Bakugou was walking in the halls with his little squad when he realized he left his bag in the classroom.
Baku - Oi, Idiots! I left my bag i'm gonna go get it Be right back.
Kiri - Alright Bakubro!
Kami - well meet you back at the dorms bro!
Baku - Whatever...
When he reaches the classroom he hears some familiar voices of two of his classmates.
Izu - So what did you need Uraraka-san?
Ura - U-um... Deku-kun I um...
Bakugou slowly opens he door to see Uraraka and Deku kissing. He quickly walks in and grabs his bag
Baku - Disgusting get a fucking room losers.
The two break apart and they both look at Bakugou with angered faces
Ura - Shut Up Bakugou! Why can't you just be nice for once!!
Baku - Tch- Shut Up Pink Cheeks!! I Couldn't Give Two Fucks About Your Feelings!!! *Flips her off*
Izu - FUCK OFF BAKUGOU! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST GO SOMEWHERE! I SWEAR I REALLY FUCKING HATE YOUR GUTS AT TIMES!! JUST LEAVE ME! MY GIRLFRIEND! AND EVERYONE ELSE ALONE! STOP BEING SUCH A DICK!
Bakugou's eyes went wide and he felt the burning in his throat again but he pushed it down and smirked at Izuku
Baku - Finally grew a pair huh nerd!!! Where was all this back in middle school!? It's great your finally not being a crybaby bitch! But learn your fucking place! YOU HAVE AND WILL ALWAYS BE LOWER THAN ME! GOT THAT YOU FUCKING LOSER!!?! *Sets off mini explosion*
Izu - Whatever... Just go away.
Baku - Yea, yea..
Katsuki quickly walks out the door and after making sure it was fully closed and making sure the hall was clear he ran out the school to a place where only he knows. As soon as he stops he starts coughing up Orange and Red Roses some blood coming up with them.
Baku - *sigh* I'm so Tired Of Love....

Bakugou woke up and looked in his sink at the roses and blood, this has been going on since 2nd year of middle school and they're 2nd year high schoolers now. It started when Izuku got his first girlfriend. Katsuki knew he had a crush on the boy so when he heard he started dating a girl his heart shattered and he felt his throat burn a little for the first time. He ignored it but soon after he started to throw up flower petals. He hadn't told his parents about it and didn't plan on going to a hospital so he looked up all the symptoms he was experiencing and found the 'Hanahaki Disease' -- A fictional disease caused by a unrequited/one-sided love. The Hanahaki's victims experience a burning in their throat where the favorite flowers of their crush grows, this causes shortage of breath and blood loss. While it can be cured the only way is through getting surgery. The downside to this is you will completely forget your crush. Roses have been said to be the most dangerous flower because of the thorns cutting up the victims throat. In most of the stories Katsuki read, all the ones with Roses had to get the surgery almost immediately.
And to Katsuki's luck, Izuku's favorite flowers just so happened to be Red, Orange, and Black Roses. He was devastated when he realized what he had to do. So he got a part time job and saved up chore money to have enough for a surgery. Once he saved up enough he made sure to say one last goodbye to Izuku and that he was sorry. Izuku didn't understand why he would do that and shook it off as another one of his jokes. The day of the surgery came and He wasn't sure if he actually wanted to go through with it. The doctors refused to even check him at first because they didn't believe him until he coughed up a flower and blood. Their faces when they saw the disease was actually real was a bit more terrified rather than surprised, yet they went through with it and just like the article said he forgot Izuku, or so he wished he did. Even though he got the surgery He still remembered Izuku, all their memories were still there, he still liked him, the only thing he forgot was why he had gotten Hanahaki in the first place.
It just so happened that Izuku was now surrounded by girls and stated standing up for himself more. The Hanahaki came back, this time a bit worse. He was hurt at the fact Izuku could just date someone without even turning an eye in his direction and the time Izuku first stood up for himself 'I HATE YOU!' The words he said rang through Katsuki's head like a voice you wouldn't wanna forget. But this voice WAS something he wants to forget. So he decided to leave it for a little while longer this time. It had past 2 years and they were in 1st year at UA This being the third year he's had the disease it was worse than ever and was starting to show on his face. He didn't notice until Mina said something. He just yelled at her and played it off as something his mother put on him. He ran out the class and went into the bathroom to look at his face. He coughed up two whole flowers and realized he needed to get rid of this. So he got the surgery a second time. Still, his feelings for Izuku were not gone, the only good thing was that his memory of those two years were changed into what we've all seen as Bakugou bullying Deku. That's not exactly a good thing-- but at least the flowers were gone, for a little while at least . Even though Katsuki was able to participate in training the next day it still hurt like hell for him to move.
But he was a great actor and looked almost fully normal, it seemed Aizawa was the only one to notice that he wasn't as aggressive as usual but he shook it off as he felt if he had asked he'd be intruding on something too personal. Everything was fine until Bakugou took a break and his eyes found their way onto Izuku, he was just watching his every move and then it happened. Uraraka was at her limit and started falling and Izuku being the person he is went to catch her. He landed wrong though and slipped causing Uraraka to fall on him her boobs in his face. The burning started...
But back to the present, Katsuki sighed when looking at the blood and flowers then left his bathroom to get dressed and ready for school. His phone suddenly vibrates and he looks to see it's a message in the class chat from Izuku asking everyone to come to the common room.
Baku - Him and round face are probably telling the class.... Fuck love
Another Flower drops
Baku - I don't think i'll make it out of UA alive....
He walks out his room and right as he's about to enter the common room he hears Izuku talking.
Izu - Is everyone here???
Kiri - Bakubro's isn't!
Izu - He doesn't matter at the moment he already knows
'Yup they're def telling the class' - Katsuki Thought his throat burning up from the tone Izuku used when referring to him,
Kiri - O-oh.. Ok then.
Izu - Anyway, me and Uraraka have something to say!
Ura - U-uh!! Yea, W-were Dating!
Mina - Really!! That's so nice! Congratulations...!
Mina wasn't very ecstatic at the news because she figured out Bakugou liked Midoriya a while ago and ships them, so this kinda broke her heart, then she realized that Bakugou already knows and started to get up to go find him.
Kami - Mina? Where are you going??
Mina - O-oh! I left something i-in my room!! Haha... BE RIGHT BACK!!!
She quickly walked away to go find Bakugou
Kami💭: Isn't the girls dorms the other way?? Oh well
When Mina turned the corner she started walking as the "Crangrats' and voices of her classmates drown out. As soon as she reaches the elevator she stops after hearing crying coming from the bathroom. She walks towards the door not entering yet but her ear on the door to hear clearly.
Baku - SHIT!! WHY!!! WHY AM I FUCKING CRYING!?! I knew this would happen... I knew he hated me.... I even knew he was straight... and yet.. I- I CAN'T FUCKING DO THIS!! I need to get the surgery again don't I...
Mina - *knocks and opens door slightly* Bakubae... Can I come in..
Bakugou realizes his shirt and mouth is still covered in blood, there's flowers everywhere and his face is stained with tears. But he doesn't care. He just wants someone to be there with him.
Baku - Mina...? If it's you then please.... help..
Mina walks in and her eyes widen at the sight of Bakugou with Roses surrounding him, blood in the sink and around his mouth, and his face stained with tears. She starts tearing up and runs over to hug him.
Mina - W-what happened!! Why are you covered in blood!?!? C-CAN I D-DO S-SOMETHING!!! W-WH-
She doesn't finish her sentence and breaks down crying while holding on to Bakugou like her life depended on it. Bakugou starts crying again and hugs Mina back and they have their own little breakdown on the bathroom floor surrounded by Roses and some blood.
After about 5 minutes they stop crying and Mina helps Bakugou clean up the bathroom and they fix their appearances, Mina helped Bakugou get to his room without being seen because he still has blood on his shirt and Bakugou gave her one of his hoodies because some blood got on her as well. They sit in silence for a bit then Mina speaks up.
Mina - Bakugou.. I want answers... What. was. THAT.
Baku - ...You won't believe me when I tell you this.. But do you know what the Hanahaki Disease is...?
Mina - Yes, the fictional disease that causes flowers to grow in your throat... What about it??
Baku - it's not fictional, it's real... And I have it, i've had it for over 4 years to be specific.
Mina's eyes went wide again as she started to piece everything together.
Mina - Wait- wouldn't you be de-
Baku - i'll tell you later, for now we gotta get to class...
Mina - *sigh* Fine, but I won't let you avoid my questions later!
Baku - *Chuckles* wouldn't dream of it Raccoon eyes...
They slightly smile then start making their way back downstairs, grabbing breakfast to go and sprinting to class. Bakugou forced Mina on his back because she was moving too slow.
When they make it to the classroom Bakugou throws open the door and Mina hops off his back, they're both laughing and Bakugou is out of breath.
Mina - LET'S GO AGAIN!!
Baku - Huff, Huff Maybe- Huff Later.. Haha! Huff Yea.. Later!
Mina - YAAY!! HAHAHA!!
The whole class is shooketh at the two classmates that just came through the door.
Baku - Holy Shit... Your heavy as fuck!
Mina - WHA- YOU BITCH!
She attacks him and Bakugou dodges while laughing and running, they chase each other round the room for a bit then pretty soon the rest of their squad joins in. The class laughs at their stupidity and soon Aizawa-sensei walks through the doors and everyone sits down.
Aizawa - Alright everyone, as you know were going to start learning about Fictional and fantasy things. And today's lesson is on-
Hanahaki Disease.
