Week later....
Chaeyoung was currently discussing with mina and their other friends with nayeon's sudden appointment, and was looking for a representative to talk with nayeon but it seems that none of them wants to take a post.
Not even mina
Not even jooyoung
"SO WHO THE FUCK WAS GOING TO BE OUR REPRESENTATIVE??!" chaeyoung yelled at their zoom meeting
"YOU!" all of them said in unison including mina
"YAH! BABY! YOU SHOULDN'T BE TAKING THEIR SIDE!" chaeyoung slightly hitted mina's shoulder in disbelief
"well you're the one who's in-charge with this company, therefore you should be the one" mina explained firmly making chaeyoung leave have no choice
All their friends laughed on the zoom meeting making chaeyoung to frown in annoyance
"why cant you be the one to face her? You know? Girls talk?" chaeyoung held mina's palm as if he was begging
"no, jeongyeon and i had a past remember? and nayeon used to curse me in her head about it? So... no" mina seriously said
Until the door opened showing off chaeryeong, newly arrived from school.
"MOMMY DADDY! I HAD A STAR!" chaeryeong proudly showed to her parents
Chaeyoung then picked his daughter up and sat her to his lap and showed a shock reaction
"wow! I know you'd do well!" chaeyoung happily said
"im so proud of you honey" mina then kissed the top of chaeryeong's head when she noticed chaeyoung pouting
"what?" mina questioned as she seats back
"me too!" chaeyoung demanded but then mina glared at him and looked at chaeryeong, indicating that there's a kid
"i'll be right back! Im hungry!" chaeryeong informed her parents and went down to the cafeteria together with her nanny
"now is there a kid?" chaeyoung playfully wiggled his eyebrows leaving mina no choice but to give him a kiss
"oh god fine!" mina groaned and stood up
She went to chaeyoung and sat down to his lap, chaeyoung then wrapped his arms around mina's waist and claimed her lips. Mina brushed her lips to chaeyoung as she holds onto his broad shoulders, chaeyoung did the same and lovingly responded until they were lacking of air.
"wanna have a baby no.2?" chaeyoung playfully asked making mina to slap his chest so hard
"You dont know how much it hurts delivering chaeryeong! Its fine with me if you're going to be the one who'll bare the baby for 9 god damn months! BUT NO! ITS GOING TO BE ME" mina annoyingly explained making chaeyoung laugh so hard
"mianhae... Don't worry i'll wait until you're ready ready again" chaeyoung softly said and stole a peck on mina's lip
Then a call came, indicating that nayeon just arrived.
Chaeyoung widely looked at mina
"fine ill go with you" mina rolled her eyes and stood up making chaeyoung smile in victory.

"BITCH JUST GO IN!" jennie yelled on the other line
"I dont even want to be here!" nayeon slightly yelled over her phone as the employees are staring right at her
"omg, is that nayeon?"
"she hot man"
"i heard she's a CEO now"
"is she going to buy this company?"
Nayeon laughed at the gossips she's hearing then just shrugged it off as she makes her way to the lounge area to wait for jeongyeon's secretary, then minutes after jihyo arrived
She was stunned to see nayeon after 4 years and how huge she changed.
She managed to stay professional and said
"hi Ms.im? This way" jihyo smiled and lead the way making nayeon laugh
"YAH JIHYO-AH!" nayeon smacked her so hard making her flinch but she has to stay professional with her, nayeon is not the ordinary person she knew before
"Lets stay professional Ms. Im, then lets talk after" jihyo but nayeon pouted and acted like a disappointed baby
"seriously jihyo?" nayeon boringly looked at her, then jihyo nodded and said
"yes, because he's waiting" jihyo smiled and finally started walking
Somehow, nayeon felt nervous when jihyo said.. The happiness she felt when she saw jihyo suddenly turned into a worry and nervousness, making her want to ran away all of a sudden...
She followed where jihyo will head in, but she was amazed on how the building went bigger and fully renovated, almost everything was new and hard to distinguish from the last time she saw it.
Not later they arrived the conference room, nayeon felt more nervous and felt her heart rapidly beating and soon as she got in... She thought she would see jeongyeon patiently waiting for her, but no...
It was mina and chaeyoung who she saw.
Chaeyoung immediately ran to nayeon and gave his noona a tight hug making her chuckle, and as for mina she was just standing there with a smile.
She was not angry with jeongyeon's friends, her anger will only be for jeongyeon. No one will get involved with her anger for jeongyeon, and thats one of the thing that is fantastic with nayeon.
"oh god! Youre indeed back noona!" chaeyoung tightly hugged nayeon
"aigoo, you are still the same old chaeyoung" nayeon chuckled then finally chaeyoung let go of her with a teary eye
"welcome back nayeon unnie" mina smiled, then nayeon opened her arms for a hug
"so where's little chaeryeong?" nayeon happily asked the as they sit down
"with her nanny, she really likes wandering around the building" mina smilingly answered
Nayeon roamed her eyes to the whole new set up of the conference room and its quite more modern now than its last interior design
"so! Where's jeongyeon?" nayeon smilingly asked, she was excited to show jeongyeon who he wasted.
But then she noticed chaeyoung smile weirdly then said
"unfortunately you have to deal with us about your concern to hyung, he's still dealing with some matters overseas" chaeyoung nervously explained with those weird smile
"don't worry he's slowly settling it" mina added making nayeon satisfied why jeongyeon wasn't around
"but how about the last 4 years? My secretary informed me about his absence in every contract renewal of both companies? i have to make sure that my business partners won't runaway" nayeon seriously asked making chaeyoung and mina to look at each other and discuss about whether telling the truth to nayeon or just put up a white lie
But of course, jeongyeon doesn't lie and he doesn't covers up everything with a lie therefore he wouldn't like it if he knew the two lied about his reasons..
"well... You see noona, hyung had to go overseas and stay there for years as the company expands... And you know..-" chaeyoung was cutted when mina covered his mouth
"he went to thailand and stayed there for years to deal with his mental health, you know its not that easy to deal with it but what chaeyoung said was one of the reason too" mina answered straightly to the point
Suddenly, nayeon didnt believed what she's hearing, jeongyeon might be a needy man.. But he's not that type of man who gets easily affected with things, so she think about his mental health was full bluff
"ohhh" nayeon simply answered, she doesn"t want to offend the two for not believing them
"so what is your concern noona? Dont worry he knows everything were doing right now" chaeyoung asked
"im cutting ties with this company" nayeon firmly said
chaeyoung's eyes suddenly widened and as for mina who's currently sipping her tea, she almost burst it out... she was taken back to the sudden decision of nayeon.
"WHAT?!" the two said in unison
"ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS RIGHT NOW??" chaeyoung freaked out
"do i look like joking to you chaeyoung??" nayeon sighed and asked chaeyoung back, but then the young shook and lowered his head
"okay..." mina let out a deep sigh and swayed her hands in the air to calm both of them
"if you are being serious right now, then you have to make sure you'll survive the future issues of your company especially in manpower and services. Jeongyeon's company is one the companies who helps SM to increase sales..." mina explained nayeon's dangerous decision
"the company can manage under me, i handle two companies now and it can be dependent on its own now" nayeon confidently answered
"there's no certainty that your company can be dependent with that, it takes years noona..." chaeyoung explained with worry
"this has nothing to do with your past with jeongyeon right? because if certifies that it does.. SM will be doomed" mina seriously explained
"lets just say....both?? i don't wanna be around him anymore and at the same time the company will be under my power so ill run the company with own strategies" nayeon confidently said
because before going to TWICE international Corporate Industries, she had already studied everything up. she doesn't goes with a something with no preparation, she always comes prepared especially if there's no certainty that it would be a success, it would be a total NO for nayeon.
"this is going to be a long process noona, please think again" chaeyoung said again before requesting jihyo to get all the contracts for further legal consultation
"im sure chaeyoung-ah dont worry too much, ive already thinked about this many times already" nayeon smiled
"this is all set then?" mina stood up and offered a hand to nayeon, then nayeon nodded and stood up to accept mina's hand
but chaeyoung couldn't bare to stand up, he's just worried what jeongyeon will react and feel soon he hears or knows about this cutting ties of both companies. but at the same time he also felt he's going to lose a big sister, nayeon has become a family to him already even if they haven't heard about nayeon in 4 years already.
"can i ask you something??" chaeyoung devastatingly asked without cracking his voice
nayeon was certain that there was bothering chaeyoung that the younger can't even look directly to her
"sure chaeng, anything" nayeon answered as she gets her belongings
"is it true that you have a boyfriend already??" chaeyoung asked and diverted his sight somewhere
nayeon smiled and let out a deep breathe
"soon" nayeon answered then bid goodbye with a bow
soon nayeon get out of the conference and was escorted by jihyo, chaeyoung couldn't help but to feel sad for his hyung. jeongyeon doesn't stand chance, and its clearly conveyed.
mina went to chaeyoung to comfort her husband by hugging him from behind, mina then spoke up saying
"i know you're hurt for jeongyeon, but this is reality.. nayeon unnie had moved on already, all we can ever do is help him cope up with everything soon as he comes back" mina said and kissed the back of chaeyoung's shoulder
"i-its just that...t-that.. i can't endure it anymore honey, he had been through a lot already, i-i don't believe he's guilty of c-cheating..... i-i dont think s-so" chaeyoung teared down as he feel a sting in his heart
mina immediately went to chaeyoung's front and cupped his face as he tears down
"i believe the same... but its been 4 years already, we can't do anything about it anymore. its done, it already occured" mina explained and wiped away all her husband's tears
so do mina. she feels sad and pained with the tormenting past jeongyeon is facing right now

nayeon and jihyo had a little conversation as the latter escorts nayeon down to the lobby with her car waiting for her already.
"lets catch up in the weekends if you have the time! its been so long!" jihyo hugged nayeon tightly making the older to burst out laughing
"yes! and this time it would be my treat! see you soon jih!" nayeon bid goodbye and went inside the passengers seat of her hummer SUV
jihyo waved goodbye and went back inside the building not long after with a smile, little did she know something shocking will come up to her, something she hasn't expected nayeon will do.
"jihyo, Mr. Son was looking for you upstairs" one of her co-worker department informed so she immediately went to chaeyoung's office
she knocked and slowly went in the room and said
"i heard you were looking for me sir? is there anything you need" jihyo smilingly asked but it seems that chaeyoung wasn't in the mood
she noticed the puffed eyes chaeyoung has, no wonder why mina is beside him. maybe they had a little fight
"yes, please prepare the signed original contracts of SM corp and our company including the renewal of partnership" chaeyoung commanded
jihyo seemed not to understand why chaeyoung were asking for the legal documents, does this has to do with nayeon's visit?
"isn't that for legal purposes only?" jihyo asked and chaeyoung nodded
"yes, i need it for legal consultation" chaeyoung answered emotionless
suddenly, the happiness jihyo had from nayeon earlier became a worry
"w-wae" jihyo nervously asked
"she's cutting ties with this company, so please no more questions... we still have to inform the CEO about this" mina didn't let chaeyoung answer the question because she knows chaeyoung would just going to break down again
jihyo did what she has asked to do, she then went to legal resources of the company and get the legal papers with full heart ache. jihyo finally understands why chaeyoung was like that, jihyo then remembered jeongyeon.
Jeongyeon gave out all of his might to save SM corp under nayeon's dad almost near to bankruptcy so jeongyeon had to offer an help, it wasnt about nayeon anymore its all because of the bond he had with Mr. Im. and there, SM corp was back on its feet again becausse of jeongyeon hand of generosity. and to think of it right now, billions of won has become a total waste because of nayeon's decision.
all jeongyeon's generosity just came to nothing, especially those feelings that is obviously still lingering around.
nayeon was indeed surprising all of them right now.
