my day better.
So here I present to you chapter 33...

◇◇◇

"Your end is near. Engulf the souls with fear."

Shadow like creatures emerged from Lilith's own shadow. The shadow creatures launched themselves at the remaining three werewolves that still followed Lilith. Even though she put in more power into the spell, it wasn't enough to kill them. At the very least it was enough for her to extent her distance.

The vampire managed to take out two out of five werewolves who after her. It was a hassle to even kill one. She couldn't afford to stop or they might gang up on her and cut her escape. It had been almost a whole day and she hadn't stop running since. They had persistence, she gave them that.

As the werewolves busy with the shadow creatures, Lilith stopped to catch her breath in a hidden place. She took out her blood stash to replenish her energy. Unfortunately it was empty as she hadn't refill it in a long time.

"Damn it!" cursed the tired vampire.

She was trying to calm down as the adrenaline was rushing in. But it seemed like the world didn't allow her to take a rest. Her hiding place was shattered to crumbles as the werewolves forced their way in.

One was breaking down the wall as the others reached out for her vulnerable parts. In that split seconds, Lilith noticed the crazed eyes the wolves had. They were nothing she ever seen before.

"Just a bit more. I refuse to let it end here," Lilith mumbled as she used whatever power she had left to teleport.

◇◇◇

In another place, our courageous witch was enjoying her afternoon walk not too far from the village. She kept worrying about Freya and Astra. She wanted to help more but this was her limit. To add on that matter, Lilith hadn't came in contact either.

Out of the blue a portal suddenly opened before her. Out from it came Lilith, completely exhausted and full of cuts. The vampire crashed into shocked Eli. The young woman held her steady and let herself be used as a support.

"What happened?" wondered Eli.

Lilith tried to catch her breath. "Hurry... Teleport... Out," she replied stumbling with her words.

"What?" Eli asked confusedly.

Lilith didn't answer anymore, so Eli helped her sit down. Lilith knew the werewolves were near and could come out at any second. It wasn't even near 1 kilometer from her original spot. She had to somehow tell Eli to teleport far away.

"Is Freya and Astra okay? Hey answer me!" Eli shook Lilith's body.

"Teleport... Now."

"Tell me what happened dammit!"

Right before their argument get more heated, howls and growls were heard approaching with every second. The two women looked at the source and there they found three hungry werewolves.

"Now!" Lilith screamed.

Surprised by Lilith's voice and the fast approaching danger, Eli hastily summoned her staff and casted the spell.

"Voyager's path, straight and true. Guide the lost and forgotten to you. Let the northern light take us to a place we choose."

A magic circle was drawn around them. When the circle completed, a light blinding their surrounding. They were gone the moment the werewolves reached their original position. The hunters couldn't follow their scent anymore since it was beyond their capability.

◇◇◇

The landing was nowhere near smooth as they both fell on the floor hard. Out of panic, Eli accidently teleported them to the inside of the castle. The said witch got up first and about to blind the supposedly unwanted guest. Which actually didn't matter since Lilith passed out from exhaustion.

Eli was contemplating whether to kick her out or take care of her. They knew each other for a month and half. It was way too soon to trust her. Not to mention her relationship with Nyx. On the other hand, she still need to know what happened with the plan.

"Screw it," sighed Eli as she used her magic to take Lilith to a vacant room.

◇◇◇

The vampire's ocean blue eyes slowly opened up, although they were darker than usual. She tried to adjust her focus of the unknown place. Her throat was dry. There was a missing feeling in her mouth. Sleeping was not enough to replenish her energy. She needed blood more than ever.

Just as she about to jump out off bed, someone opened the door and foolishly approached the thirsty vampire. Lilith decided to wait and see. The person sat comfortably on the bed to check up on her.

"Hey, how're you feeling?" Was what Eli said but to Lilith it was just a bunch of disoriented words.

The moment Eli reach out her hand at the vampire, she pulled it in and skillfully positioned herself above the witch's neck. Eli was caught in surprise as Lilith pinned her head down. What next came soon as the vampire buried her fangs in Eli's neck.

The whole process was too fast, Eli couldn't even comprehend what happened until she felt energy was being taken away from her. When she finally came to her senses, she tried to retaliate but the grip was too strong too desperate.

"Let me go, crazy vampire!" Eli screamed and pushed her away with every strength she had left.

Lilith snapped back to reality as Eli pulled herself away. Her attempt turned out not to be the best decision ever. Lilith's fangs tore out Eli's neck and more blood split up. The witch used both her hands to cover up the wound which not doing much.

The now calmed vampire looked at the human who cowered in fear. Lilith wiped the blood on her mouth and made her way to Eli carefully.

"Stay aw--" Eli stopped talking as blood spilled out from her mouth.

"Let me help you before you die stupidly," convinced Lilith as she reached out for the wound.

Eli let her be as she struggled to even keep one eye open. Lilith covered the wound with magic to stop the bleeding. It was not healed but at least the bleeding was stopped. After making sure the human was out of death door, Lilith helped her lay on bed.

"Sleep. I'll make sure you're breathing," ordered Lilith.

But Eli stubbornly swatted Lilith's hand. "Hell no. I must be crazy if I still trust you after that," she said in a somewhat tired voice.

The vampire sighed. She could barely remember what happened. It had been a long time since the last time her blood thirsty instinct took over. She despised herself for not being able to have self control, yet she couldn't deny the sweet and iron like taste of Eli's blood. She knew she likes it and she might want more.

"Fine. At least tell me where you keep your medicines. We still need to treat that wound."

Eli pointed out the place for Lilith. The vampire came back not long after. She softly tended on the wound on Eli's neck. She wiped the blood and put on bandages while observing any sign of discomfort from Eli. With Eli was being obedient, it didn't take long for Lilith to finish.

"All done," said Lilith cleaning up everything.

Eli stayed quiet and unresponsive. She was still struggling to keep her consciousness. The amount of blood that Lilith took wasn't a small portion, so did the wound on her neck. Normal people would have already died in a minute if experienced the same.

"So where are we?" asked Lilith to break down the tension, but Eli still kept her mouth shut. "Don't tell me this is your hideout. Is it?" Lilith looked back at Eli.

Eli put a barrier around the room, making herself clear. "I would kill you before you even think of telling Nyx," threatened the witch in a low voice.

The raven colored vampire smirked. "You talk big for someone who's dying just a minute ago."

Eli tried to maintain her demeanor, but her strength failed her. She fell backwards onto bed and the barrier disappeared along with her conscious.

"You shouldn't have been able to cast any spell, yet you still threaten me," Lilith chuckled. "Let's have fun with the time that we have, Eleanor Reynolds," she said as she tucked Eli in bed.
