The Villain closed her eyes in defeat.
It only took a second before the sound of metal ripping into flesh could be heard.
However she felt no pain, instead she felt her entire body become wrapped in a warm embrace.
It was comforting as it surrounded her.
The Villain was caught off guard, before she could open her eyes and utter a single word of resistance her lips were also captured by a tender sweet softness.
The sensation was unlike anything the Villain was used to, the touch was gentle and sincere as though conveying the message of longing, deep longing, unobtainable longing...
It felt lonesome.
It felt almost like a goodbye...
The Villain opened her eyes in shock and looked up.
As she did this she was simply met with familiar dark eyes, only now they also seemed to shine with a warm happiness mixed with deep sadness...
Then the Villain tasted it, the kiss that had just been so sweet and tender a second ago now tasted bitter and metallic, full of iron.
Immediately she pulled away filled with confusion.
A hand landed on her cheek as soft fingers gently caressed her skin, once again reminiscent of a parting.
Like this the Villain heard a weak whisper towards her ear.
"I'm glad... you're safe. I'm sorry I can't... keep my promise to stay with you forever."
"What...?" The Villain grew rigid, her normally cruel and stiff face slightly contorted into something of disbelief.
It was only then that she felt the feeling of sticky liquid brush against her fingertips from the man's broad back.
"I wish... I wish I had more time with you, to properly love you... I-I wish... you could have grown to love me..." Jun whispered ever so softly as his voice began to fade.
He was growing weaker.
The Villain was still terribly confused as Jun's large body slightly leaned on her and threatened to collapse at any second.
What's going on?
This isn't right...
The Villain's dazed eyes glanced behind Jun towards Liu Wei and Li Mei.
Liu Wei had been stabbed by her sharp longsword and suddenly choked out a handful of blood but he wasn't the only one, the FL also seemed to be suffering.
She was on the ground also coughing up blood, she seemed to be dying...
The Villain was confused until she realized why Li Mei was also suffering.
It seemed they were soul bound... they would die together.
Everything was a mess.
The Villain seemed to be the only one left untouched...
It wasn't right.
Suddenly Liu Wei staggered a few feet behind as his furious gaze looked up towards her, he seemed to be seething with rage.
Liu Wei: "You..."
In the blink of an eye Liu Wei leapt forward!
It only took a second before he yanked the dagger out of the man's back, blood seemed to flow out endlessly.
Jun stumbled out of her arms as he could barely keep standing.
"Huh...?" It was so sudden the Villain didn't have time to react.
"YOU'RE STILL ALIVE!? I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL KILL YOU!! I'LL KILL YOU!!!" Liu Wei raised the now bloody dagger that he had just ripped out of flesh as he looked down with vicious eyes.
It was clear he still intended to stab her.
The Villain did nothing, her mind was blank as she saw all the blood flow from Jun's back, her mind was numb with chaos as she couldn't quite process the events.
Although her sword had cleanly pierced Liu Wei's chest he pushed on, still driven by notions of revenge.
Just as he attempted to swing the bloody dagger down with all his might, a sudden powerful palm strike propelled Liu Wei back towards the forest trees.
"GAh!" Finally Liu Wei was done he had used up the last bit of his energy, he had no more as he fell to the ground.
He wasn't the only one.
Jun had also used the last bit of his energy on the palm strike, now he was drained, exhausted.
"Ha, Sun, I love you..." His hand reached out to once again softly touch her cheek, however his hand never reached as he paused midway and pulled back.
"....I'm...Sorry...." With that the weakening man collapsed onto the cold hard ground.
In an instant it was over.
Three bodies littered the ground while the Villain was the only one left standing, cold and all alone.

All at the same time five ominous dings rang out in the Villain's numb mind.
She looked around at what she had just done.
However she wasn't in the right state of mind to process things as she simply looked around dazed.
She looked down at the dying man, everything suddenly became pointless, her mind clouded over as she could no longer think about anything but what was right before her.
In a trance she slowly staggered over to Jun.
"...J...J... Ju..." She tried to finish the name but it couldn't cross her lips, she grew terrified at what bitter silence would await her if she called out to the young man.
"Ah you can't die yet... you can't die, you can't die...you can't... I still- I still had a plan... I-I still...it's too early-you can't..."
She stumbled beside the bloody man. "Wake-wake up...wake up..." She softly mumbled, hoping such whispers would be enough to "waken" him.
Alas, his eyes remained closed as his body drew a pool of blood.
"Yo-you were supposed to outlive me... you-you were supposed to stay in this world, become immortal. Your soul won't survive another world... right?"
"Why would you do this...why..." The Villain couldn't comprehend why the man was dying on the ground instead of her.
It wasn't right.
This wasn't how things were supposed to be.
It made no sense, why would he sacrifice himself for her? It wasn't right, she was the Villain what right did she have to be saved?
She had been cruel to him in this world, she had been willing to die, yet why was it him instead...
Why was he the one to apologize to her...
It made no sense.
Although she remained outwardly calm and quite, inwardly the Villain's mind was in chaotic disarray.
She was used to pain and death, she had seen so much of it in many worlds that she had long grown numb to it, yet somehow, somehow this young man nearing death's door was enough to make her entire being tremble.
She hadn't felt pain in so long, but now she was breaking from it.
After all, in these last four worlds while the Villain felt her ultimate death approach, this man had been her only saving grace, in saving him, he had also saved her.
She had felt things she hadn't felt in a long time...
Only a few minutes had passed since the event and the Villain had yet to take it in.
No, she didn't want to take it in, she was not one to accept things as they came, rather she always repressed the things she didn't want to see.
Like this she stiffly stared down at the dying man, dazed and in a state of nothingness.
"I-If I can just stop the blood-" The Villain's hands trembled, although she was not queasy to blood, when it came to Jun she was too afraid to touch the area that had been so deeply wounded.
However in the next moment it didn't matter, Jun's heartbeat that had still been slowly beating, suddenly stopped.
"Ah..." The Villain was stunned, she reached out her hand to confirm the lack of pulse.
Nothing.
"Jun...?"
Silence.
Yes, it had stopped.
His body was ever still.
There was no heartbeat.
"j-JUNN!"
Jun was dead.
