jaemin followed the head angel, flying down under the clouds.
it was midnight, meaning time for jaemin to start his very first mission.
even if he wasn't happy about it, he couldn't do anything now.
"here we are." the head smiled, landing in front of a small house, his wings folding neatly behind his back.
jaemin landed next to him and watched him opening the door.
the insides of the house made jaemin widen his eyes.
if from the outside, the house looked like any other small house in the neighbourhood, the insides were nowhere near small.
everything was in cloud material, fluffy, light and white, flying around the gigantic house which's ceiling was more than ten meters high.
"this is our best house, jaemin. we gave it to you because we knew you hated the fact you had to go there. hopefully it will make you feel more at home." the head said, looking around.
jaemin silently nodded, mesmerized by the insides.
"well." the head coughed to wake jaemin up from his daydream. "it's my cue to leave. i put all the documents you need over here." he said pointing at a big file that was lying on the table.
"okay, thank you."
"you know the rules, so please respect them. otherwise, you know what's waiting for you." he said doing a scissors motion with his fingers. that was enough to send chills down jaemin's spine.
"c-could you... repeat them one last time please?"
"humans shouldn't know the existence of angels. your mission has to be done secretly; the boys involved shouldn't know about your existence. and as you didn't get your invisibility power yet, you'll have to do them in a humanoid form, meaning no wings. so please, control them. i don't want any human to see them."
jaemin gulped. he wasn't ready to abandon his beautiful white wings.
he knew that he could make them disappear by using the 'recedo' spell, the only spell he knew for the moment.
angels were all born with the ability of making their wings disappear, and as they succeeded their missions, they were given more abilities.
then, jaemin was obviously the less skilled angel of his age as he had never gone on a mission.
"is that all?" jaemin asked.
"yes. you're starting tomorrow morning. read the file i prepared to know everything. if you have any questions or problems, push the red button and one of us will come down and help you." the head told, showing the red button encaged in glass next to the front door. "goodbye jaemin. good luck on your first mission. please serve the angels right."
and with those words, the head flew out of the house, leaving jaemin alone, with a weird feeling in his stomach and the urge to cry.
swallowing his pride and flew to the table where the huge file had been put.
his mission couldn't be that difficult. making two people fall in love... that should be quickly done, shouldn't it?
he just had to make sure both people would meet at some beautiful place, make their encounter magical and then looking at them fall in love from afar. seemed pretty simple.
he pulled a chair and sat on it before taking a deep breath and opening the file.
his eyes fell on two pictures that he carefully picked up to analyse.
the first one had a small tag saying 'lee jeno'. the boy was handsome. he looked tall and manly, and something told jaemin that this boy was perfect boyfriend material.
the other was 'huang renjun'. this one looked badass and less friendly than jeno. perhaps because of the stern look he had. anyway, this didn't mean he wasn't attractive as well.
jaemin put the pictures aside and grabbed the profiles papers.

jaemin placed the profiles next to the pictures and looked through the file to see if he found something important.
he found more information about the boys, way more precise ones, such as where they lived, where they studied, their habits, the sports they have practiced... it was almost scary to know this much about two boys he would never talk to.
he continued his researches, reading quickly every paper before finding one he paid more attention to.
"problem?" he read out loud, furrowing his brows before reading the beautifully written text.
PROBLEM
the help of an angel is absolutely necessary in their case because otherwise, both boys will never be able to get together.
renjun has moved from china to korea, and got to the same school as jeno, meaning they could meet. but things didn't really go as planned.
both boys started hating each other more than anything, to the point it became scary.
they never became friends. from the first day, they starting hating each other with no valid reason.
none of the boys know anything about the other's life when they are pretty similar and really compatible. they both have to deal with family troubles that will be arranged when they'll get together.
the angel in charge of this case has to make them forget about their disputes to become friends at first, and then boyfriends.
jaemin put the paper down.
he was about to force two people into falling in love? that was horrible.
and two people who hated each other?!
that would be way harder than he thought.
jaemin didn't have any knowledge in human comportments. it was his first time here. the only things he barely remembered about were sanha's experiences.
"how the hell am i supposed to make them fall for each other?" he muttered.
jaemin lifted his head, looking at the red button that the head had said to be for calling the angels. he could ask them, they should know...
but then, he remembered about the head telling him that his mission should be a success otherwise, his wings would be cut. and he didn't want that to happen at all.
he had to try. if it was too hard, then he would call the head for help. but not before trying his best.
