TEN MONTHS
LATER
junk cook 👨🍳
hey look i know i was
cynical about this whole
'therapy' thing, but i'm
actually beginning to feel
more at ease outside now
hoe, soak
I told you it would work
eventually
I'm glad it's going well :)
It wasn't that long ago
but it all feels like such
a fever dream now, I
sometimes wonder if it
really happened or not
slay hyung
hoseok, these nicknames
may be worse than any
you've come up with so
far.
hoe, soak
I'm adding humour to
your otherwise abysmal
existence, Tae
soo chin
my crutches and i can
confirm it was, in fact,
not a dream
slay hyung
so can my 42 stitches.
junk cook 👨🍳
and my fear of social
media can also confirm
hoe, soak
Okay, okay fair
soo chin
my accounts are on
lock now, i know he's
gone, but there's no
way i'm ever speaking
to a rando on the internet
ever again
junk cook 🧑🍳
it's not ideal, but at least
we have each other now
hoe, soak
That didn't mean we had
to move in together, Kook
I've become a housewife since
living with the lot of you
junk cook 🧑🍳
you make a very good housewife
10/10 stars on yelp
for real though, i feel safer knowing
we're all together, nothing bad can
happen now that we're together,
right?
how, soak
Right 🥰

taehyung ♥️
soo? are you working?
me
yeah, but i can talk
are you okay?
taehyung ♥️
i can't stop thinking about
what yoonmin said.
do you mind if i meet you
after work?
me
that's fine
what do you mean?
taehyung ♥️
they never found yoongi's body.
what if he really is still out there?
me
i've been thinking about that too
but it's been almost a year, tae. if
he was still out there, don't you
think we'd know by now?
besides, you heard what they
said, it would be really unlikely
for him to survive that fall
without hospital treatment
taehyung ♥️
unlikely, but not impossible.
maybe i'm just overthinking.
me
perhaps
it's normal to do that, tho
you spent years thinking
you'd be the one to die
but you're here, tae
you're here and i'm here
too. whatever you feel,
we'll do this together
i promised i'd stay by
your side
taehyung ♥️
i love you.
me
i love you, too :)
Smiling at her phone, Soojin's chest fluttered as her mind was warmed with warm thoughts of her boyfriend. Everyday felt better than the last with him, she got to watch as he slowly became himself without the anxiety of Yoongi looming over him. When they found out that no body had been recovered at the school, he could barely sleep. But as months passed and their lives continued, with his constant therapy sessions, he was beginning to unwind.
Soojin sometimes wondered if they did the right thing by hiding the involvement Taehyung and Jungkook had in the murders from the police, but Yoonmin had insisted they had spent enough time in confinement, their sins atoned for already. Everything had been pinned on Min Yoongi, which to be honest, was the truth.
"What are you thinking about?" Her coworker's soft voice broke her reverie, and she smiled, turning to face Jimin.
"Not a lot," She dismissed, "What about you? You've done nothing but look at your phone all shift."
"Ah," Jimin chuckled, "My friend is finally coming to visit me, I've been trying to hold my excitement all day, but it's really hard. He's meeting me from work."
"Oh?" Soojin's eyebrows rose nonchalantly as he began to pack away the cups, "Has it been some time since you last saw him?"
"Truthfully, I haven't met him," Jimin rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "His name is Kim Seokjin and I, uh, I met him a while back online and we've just been really good friends. He's been sick, so we haven't been able to meet up, but he said he's finally better now."
Soojin felt dubious, but it was due to her own experience with meeting people on the internet without knowing for sure who they were, "Have you seen him? Like, really seen his face?"
"Of course I have, I'm not an idiot," Jimin snorted, "Imagine getting catfished in 2019... couldn't be me."
Soojin felt her cheeks burn but decided against saying anything. He had a point.
"He's outside already, oh god," Jimin huffed, "I'm suddenly very nervous."
Soojin chuckled lightly, turning to face her friend, "I'm sure it'll be fine, Jimin. What does he look like anyway?"
"Here, I'll show you!"
Her blood ran cold and her breath hitched in her throat. No. It's impossible
But it wasn't. It wasn't impossible.
She needed to run, she needed to get out before she saw her, before she was thrown back into the same position she was almost a year ago.
But it was already too late.
"Lim Soojin? Long time no see."
