THIRD PERSON
jeongyeon's lawyer went over to inform nayeon to some changes of their set-up due to the alarming incident that had happened to jeongyeon in nayeon's company, as the lawyer of a multi-billionaire it was his job to protect jeongyeon legally.
"so i'd be the one to go over his company??" nayeon asked politely as she understands why the lawyer has to inform her about the changes
"yes, Mr. Yoo actually doesn't wants a set up like this...but his main lawyer has advised me to do this, so i had to" jeongyeon's lawyer politely explained
"again, im so sorry of what my friend has caused to jeongyeon...i am willing to pay for the charges as it happened here" nayeon voluntarily said
"oh by those charges? Mr. Yoo has told me that your friend choi siwon wont pay for it anymore as both parties didn't liked what happened" jeongyeon's lawyer smiled then get the signed letter jeongyeon has prepared for proof
nayeon felt more bad as jeongyeon was the one who's being more open to her side. as if siwon didn't caused him huge problems especially to his health, nayeon suddenly thinked that jeongyeon is only doing this because he also caused some damages to her. her trust
"is he available?? can i go pay him a visit? i feel very bad right now" nayeon chuckled awkwardly
"yes he is, he's still probihited to go to public places alone for safety purposes" the lawyer explained and stood up
nayeon then stood up and grabbed her things to pay jeongyeon a visit to check his condition, and make sure that siwon didn't totally caused him something serious.

jeongyeon was currently taking an afternoon break after drowning himself to a heavy load of work when jihyo suddenly entered with a worried face
"sir, Ms.Nayeon is here to visit you... she's currently with your lawyer" jihyo nervously said
soon as jeongyeon heard nayeon's name, he sat up an instant with a widened eyes then said
"im only expecting mr. Lee... but why is nayeon here??" jeongyeon panickingly asked
"she said she's visiting you, thats all" jihyo said then immediately left before she could spill something controversial to him
not long after nayeon entered together with his lawyer making him not get settled to see nayeon, even if he had seen nayeon for so many months now he's still feeling nervous around her, he's still not used with her presence.
"Mr. Yoo, the termination of your partnership contract is at its last stage and will be terminated soon, here's ms. im to discuss things with you.. ill leave you two be" the lawyer informed and handed out the letter that the court has released regarding with their contract termination.
the main reason why jeongyeon agreed to his upper lawyer on restricting him from going to nayeon's company aside from his safety... it is not to see her and avoid her existence, but nayeon does really have her ways making his plans to go into waste. how can he restart all over again if nayeon does things on her ways?.
nayeon sat down to jeongyeon's couch waiting for the latter to open up a conversation, but it seems that jeongyeon was not getting back to his senses yet. he was so nervous and shaking so bad that he can't even move an inch to where he is, nayeon noticed it and intentionally faked a cough bringing back jeongyeon to his senses.
"w-why are you here ms. im??" jeongyeon asked with a shaky voice and walked over to the other couch
he sat down with trembling legs and arms then acted normally, but nayeom witnessed jeongyeon's gestures making her go curious why jeongyeon seems to be nervous around her.
"seriously thats what you're going to ask me? aren't you gonna greet me first??" nayeon said with full bitchy attitude
"sorry..i i-im not really expecting you'll come b-by" jeongyeon stuttered
"seriously tell me, why do you always seem to be nervous around me? if this is about what we had before? please set it aside. be professional" nayeon seriously said then looked over to jeongyeon with no expression at all
"s-sorry...i-im just worried, but thank you for clarifying" jeongyeon bowed a bit
"i am here to check on you since your lawyer had told me that you have been restricted to come over my company, so... are you doing fine??" nayeon asked, trying to stay professional
"i am doing fine... thank you for checking on me" jeongyeon immediately looked away soon as he answered
"by the way... im also here to apologize on behalf of siwon's actions towards you and aside from that i just knew that my sister had a huge debt from you before so i am here to pay it all, so i dont owe you anything anymore" nayeon finally settled her intentions then took out her check book
but jeongyeon stopped her by placing his hand to her check book then said
"that debt was already been settled by your father years ago by putting it in to the foundation we had established" jeongyeon finally got his professionalism back and immediately removed his hand from nayeon's check book
"and about siwon's actions... please dont be worried about it anymore, its all fine to me! again, i should've known my place at first. sorry for causing too much damages between you and him, truly i am" jeongyeon smiled faintly and lowered his head not long after
"can i ask something??" nayeon suddenly became gentle
jeongyeon looked up with a weary eyes then faced nayeon to give her a nod
"why do you keep on apologizing back, when in the first place siwon did something beyond to you? you even told your lawyer to set aside the charges placed to siwon. why??" nayeon asked without giving any expression to her face then leaned back to the couch
"lets just say that what i did is something bigger than what he did, thats why im repaying?" jeongyeon then stared at nayeon with his trembling lips pressed together
"oh... so you're still guilty of what you did? wow im impressed that you are" nayeon chuckled making jeongyeon go lower his head
even if he wants to defend himself, he cant. how can he defend himself when he was the one committed a mistake? its clear to him that he should be the one to lower his ego.
"yes.. so please, avoid me before i cause you another trouble again" jeongyeon's shaky voiced cracked making nayeon to crease her forehead
"i can't believe you're acting the victim card right now, seriously! how do you act being kind when you're not??" nayeon finally stepped out her line and started to question jeongyeon
"acting like you're the gentle one and who was taken advantage? seriously it cringes me. stop it" nayeon said with sulking laugh
"stop" jeongyeon calmly stated but all nayeon did was laugh at him more
"wae? feeling guilty??" nayeon questioned with a laugh
"I SAID STOP!" jeongyeon finally reached his peak and couldn't handle the sting in his heart
he slammed the mini-tabled inbetween them, jeongyeon clearly lost his temper making nayeon go fear him. this is the very first time she had seen him angry, and she's seriously shivering in fear.
but what surprised her more was to see jeongyeon tearing down, the irritation she was currently having towards him all became a pity. his eyes clearly told her how hurt he is
"you can say all the things you wanted to say, b-but you are not in the right place to tell me that i a-am playing the victim card! when in the first p-place... it haunts me everyday!" jeongyeon sobbed and stood up in frustration, he took a pause gaining his self together "it haunts me every god damn day nayeon! it felt like i was stuck in a dungeon where everything is nothing but regret! EVERYDAY NAYEON! i know i h-hurted you and i am deeply sorry about it" jeongyeon took a deep breathe
"im doing my best everyday just to better, i even flew to thailand just for an spiritual growth but the regret is still here, it wont leave me! Its torturing me" jeongyeon cried and kept on pointing his heart
"i know it hurted you, but its hurting me more! i just lost you! i just lost the woman who believed in me! and whenever i remember nor recall that night... i feel disgusted with my self! I keep in questioning myself why i still have the audacityto live the life that caused nothing? but damages? i wish i could just let go of this pain easily..but i can't- i cant nayeon" jeongyeon weakly dropped himself to his desk to wipe all his tears away
"it was like im convicted of a crime i know i didn't committed! i didn't cheated on you! for pete's sake! i didn't! but how can i prove that i didn't when i was the one who sent you the video? i am innocent but then.... there's that evidence" jeongyeon lowered his head and sniffed as he was having a hard time to breathe
nayeon couldn't contain herself and just wanted to cry already, she had never seen him this weak never this pleading, aside from the day when she broke up with him. nayeon wanted to believe he was innocent, she always wanted to! but jeongyeon was right, how? when he was the one who sent the video?.
Nayeon was about to speak up but jeongyeon spoke up again
"ill tell my lawyers to process the termination an instant so you won't be bothered with my existence anymore, ill do my best to process it soon as possible. thank you for visiting miss Im" jeongyeon gained his self again and left his own office to leave nayeon all by herself
jihyo noticed the harsh walk out of jeongyeon from his office so she immediately went in to check on nayeon, because it seems that nothing good happened between the two
"yah! what happened?! he seemed not in the mood" jihyo worryingly asked
all nayeon did was to look over nayeon with a teary eyes
"did you two had a misunderstanding again?" jihyo stroked her palms to nayeon's back to lessen the tension that the latter is currently experiencing
"aish...i bet you said something offending to him? tsk Im Nayeon!" jihyo slightly scolded nayeon
jihyo knows jeongyeon so much that she can even guess what made jeongyeon act like that
as for jeongyeon, he immediately went to the ground floor and went out of the building to have some air to breathe. nayeon being near makes him suffocate, he then think that nayeon wasn't the same anymore and it gave him a reason to stop loving her. it was a sign that it was time to stop and start moving forward.
"need a smoke??" one of jeongyeon's security guard offered as he noticed jeongyeon feeling pressured
Jeongyeon didn't thinked twice and openly accepted the cigarette that is been offered to him, its been years since the last time he smoked. So it wasn't really a big deal if he tries on today
"thanks..." jeongyeon mumbled with the cigarette placed on his lips, then starte lighting it up

Nayeon straightly went home after that shocking and heart cracking moment, she didn't bothered to go back to work - as she felt more tired absorbing the pain than the stress of working.
As she walks to the patio of their house, a familiar figure welcomed her. Siwon...
Siwon who's currently sitting at her house door, asking for an approval to see lia.
"he-" siwon was about to greet nayeon a good afternoon but it seems nayeon was troubled, he didn't continued his sentence anymore then let nayeon be
Nayeon straightly went to him with a tight hug, burying her face to siwon's well-toned chest. Siwon on the other hand couldn't do anything but to pat nayeon's back, and let out a long sigh as he comforts her.
"what happened this time?" siwon softly asked
Nayeon shook her head and slightly smacked his back and said
"just... Dont do silly things again" nayeon uttered
Siwon smiled with the thought that was still "somehow" concerned, but then again. It doesn't change the fact that nayeon doesn't love him.
"i already sent an apology letter to jeongyeon's... Im thinking that maybe...just maybe! We could start back again?? Things were kinda fucked up right now, if thats fine with you?..." siwon shyly asked
He was expecting a no, but then nayeon nodded continuously making him surprised.
"lets start over again... This time let me try to open my heart for you" nayeon faintly said looking up to siwon
Siwon's world suddenly stopped soon as he heard it, it felt like he won the lottery. It made him more determined to win nayeon, he then hugged nayeon back tightly and said
"i wont let you down!" siwon happily rejoiced then kissed nayeon's temple lovingly
"just.... Don't do it again, luckily jeongyeon still has a compassion for you" nayeon said boringly as she was still not over what happened earlier
"im sorry if i caused you trouble...i'll do my best this time" siwon smiled
The only reason that nayeon is suddenly letting siwon formally court her again is because she's aware that she could possibly fall in love with jeongyeon again, and siwon being around will help her divert her attention - but based from what she witnessed earlier? Its pretty obvious that jeongyeon was still hurting with what he did.
jeongyeon has a special spot in her heart though jeongyeon had cheated on her.
Jeongyeon would always be her first love, her first boyfriend.
Even if you turn the world up-side down, it would always be him.
