All barged to Nandini's room.
Cab: ohh god !! The day was hectic (he said in a frustrating tone)
Al : guys all set for tomorrow's plan
Dh : I think we can easily trap Nyeonika by our plan
Nan : she is very clever , we have to execute our plan very carefully .
Ab : don't worry we will succeed . (All nodded with a smile )
All were chit chatting and then left to take rest , only abhi , Manik and Nandini were left in the room
Ab : I think Manik , you should go home and take some rest , you must be tired
Nan : manyu is right , since morning you are with me, you should take rest and manyu you also go , I can see , you look exhausted
Ab : it's fine barbie , it's just I work overtime (he smiled sheepishly as he knows now Nandini will scold her)
Nan : come again ( she asked raising her eyebrows )
Ab : sorry barbie , I got lost in my work and I didn't realise the time but now I'm perfectly fine as I want to spend some time with you
Nan : No , I'm not spending any time with you , this is your punishment , now go and take some rest . I'll manage by my own . You both go and take some rest .
Man : I was there all the time in the hospital and I'm not tired , I will be here and abhi you just go home and take some rest . ( Manik said and both nodded )
Ab : ohky if my barbie doesn't want to spend time with me then I'm going home (he puts his head on Nandini's lap and Nandini start caressing his head and ruffles his hair ) now I'm feeling fresh and energetic ( he said smilingly and Nandini giggles)
Nan : I know your head is paining ,now tell me what's bothering you ( Manik was shocked as she knows abhimanyu in and out and he was feeling jealous )
Ab : umm.. ( he looked towards Manik and he understood that he needs to talk with Nandini in private so unwillingly he leaves from there )
Ab : I don't know Barbie , but I'm feeling very restless and I'm feeling very guilty for not able to protect you . I'm feeling like I failed as a brother and as a friend . ( He said pouring his heart out ) . When uncle was near his death he took a promise from me, to always be there for you and protect you from this cruel world but today I'm feeling like I let him down ( he was crying very badly )
Nan : ( hugs her tightly and wipes his tear) now listen to me carefully , manyu you are the world's best brother and best friend . You don't have to feel guilty for anything , some things we can't control and one thing I think you should know that I feel blessed to have you in my life. Now tell me what's going on between you and mukti ( she tries to lighten the atmosphere and by listening mukti's name a smile appeared on abhi 's face)
Ab : w..ha..t !! No, nothing is going between us , why are you asking that ( he stammer little bit and Nandini smiles seeing his condition and then burst into laughter )
Nan : oh my god !! the great abhimanyu takkar , one of the best businessman is stammering ( she laughed loudly) by the way you still don't hide things from me and I'm happy for you . I know you like her and she is a nice girl ( she said genuinely) .
Ab : ( hugs her and kissed her on forehead) and you are the best sister anyone can have . Now I'm going , so take rest and sleep , I'm sending Manik now, goodnight (he said and get up from the bed )
Nan : good night manyu , have dreams of mukti (she winks him)
Ab : (he blushed and hold Nandini's hand )you know what barbie , first time after 4 years 6 months and 12 days I saw a glimpse of my old barbie who used to live every second of her life fully and I'm very happy to see that ( he said while her eyes become moist )
Nandini just hugs her as she was not in that state of mind to think and say something and she slowly murmurs good night to abhimanyu but this entire scene was witnessed by Manik who took everything in wrong direction and assume Nandini and Abhi together and got jealous and abhi left from there and Manik enters in not - so - good mood.
Man : I thought you guys take more time (he said sarcastically )
Nan : no , it's fine , he was very tired and he needs rest so I don't want him to be here with me that's why I said him to leave .
Man : if you don't mind can I ask you a question ??
Nan : sure you don't need to ask
Man : Is everything alright , I mean he was tensed and upset .
Nan : everything is alright , it's just it's very difficult for him to see me in hospital and he becomes more protective when it come to me .
Man : he loves you a alot right ( he said in jealousy )
Nan : yes !! a lot , (she paused and Manik was feeling low he himself don't know the reason , he was feeling like one of his part was going away from him ) I never even imagine the depth of his love . He loves me like a father loves his daughter , a brother loves his sister and even more than that .(she was saying with a constant smile on her lips )
Man : brother and sister !! ( He was confused with the answer )
Nan : yes , you know he is the most important person in my life , he is my best friend, my mentor , my brother and sometimes like my father too. He take care of me like a friend , guide me as a teacher , annoys me like a brother , love me and protect me like a father . Not only me but Navya too. (She said proudly)
Man : you guys really shares a very pure bond .( He said genuinely and mentally slapping and cursing himself to think ill about them ). I think you should take rest I'll go and take some fresh air as I'm not feeling sleepy now , you should sleep now ( a he knows she can't sleep in front of him and she will be uncomfortable and to avoid this he said these lines)
Nan : good night !! (She said and unknowingly a smile came on her face and she dozed off)
Manik came after 10 min in the room as he knows she will sleep fastly due to effect of sedatives , so he came and sleep on another bed which was in the same room .
At midnight , Manik sleep was disturbed by some sounds ,as he opened his eyes he was shocked , he saw Nandini was sweating heavily and she was writing something on a diary , he goes towards her.
Man : what are you doing Nandini ( due to sudden voice she got scared )
Nan : actually , I was not feeling sleepy , so I thought to write diary ( she lied to him avoiding eye contact and tries to hide her diary )
Manik understood that she don't want to share anything so he tried to divert her attention.
Man : actually I was also not feeling sleepy , so tell me , so write diary occasionally or regularly ??( He came and sat near her bed)
Nan : I don't write it regularly , whenever I'll feel to write I wrote it down . So you tell me about yourself (she tries to divert the topic )
Man : I have an idea , let's play 10 questions !!
Nan : nice idea , we'll get to know more about each other but let's let's make it more interesting , not only we have to give the answer of the question but also we have to justifies it ( she said and Manik nodded)
Nan: so , first question , favourite colour ??
Man : Black and Red , black symbolises darkness and sometimes life is dark and deep and I like red because it shows passion apart from sacrifice .
Nan : Grey !! my favourite colour is grey , I think life is not black and white but it's the mixture of both , grey has more than fifty shades just like our life ,the bad phase is like the darker shade of grey and the the good phase is like the brighter shade of grey . Nothing is totally good or bad in our life , there is something good is hidden in the bad phase and something bad is hidden in the good phase .
Man : now it's my turn , I saw , you was writing a diary so I'm pretty sure that you also love reading , so my question is - which is your favourite novel ??
Nan: " The Alchemist " the plot of the book always fascinates me . it tolds us about the importance of journey,"It’s about the journey more than the destination" . It tells us that often times along our journey to success and fulfillment, we realize that everything we wanted and needed was right where we started. We are often seeking something exterior to make us happy or fulfill us, but it’s unnecessary because we have everything we need inside of us. (She said smilingly)
Man : I generally prefer novels of Agatha Christie , I don't have any specific favourite novel , but like 'black coffee ' the plot is very interesting .(he said casually )
Nan : wow !! I don't even have the slightest idea about this side of yours (just nodded his head)
Nan : So my turn , According to you , what is love ?? (She asked and uneasiness was clearly visible on Manik's face , he was baffled by this sudden question )
