As the others catch up to him Aang is already looking at the papers
Sokka:Well see if you can find a menu...I'm starving...

Y/n:Fire Days...Festival...?
Sokka:That's literally the last place we should be looking for something to eat...
Aang:Fire Nation Cultural exhibits,jugglers,benders,musicians...this would be a great place for me to see some firebending!

Sokka smiles a bit before they both catch up to Aang and Katara who are on Appa grabbing the disguises
Katara:It's a good thing we bought these cloaks a while back huh?
She gives one Sokka and Y/n as she puts one on herself
Aang pulls his shirt over his head
Sokka:You're like an entirely different person...

Aang:What's wrong?

He takes out his blades

Sokka laughs a bit

Katara;I thought you were gonna hurt Aang for real...

They start to walk into the village and notice everyone is wearing masks
Katara:Looks like we'll need to find better disguises...
Sokka:Well where would we find-
"Get your genuine Fire Days Masks here!"
Sokka:You know I'd be lying if I said I was surprised...truly I would...
They all go and grab a mask and put them on
Katara,Aang,and y/n all grab and have masks with big smiles on them,Sokka however....
Y/n:Sokka mask is...sad...
Y/n takes off his own mask and gently takes off Sokka's as he switches them
Sokka:Well now your mask is sad y/n...
Y/n turns his mask upside down
Y/n:No it is...smile!
They start to walk around for a bit but y/n hears a couple of voices
"Why does he have his mask on upside down?"
"He looks stupid"
"He can barely see through the bottom of the mask"
Y/n starts to embarrassingly covers his face
He feels a tap on his shoulder and sees Katara,Aang,and Sokka with their masks upside down
Y/n smiles so bright it burns his mask a bit
Y/n:You guys are the best...
Aang:Woah look!
He runs off
Sokka:Where are we going?
Aang:I don't know but there's a crowd...
They make their way to the front so they can get the best look
The person starts to perform magic as they look in awe
"Next we'll need a volunteer..."
Sokka:Now would be the time to get out of here...
They try to leave but they bump into a guard
He points to Aang
"You seem to match the description of the Avatar,bald and seems to have a blue arrow on your head...I'm sorry for the inconvenience but could you please take off your...upside down mask sir?
Aang:Uhh...yea...?
Someone who is cloaked appears behind them
"Follow me when you see the smoke...
They all hear him and silently agree
Aang goes to take off his mask as smoke swarms the area following an explosion
They all take off their masks and start to run away,following the man from earlier

They all run into an alley,but at the end it is cut off
"Not this way!"
Y/n creates a wall of fire before running off
Aang pulls out something
Aang:I hope this bison really works!
He blows into as they reach a dead end
They turn around are cornered by many guards
Y/n gets into a fighting stance before he hears Appa roar from him
Appa comes flying down,scaring off the guards long enough for everyone to get on
Y/n lights a small flame on his finger and shoots it into a crate of fireworks
They all start to go off at once as they hear the people below cheering
Sokka:So...who are you?
The man with cloak pulls it down
"The name is Chey...
Chey:I serve a man...more than a man really, he's a myth, a living legend...Jeong Jeong the deserter! He used to be a Admiral or was it a general?
Sokka:He was a high rank, we got it!
Chey:Yea! Way up there! He was the first to leave the army and live! I was the second but you don't get to be a legend for that...but that's alright...anyway Jeong Jeong is a firebending genius!
Aang:You mean there is a fire bending master out here who isn't with the firelord? We have to go and see him!
Sokka:Look, we appreciate the help Chey but we need to head to the North Pole soon...
Aang:This could be my only chance to meet a firebending master...
Katara:It couldn't hurt to talk to him at least...
Sokka:You guys didn't listen to me about the festival and look at what happened!
Chey:If you want to see him then come with me...but be quiet...I was told not to look for you but I did...
Sokka just sighs and y/n pats his back like he always will as everyone follows Chey
After a bit they are stopped by Chey

They all go inside a hut as y/n sits in the middle of everyone warm them up
Aang:Aren't you excited y/n? You get to see a firebending master!
Y/n is quiet

Chey walks in looking less than happy

Chey:He wants you all to leave,he said you aren't ready and that you haven't mastered Earthbending and Waterbending yet...

He'll tell you what it takes to even train with fire!
Y/n:Fire is very...dangerous and...hard to control...can easily get out of hand...
Roku appears in front of Jeong Jeong and Y/n
Roku: You think I am weak?
Jeong Jeong: Avatar Roku! No, no! I did not mean that....
Roku: I have mastered the elements a thousand times in a thousand lifetimes. Now, I must do it once again. You will teach the Avatar Firebending...
Jeong Jeong: Yes, yes. I will teach you...
Aang: Really? That's great!
Jeong Jeong sighs
Aang and y/n are about to walk out
Jeong Jeong:Eternal Flame I request you to stay here temporarily...
Y/n:Umm...okay...
Aang:I'll see you at the hut y/n...
Y/n sits down in front of Jeong Jeong
Jeong Jeong:Being the Eternal Flame you must be even more careful than anyone else with fire...you are aware of this yes?
Y/n nods his head
Jeong Jeong:You are a good firebender but nowhere near strong enough to stop the Firelord...
Y/n:Y/n know...
Jeong Jeong:I want you and the Avatar in front of my tent in the morning ready to learn...
Y/n:Okay but...why tell y/n? Why not... both of us?
Jeong Jeong:Because unlike your friend you have experience with fire and because of such you can explain how dangerous it truly is and how serious it is to undertake even the mere attempt to control it...

Jeong Jeong walks out if his tent
Jeong Jeong:What can you tell me about the sun...?
Y/n:It is...giant ball of fire...
Jeong Jeong:Exactly! It is also the most powerful source of fire and heat but is in balance with nature and doesn't burn everything down...so that is what will start off today by doing and we will end the day with it as well if it takes that long...
Aang:So when am I gonna shoot fireballs from my hands?
Jeong Jeong:Silence! Follow me...
They start to go up a mountain
As they go up the mountain he starts to speak again
Jeong Jeong:Firebendimg comes from the breath and so if you can control your breathing at the top of a mountain where it is harder to do then you will have no problem doing so when back to normal altitude...now put your legs apart and bend your knees...
They both do as he asked but y/n takes it more seriously than Aang for obvious reasons
Jeong Jeong:Start by inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth...Y/n after an hour I want you to switch breathing techniques,in through your mouth then out through your nose,try different combinations after every hour...maybe try some you've been taught already...would be good to try it up here...
Y/n:Yes Jeong Jeong...
Jeong walks down the mountain
Y/n closes his eyes and starts to focus on just his breathing
Aang however isn't putting the effort he should
Aang:When is he gonna teach me to use fire?
Y/n continues to breathe
Aang:I'm done with this I need to learn firebending now!
Y/n is in his own world of concentration
He feels the sun's heat beaming on him and focuses on his breathing
Y/n opens his eyes and notices Aang is gone

He walks down the mountain slowly
Katara:Aang maybe you should take it easy with the fire, I'm sure Jeong Jeong and Y/n would agree...
Aang:Well they aren't the Avatar are they? Plus I have past lives that have done this already! It can't be that hard...

Aang:I wonder how the one person at the festival did it...
Y/n walks up to Katara with a smile on his face
Y/n:Hey friends!

He looks at a wave of fire coming at him
Y/n tries to block the fire and absorb it but decides to make sure the Katara and trees are okay first
As a result the fire hits him head on
His bandages take the most of the heat even though they get a bit burned
But there is one place where y/n doesn't have bandages
Y/n drops the ground and grabs his eyes
Y/n:Y/n cannot see...it is dark! Where are friends! Please...do not leave...y/n! He is scared! He does not know...what to do!
Katara grabs his hand
Katara:It's okay y/n I'm right here!
Y/n:Katara! Y/n can not see! He panic!
She just tries to calm him down as she holds one of his hands
Sokka runs up and sees the scene
Sokka:What did you do Aang!
Aang:It was an accident! But it's fine...he'll heal it right?
Sokka:I know he'll heal but we don't know how long it will take! Now look at what you did!
Sokka walks up to y/n and grabs his other hand that Katara isn't holding
Sokka:Come on y/n...it's okay...we're here now...
Katara:Let's get him to the water...
