"What took you so long?"

"Sorry for taking whole eleven minutes to come here." She couldn't help but roll her eyes. "It must've been pretty tiring for you."

"I don't like waiting for people." Twist spoke, his posture straightened up with arrogance while he gazed at nothing in particular, standing at the edge of the roof top.

"Well too bad!" She rushed past him, reuslting in shoving him a little backwards. "Cause I don't care." She gave a ghostly smile and stood beside him.

"Geez you haven't changed a bit have you? And here I thought thing would be different when I come back."

"You were only gone for what, two weeks?" She reminded. "I don't think alot changes in that amount of time."

"Whatever." He clicked his tongue.

A few minutes of silence passed as they both stood staring at the view.

Side glancing her, he noticed the very small smile etched on her lips as she evenly breathed.

She seemed.. relaxed.

It was thier famous spot to meet and hangout when they had time. Sometimes she would come here alone to clear off her mind, other few times the blond would accompany her.

"Oh yeah I got you something." Catching her attention, she glanced at him while he stuffed his hand in his pocket.

"Well damn that's rare. What's the occasion?" She grinned, eyeing at tiny hand sized box he held.

"Catch." He tossed it to her, which she easily caught and started unwrapping.

"Heard the cavren was famous for malls and stuff. So I thought I'd bring you something." He shrugged.

"I haven't seen you wear any accessories atall. So I don't really know what you like, I just got what caught my eye." Rubbing the nape of his neck, he lightly coughed avoiding her gaze.

Lena's wide eyes and parted lips gazed at the thin chain in her hands, that gleamed humbly under the cavren's evening modest light.

"Its.. its so pretty." She beamed him an amazed smile, holding the bracelet in her hands.

Seeing the large smile on her face he could do nothing but stare in awe.

She didn't smiled much according to his observation. Even if she did, it never lasted long or reached her ears.

Her smile seemed genuine and pleasent. Like a small girl being gifted with a surprise birthday party.

Seeing his current expressions she let out a laugh."Thanks Twist, I mean it. I really like it."

She wasted no time in wearing the charm bracelet in her hand, lifting it above her head to observe its features more clearly.

It was a mettalic silver chain and fit perfectly on her wrist. A few jewels engraved on it shimmered while reflecting the light. It was a decent yet an elegant piece of jewellery.

"Yeah whatever, don't mention it." His eyes diverted away from her while she admired the charm bracelet in her hand.

"I don't usually wear these type of things," She stalked towards him, moving her bracelet hand infront of his eyes. "But how could I not since you brought me this one." A light grin grazed her lips, her eyes sparling with gleam.

Quickly leaning back he adverted his gaze from her, feeling the heat creeping up his neck.

"I get it now can you please move away? I'm at the edge of the roof and if I fell, I'm putting the medical charge on you and your problems with personal space."

"You're such a mood wrecker." Her lips formed a fake pout, the action making his lips twitch up in amusement.
She strolled at the roof's border line before sitting there with her legs dangling down the building.

He hummed a quite chuckle, shaking his haed at her. He strodded towards her direction, sitting down beside her after a while and gazed at the front.

"So..you were thinking about me the whole time since you got me this present huh?" She leaned close to him with a small smirk visible on her face.

"What? Ofcousre not you dimwit!" He made a face of grimace at her words while she leaned back and chortled out loud.

"You're so annoying."

"Like you're any better." She bumped her shoulder with his, letting the conversation drop down from there.

A moment of silence passed between them. And Twist's eyes, acting as a magnet found their way to her figure again.

She kept staring at bracelet that comfortablly hugged her wrist.

"Could you stop looking at it, its not even that nice." He stated bluntly, keeping his voice and expressions void.

"Its not that," She mumbled, merely to herself.
"I just don't remember the last time I received a genuine gift." Her expressions were almost blank as she kept her sight at the mettalic chain.

That was enough to seal him up and end the topic there.

He had lived most of his life without his parents, though, he didn't feel their absence all the time.
Even if he did, he kept it to himself and tried to put it behind him, since he has done a great job surviving on his own so far.

The case was a bit different with her though, he knew it. Rejected family, well everyone could see that. Controlling father, as if anyone would expect more from Blakk. And then there was her, right in the middle. Only one keeping the family name intact.

Must be difficult for her. No, it was difficult for her. Twist knew that in many certain ways. And still, the way she'd carried herself by this far, was the main thing he admired about her.

Feeling a sudden weight on his side, his eyes directed at the dark haired girl who had softly placed her head on his shoulder. Her fingers curling around his forearm while she let out a content sigh.

"Twist?"

"Yeah?"

He breathed, not making any move to shift his position, allowing her to lay her weight on his side with ease.

"Do you really think ghouls are the better future of Slugterra.. as Dr Blakk has stated?"

She felt his posture getting rigid. "Lena, we've talked about this-"

"I know I know." she stammered. "And yet I still feel like crap whenever I see a slug being ghouled infront of me. God I hate this feeling, I shouldn't care.. I really shouldn't."

A few seconds of silence followed, before the blond utters.

"Why would you feel that way?"

"If I knew you really think I'd be making this a problem?" She snapped. "It's honestly so hard to embrace the normal when the rest of the world doesn't agree with it."

"Screw them, screw the whole Slugterra then." He shrugged. "They don't know what what they're rejecting. Once they realise just how capable these invincible slugs will make Slugterra, they'll be right at your feet."

He posed a smirk at her before continuing. "After all you Blakks are the founder of this better future. Just imagine all the power you'll have."

His words colored a certain memory in her mind. Power. Something Dr Blakk would imply alot.

Something she couldn't take to her proper understanding.

The beeping of Twist's wrist discourser caught her attention. Glancing at the blond who was already looking at the message it currently showed.

His eyebrows furrowed while he quickly stood up.

"What's wrong?"

"The Shane Gang." Hearing those words she let out a frustrated sigh.

The one thing both Blakks had in common, dislike towards them to a degree of great extent.

"Ofcousre its them." Muttering to herself she ran down towards the first floor with the blond by her side.

"What happened this time?"

"They somehow managed to get away with the ghouls cargo that arrived today."

"W-What?..How!"

She was scared to hear those words but ofcourse, her life just loved making things eventually happen that she was afraid of.

"They said that someone slipped through the building unnoticed, maybe wearing a get-up. And then alerted the others upon reached the warehouse."

Now that gave her the benefit to her doubts and all she wanted to do was to strangle those people to death, mostly the Shane.

"Ugh that bloody bastard in that uniform, I knew he looked familiar. It was him!"

"Who are you talking about?" He side glanced her, his voice being breathless while running.

"That good for nothing Shane." She seethed.

"Wait you saw him? Why didn't you try to stop him?"

"He was wearing a damn disguise you one braincelled being."

"Well I'm sorry I wasn't there to precisely know that!"

"Ugh just keep quiet," she quickly glanced around, trying to remember the outlet area. "They would've left the building by the time we'd reach them. We need to take a vehicle to catch up."

He halted her to a stop, shaking his head sideways. "Its no use. Knowing them, they'll get away with this. And I bet some of the guards are already off chasing them."

"We can't just sit here and do nothing then."

"Don't worry," he placed a hand on her shoulder. "I'll try to catch up to them. You stay here and check if the other appliances in the warehouse are still there."

"But-" Before she could utter, he jogged away leaving her with her arms crossed and her burning gaze on him.
