Lisa tilted her face up, allowing the warm sun to caress her pale skin. Her eyes fluttered, her grin widened, she was home. Looking forward, hand gripping onto her suit case, her doe eyes wandered around, scanning faces and searching for familiarity. It didn't take too long, because a few feet away from her and Jennie stood her parents smiling a smile that matched her own.

"Mom! Dad!" Lisa shouted, running maybe even stumbling through the crowded airport. She didn't care, she was finally home. Jennie was right behind her, giggling lightly but also a tad breathlessly. Lisa did have longer legs than her so it took a few moments for Jennie to catch up.

Lisa's mother laughed as the model embraced her tightly, eyes closed and lips quivering. Her father stood beside them and wrapped his arms securely around the both. The girls laughed as he practically picked them up for a second before putting them back to their feet and ruffling Lisa's hair.

"I missed you guys," Lisa whimpered out, placing a kiss on both of her parent's cheeks. Her mother smiled and then glanced over Lisa's shoulder,

"Who's this Pranpriya?" She asked, wiping her single tear away and smiling kindly. Lisa pulled away and turned around, meeting a timid and, yet, a tender smile. Jennie had her hands intertwined in front of her as she rocked back and forth from her heel to her toe, something she often did when she was nervous.

Lisa beamed, "This is Jennie, my neighbor and closest friend." Lisa walked over to Jennie's side and placed her hand on Jennie's lower back. "Jennie, these are my parents." She gently pushed Jennie forward towards her parents. Her mother took a quick glance at Lisa's direction before turning her attention towards the pretty brunette. She reached forward and held onto Jennie's hands,

"It's truly lovely to meet you, Jennie." The sight warmed Lisa's heart. It felt as if she was introducing her girlfriend to her parents for the very first time, but because of that said feeling, she was instantly reminded about reality. Maybe in another life, she supposed.

The mother then gasped, "Have you girls eaten yet?" She asked. Lisa laughed and shook her head,

"Not yet, we did just arrive mom," she stated, motioning towards their surroundings. Her dad laughed and draped his arm around his wife's shoulders,

"Well then, let's go home and cook you both a delicious dinner. You girls must be exhausted from the trip." Lisa released an uneasy breath and forced out a chuckle,

"It wasn't too bad," she said. Oh, the lies. The flight was an emotional roller coaster.

The first hour, Jennie barely spoke a word. She was burning in rage whenever flight attendant Soojin walked by or even spoke to Lisa. But then later in the flight, Lisa was able to calm the girl down by buying her a glass of wine and offering more cookies. And before she knew it, Jennie's head was on her shoulder. Asleep, Jennie held onto Lisa's arms tightly, snuggling her face closer to her arm and goodness, Lisa's heart practically fainted.

"Yeah, it wasn't too bad. I think I was asleep most of the flight anyways," Jennie said, walking along side Lisa and grinning up at her, "How's your shoulder by the way? I'm sorry for knocking out on your shoulder so suddenly during the movie. I didn't mean to. It 's just that you were wearing a soft hoodie and it looked comfy and my eyes were closing and--." Lisa laughed and shook her head,

"Its fine. Don't worry about it, Jen. I didn't mind at all," she reassured. Jennie's eyes were soft and light when she stared at Lisa. The feeling was warm and fluffy in Lisa's chest. Something she always felt with just a simple glance. Jennie's eyes were definitely distracting her from the stiff ache in her neck and shoulder. "Promise."

Jennie released a breath of relief, "Good, and if anything, I can always give you massage," she casually offered, looking forward and happily following Lisa's parents to the car. Lisa chuckled and shook her head,

"With those tiny hands?" She playfully taunted, wanting to replace the weird gut twisting feeling in her stomach. The idea of Jennie's hands roaming around her back did sound very satisfying, in a non perverse way. (ish) Jennie scoffed,

"I'll have you know, these hands are quite effective!" Lisa raised her eyebrows and felt the corner of her lip tugging upwards into a smirk.

"Quite effective you say?"

Jennie hummed proudly and faced Lisa, only to blush profusely. Lisa was grinning wickedly while wiggling her eyebrows suggestively. It had Jennie whining, smacking Lisa's arms repeatedly while the silver haired girl laughed loudly, not trying to block Jennie's weak hits.

"Not in that way you perv!!" Lisa laughed and grabbed onto her hand, swinging their hands together back and forth as they stood beside the car.

"I'm kidding Jen, I'm sure these tiny fists of yours can kill a bull."

"Thousands of them!" Jennie said with narrowed eyes and amusing grin. Lisa giggled and nodded, squeezing Jennie's hands,

"Absolutely." The two were busy playfully bickering that they had yet to notice a curious pair of eyes watching them intently from behind.

"Jennie?" Lisa's mother called out from behind them, causing Lisa to quickly unlatch her hand from Jennie's. She almost frowned at the sudden lost, but the smirk on her mother's face distracted her. "May I ask a question?" Jennie nodded and smiled politely,

"Of course!"

"Are you currently single?" Her father laughed as Jennie's cheeks turned red instantly. Lisa gasped dramatically,

"Mom!"

"What? I just wanted to know. No harm in asking. I just think you both look cute together and—."

"Mom!!"

Lisa was beyond mortified. Apparently the guest bedroom was occupied so the only available room for Jennie was in Lisa's. Her palms were beginning to sweat and her heart was racing so loudly that she could hear it drumming in her ears. She swallowed nervously, watching Jennie humming while unpacking her things from her suit case.

"I can sleep on the floor if you're uncomfortable," Lisa offered, eyes looking away and staring at her stuffed animals on her bed. Not only were they sharing bedrooms, but they were going to sleep on Lisa's old childhood blanket that was quite pink and filled with kittens. Her parents never changed it.

Jennie giggled, "Nope, you're going to sleep beside me on the bed. I would hate for you to be uncomfortable in your own house. And, knowing you, you would forbid me from sleeping on the floor if I ever offered, am I right?" Lisa slowly met Jennie's eyes and chuckled softly herself. She nodded,

"You got me there," She walked away from her door and sat on the edge of the bed with a thoughtful smile, "I just can't believe they never bought new sheets for this bed." Her hands ran idly against the soft fabric. She was being hit by nostalgia with every passing second.

"I'm glad they didn't. It's absolutely adorable. Plus, I get to see what you use to like as a child. For starters," Jennie paused, standing up from the floor and walking towards the bed to grab a stuffed animal, "You had a weird cat addiction," she teased. Lisa rolled her eyes and groaned, leaning back and laying down onto her bed,

"You're so going to torment me this week." Lisa tilted her head and watched Jennie giggling while making her way beside her. She slowly laid down beside Lisa, presenting a smile that looked way too charming. Lisa was always drawn to her smile and she wondered if Jennie knew because whenever Lisa was around, all she did was smile. Did she do it torture the model? Because, it sure was working.

"Well, I think it's cute. Your parents are cute, your rooms cute—."

Lisa smiled, "Am I cute?" Another laugh left Jennies lips and Lisa swore she heard the angels singing from that sound. Jennie scooted closer and playfully poked Lisa's nose, giggling with how Lisa scrunched her nose up with a grin.

"The absolute cutest." It was beginning to be absolutely impossible to not smile around Jennie. Lisa shifted her body to face Jennie, propping her head up on her hand, bending her elbow against the blanket underneath. Jennie remained on her back, simply gazing up at Lisa with a soft smile. A pretty smile. And Lisa couldn't help but lift her hand up to place a strand of Jennie's hair behind her ear,

"Thank you for coming with me," Lisa whispered softly in the space between them, caressing her fingers tenderly through Jennie's hair, occasionally rubbing her thumb on the shell of her ear. "It really means a lot." Jennie laughed a breathless laugh, eyes solely focused in Lisa's eyes. Studying them closely and Lisa wondered if she could read them clearly.

"And, to think, we've only known each other for almost eight months and you've already became someone so important to me." Jennie whispered, shivering as Lisa's thumb slowly glided across her cheek bones.

"And, it all started with a weird, bubbly girl giving me cookies," Lisa teased, eliciting another beautiful laugh from Jennie. But then, a small frown etched it's way to Lisa's lips. It silenced Jennie's laugh. The brunette furrowed her eyebrows. Her eyes followed Lisa's hands as it moved away from her face and stayed still in the space between them.

"What's wrong?" Jennie asked quietly, as if too afraid to speak any louder. Lisa shrugged, eyes staring straight into brown eyes she could never read,

"I guess you could say I'm scared, I've never been so attached to anyone this quickly before and I just.." Lisa blew out a puff of air, ready to scoot away but then Jennie's hands were holding tightly onto her hand that was between them. Jennie sat up, legs crossed in front of her. She was smiling softly, holding Lisa's hands tightly against her own,

"I'm just as scared as you are, for many reasons. Many different reasons I suppose," Jennie mumbled the last sentence to herself so quietly that Lisa almost missed it, but she didn't. She would've asked but Jennie's hands were trembling and her eyes looked so scared that she knew better than to ask. She would have to ask another time.

"But Lis, I'm just as attached to you. So, I hate to break it to you neighbor but you're stuck with me whether you like it or not. And, lets not only be scared together but lets stay together to fight through that fear. But, if you ever get tired of me, please say it to my face instead of suddenly disappearing from my life because I will transform into Nancy Drew and search for you."

It was Lisa's turn to laugh, "You're ridiculous," she said, sitting up as well. She scooted closer and pinched Jennie's cheek,

"But, I do want to apologize in advance because I know my parents will be teasing us the whole dinner." She tapped Jennie's leg and stood up, "I don't know what you did, but now my mother is quite determined for us to be together. Funny right?" She forced out a chuckle. Of course it wasn't funny because that's all Lisa wanted.

"Right," Jennie's voice sounded different. And, when Lisa turned around, her feline brown eyes looked different as well. It looked lost and oh so confused, "Funny."

Right.
