The two spent a few days at the edge of the forest, S used this time to silently meditate in order to gather and calm her chaotic Qi.
In this way she hoped that by the time she faced off against the Liu Wei and Li Mei that she would have enough energy to put on a good show.
Meanwhile Huizhen was busy collecting herbs deep in the forest to help S.
As S finished meditating she rose and stretched her tired limbs, her body had already become more mortal and with it was the added stress of human problems.
The Villain looked at her slightly dirty robes and body. "Ah perhaps I should also bathe, after all I've simply been meditating for the past few days."
The Villain knew there was a waterfall close by so she began walking.
The Villain walked into the forest, she was progressively slower without her sword to glide on.
Walking deeper in she could hear the methodical sound of a waterfall beating down onto the surrounding earth.
With quick strides it didn't take long for her to get to the misty location, quickly she made her way to the edge of the water's clearing.
"Ah I suppose I should secure the perimeter..." S closed her eyes and used her weak Qi to concentrate on the area.
"Hmmm nothing in sight, not even a wild beast..." With this she no longer paid attention as she began to remove her robes.
Once she was fully unclothed she lightly dipped her toes in.
The water was slightly cold but quite refreshing, slowly she dipped her entire body in until she was fully submerged in the cool soothing water.
Now she could better relax and clear her mind in order to take on Liu Wei and Li Mei.
"I suppose I should plan out my last few day-hmmm...?"
Just as the Villain intended to relax and think she felt a sudden cold chill run up her spine.
The Villain concentrated her Qi again, but sensing nothing she turned to the system.
"System."
....
All was quiet.
"System?"
Still no response was heard.
The Villain sighed, it was no use the system seemed to be glitching out even more recently. She had no idea why.
"Still it's not like I'll be given answers if I think about it..." Like this the Villain decided not to waste her energy on endless rabbit holes that lead nowhere, instead she focused her attention back to the crystal blue water.
"The water is simply cold." The Villain paid no mind to the strange sensation she had experienced earlier instead simply swam a little deeper.
The waterfall beat down onto the water, it created a rhythmic tempo that allowed the Villain to dwell on her thoughts and not be interrupted by other sounds.
Like this she began to fully bask and bathe her body, fully immersing herself in the tranquil waters.
The water glided across her skin as her wet hair loosely draped around her body, it created a seductive scene with the water forming almost a mirage of a water fairy.
After some time of basking her hair became soaked and her body cleansed, now she was all clean as she intended to finish.
Slowly she began walking towards the shore to dry off , however suddenly she heard the sound of cracking tree branches.
The Villain: "Ah it must be Huizhen."
Just as she was about to call out she realized something.
The approaching force was too powerful!
Due to her relaxed nature her reflexes weren't fast enough as she suddenly sensed it approach! Immediately the thing rushed towards the Villain at the speed of light!
Just as the Villain was about to take up a fighting stance she saw a blur and felt the presence of someone instantly appear, in that instance something aggressively pressed against her lips as her body was immediately encapsulated within the warm embrace of a certain man!
'Hmmmm!' The Villains eyes widened but she couldn't say anything, the man tightly locked around her, his mouth on her lips and his arms tightly around her he wouldn't let her go!
He was like a snake as he wrapped tightly around her, his hold was almost impenetrable!
His mouth pressed aggressively against hers.
The sensation of sweet passion mixed with the dewy water left the aftertaste of a sort of summer freshness.
As the kiss intensified it left a tingling sensation on the Villain's lips.
She felt herself lost in a trance as the two became intertwined.
Even without looking she knew for certain the man was Jun, after all he was the only one she didn't grow disgusted to kiss.
Seeming deeply unsatisfied the other party delved in deeper as he forced the kiss to turn even more intense.
With this the kiss became filled with an even deeper fiery passion and crazy intoxication.
It was as if the man was airing out all of his frustrations in a single kiss as he pressed roughly against her.
The man kissed so deep that the Villain found herself unable to breath, he continued to tightly wrap around her as though he planned to eternally lock her in place, or as if he wished to merge with her entire being.
Even as the Villain found her mind begin to turn foggy from the intensity of the man's ferociousness he didn't let up at all, he continued to have his way pressing deeper!
Just as the Villain found herself lost, she suddenly felt something forced down her throat.
The Villain: "!!!"
Finally her mind cleared slightly as she forcefully bit the lips pressed deep against her, the taste of iron filled her mouth while she focused on separating.
With all her strength she forcefully pushed away, however due to her lack of oxygen her body prevailed less strength than intended as she was just barely able to separate from the kiss.
'What did he give me?' She wanted to cough up whatever she had been given but the man pressed his hand against her chin and forced her head to face him.
Finally her eyes darted up towards Jun, it was then that she noticed his current state...
His forehead was deeply creased as his eyes looked weary, swirling with a strange sort of madness.
A hint of blood lingered on his lips from where she had bitten but he didn't seem to mind it at all as his eyes kept staring deep into her's.
The Villain was almost caught off guard as she wanted to step back, but unfortunately she was still encased in the man's arms.
"~I finally caught you Sensei." The man gave a crazed smile as his eyes looked dark and gloomy.
He continued to hold tightly onto the Villain not daring to ease up.
"How did he get to me so fast..? And how did he find me? I didn't leave any tracts behind, and I didn't even sense him..." The Villain wanted to ask these questions, but as she looked down one of them was answered.
In the water on his waist she could see a somewhat large waterproof bag and her sharp longsword fastened to it, he must have used the sword she left behind to fly towards her.
However it didn't explain how he found her so fast to begin with...
Before she could ask him anything she was tightly dragged to the shore of the water.
The man no longer looked at her and instead starred forward.
"Put this on!" Quickly he held out her dry dark robe that had been waiting on the shore.
It was at that moment the Villain noticed her dripping wet, naked body...
The Villain: "...."
She wanted to immediately turn away and rub her tired eyes wondering again how she got into such a ridiculous predicament.
Still as she looked closely at Jun she noticed his trembling hands holding the robe, his eyes were darted towards her feet while his gloomy face held hints of a subtle blush, the Villain couldn't held but imagine him as a trembling little lamb.
It was only natural for him to have such a reaction, he was young after all, he'd have this type of reaction with anyone or so the Villain convinced herself.
As she silently observed his reaction it was then that she recognized an opportunity, it was a clear opening for escape!
Quickly she reached out to receive the robe.
Grabbing it she quietly spoke up. "Turn around while I change."
She sounded calm but also mildly embarrassed with a hint of anger. It was as if she were truly angered to be caught in such a compromising situation.
Jun's demeanor immediately changed, although he had just appeared pure and innocent he now turned angered, the atmosphere grew heavy.
His deep voice resounded out cold and crazed. "So you can run away?"
S grew hesitant as her eyes made their way to the ground avoiding Jun's, still her voice remained calm as she once again quietly whispered. "Look away."
Jun shifted his gaze towards S's eyes, his disposition growing more and more chilling.
His eyes were cruel and dark before a surprising wide grin struck his lips. "...Hahah fine, I'll turn."
He was true to his word as he turned his back.
The Villain was confused by his actions, but alas she had no time to analyze it as a single thought rang through her head.
"An opening!"
In the matter of a split second the Villain threw on her robe before darting, without even allowing the man to think she would run away!
Escape was the only thing on her mind.
S was quick as she focused all her energy solely into her legs to run.
Although her body was currently weak, with her concentration and quick reflexes she was like a burr as she ran, she wouldn't be caught again!
Just as she thought she had the upper hand she instantly realized her mistake. After all she was the Villain, the Villain never won...
She immediately felt her body slow down becoming weak, she almost couldn't move!
"~Still trying to escape?" A chilling voice resounded from behind.
The Villain instantly went over everything that had happened as she remembered something. "Don't tell me the thing he forced down my throat was-"
Instantly the Villain felt her body completely tense and lock up, she was left immobile as she started to fall to the ground.
Before she made contact with the dirt she felt a strong pair of arms reach out and catch her.
Her eyes looked up, she saw Jun look down at her with an even deeper crazed look, his dark eyes angrily swirling as he looked like a madman.
"~Sensei taught me well, I've always memorized everything you've taught me."
The Villain confirmed her thoughts. "Tch, freezing heart... he gave me the same type of herb I gave him..."
It seems like he had already predicted she would try to escape the moment she saw him, so he gave it to her first thing as he made contact.
Jun fastened the robe around her before looking down at S wrapped in his embrace. "Seeing as you are still trying to leave, I suppose it's time I forcefully bind you to my side."
He began to activate the technique.
Just as he was about to apply the familiar soul binding technique the Villain quickly spoke out. "You can't!"
"Sensei doesn't have to worry, it will only take a moment before it's quickly done." Jun didn't pay any attention to the woman's words as he continued on, he wouldn't be swayed.
He couldn't let the woman escape again.
He wouldn't.
Just as he was about to begin S once again frantically spoke out. "If you do this I'll die!"
Hearing this, this time Jun briefly stopped, his dark eyes looked towards S. "Just accept and it will be done in only a minute-"
"My soul is weak from the failed attempt last time, if you try again I will surely die! If you intend to try again you will to at least have to wait a few more days."
Truthfully the technique would be fine but the young man who wasn't completely knowledgeable on it didn't know that, she would use any excuse or lie she could to avoid it.
Jun stared deep at the Villain eyes for a moment, he was certain the woman had to be lying, he was certain...
He just needed to do the technique and bind them-yet if there was even a small percentage of hurting or killing her then he couldn't do it...
Jun clenched his fists.
He wanted to preform the technique immediately! He wanted to... but he was scared.
He remembered the soul crushing fear he felt before when the woman left him behind and disappeared, his body unconsciously trembled.
If she were truly to die he wouldn't be able to handle it.
Even if it was likely a lie, if there was a slight possibility that it was true then he couldn't risk it...
He swiftly pulled his hand away.
"If that's the case I'll simply drag you back to the summit! Ha you can't escape your fate, when we get back I'll be sure to bind you to my side forever!"
Jun hauled S into his arms as she was unable to move, like this he held her body tight as he walked.
The Villain grew quiet, although she had won the battle she had lost the war.
He had somehow managed to find her and still intended to go through with soul binding.
She had at least bought herself a few days but she couldn't avoid it forever, Jun intended to use the technique at the soonest possible occasion.
He had gotten stronger, she couldn't simply escape...
The Villain's eyes slightly widened as she realized something.
'Has he reached the fifth stage?' Although she couldn't use her Qi right now to check because of the freezing heart herb she swallowed, she was certain he was at the fifth stage.
She remembered the force she felt just before he appeared in the water before her, it had been too powerful he was at the fifth stage.
The Villain was surprised, he had already progressed to another stage in the short time she hadn't seen him.
It was somewhat ridiculous.
He had progressed two stages in the span of a week...
Even if she had given her Qi to him originally, he was still extremely gifted, to have reached the fifth stage in a matter of three years was also outrageous.
Even for a ML it was surprising...
Thinking of ML's her mind suddenly flashed to Huizhen the 2ML, it was strange that Huizhen hadn't showed up at all.
No, perhaps not so strange...
"What did you do to Huizhen?" The Villain quietly asked.
Suddenly the air tensed.
As soon as she said the other man's name Jun instantly stiffened, his spite for the other man was overflowing.
The Villain feared for the worst.
Jun finally spat out. "Ha if he's alive then I don't think he'll be able to interfere for awhile."
Although he said it ferociously the Villain felt a little relief, she could tell that the other man was at least not dead.
This was evident by how Jun swiftly made it to her, if he had truly gone head to head with Huizhen and killed him, he would have taken longer and the Villain likely would have sensed the bloodlust in the air.
Since she was unable to sense it in the air even now, she was certain he hadn't killed Huizhen.
Thinking this she gave a light sigh at her current situation, this didn't go unnoticed by Jun.
He stiffened even more as he wondered if the Villain perhaps had thoughts of the other man, after all she liked Huizhen a lot more then himself...
He said nothing as he continued to tightly hold S in his arms, his insides felt twisted at the thought.
The woman hated him, he had to bind her to his side as soon as possible.
He had to use the soul binding technique, then he would kill the other man.
Once their souls were bound S could no longer escape, he wouldn't let her die. He would give her Qi and then make her an immortal again.
They would live as immortals together for an eternity.
With this thought in mind he slowly calmed his mind as he took out the sharp longsword belonging to S.
Using the floating sword technique he hopped onto the longsword with her in his arms, in order to hasten the journey back to the summit he would fly back and then apply the technique.
Desert note: I love writing these more crazy/dramatic chapters and from this arc on there's gonna be a lot more! After all Jun get's crazier every arc. I didn't really want to mention it before, but up until this arc I wouldn't really consider Jun yandere, he's had moments but now he's finally snapped! So from here on out like I mentioned, the arcs get crazier!
Also just a fun little detail you guys might have missed, the rain on chapter 28 wasn't just meant to show Jun's devastated emotions but it was also meant to foreshadow Jun reaching the next stage. Rain equals lightning, lightning can equal tribulation, and tribulation equals reaching the next stage (unless you fail). So right after the Villain left him on chapter 28 was when he progressed to the next stage.
Rain won't always equal tribulation for this arc (foreshadowing...) but in this case it was meant to represent that.
