(Requested by @celestialqueen13 (my internet's so slow it wouldn't let me tag awjhsekjhfkejhfl but I tagged you on Tumblr): Hi 😊 I was wondering if you could write one for Maglor. Maybe one where the reader is like new at court (what ever the elvish court is like 😂 idk) and she befriends him as a result defending his brother's honour or something cuz some (jealous 😉) Ellons speak ill about their family. But she remains impartial and tells them off for spreading rumours. Kind of like a sweet girl with integrity. But as a result they spread bad rumours about her instead and Maglor feels the need to clear her name. (2) I couldn't get it all on!!! But yeah, just kind of sweet interaction... almost like blossoming of a new relationship. Also the rumours of her being an arrogant rude etc. Maybe over a family dinner someone mentions them and another addresses the bad news associated with her, but Maglor's having none of it and ends up scolding them for believing in such lies with out knowing and storms off.
Author's Notes: before we start off, I had asked if I could remove the elvish court stuff because I don't have any idea what happens in courts and stuff jwkfkakxks
Ahhhhhh if they're out of character I apologize 😭😭😭😭 and the names! Please I cannot remember their names send help. Also I'm still unfamiliar with the Silmarillion and its characters but I still hope you like this!

"I say he'd be of no use. He lost his hand, how will he fight?"
"How will he lead those who are loyal to Fëanor?"
"There is no need to worry. Lord Fingolfin is more capable of doing so."
"He is weak. And so are his brothers and those who follow the House of Fëanor."
"And who are you to be so sure of that?"
The ellyn who had been talking in hushed voices in a corner looked up to see an elleth glaring at them. The room was loud and filled with people talking merrily but she had been close enough to hear their conversation. It didn't bode well with her that they were badmouthing Lord Maedhros.
"Have you not seen him? He lost his hand!" one of them exclaimed, sneering at you.
"I heard he begged Lord Fingon to kill him when he was being rescued." Another ellon made a reenactment of what he thought Maedhros said and this caused his friends to roar with laughter.
You were one to keep your temper in check but they were being very disrespectful. Fuming, you grabbed your glass and threw water at their faces. Your actions made them yelp and this caused everyone to turn their heads towards your direction. But even with all the attention, you stood with your chin up and kept glaring at them.
"I doubt you would have survived if you were the one hung up by your wrist," you said, regulating your voice so only the ellyn you are having a quarrel with could hear. "Do not underestimate the sons of Fëanor, nor any of the descendants of Lord Finwë. Watch your tongue."
One of them stood up and grabbed you by the collar. "Why do you have love for them? Have you forgotten how they left us to suffer? Have you forgotten what the House of Fingolfin went through?"
"I have not," you answered. You removed his hold and stepped away from him. "But it is unjust to blame the entirety of Fëanor's House because of Fëanor's actions. They are still our kin, and in this unfamiliar place, we must be united."
Having said what you wanted to say, you left the room with tensed shoulders and jaws. You then proceeded to walk towards the forest to hide from curious gazes. No doubt many will start to whisper about your actions and those ellyn you had a fight with will start rumors about you.
That was fine. You were used to being the odd one out. You were used to being alone. And you got more used to it when you lost your parents and other loved ones while you made your way through Helcaraxë.
You plopped yourself onto the ground and leaned against a tree trunk. Closing your eyes, you took a deep breath and tried to calm yourself. But that was short-lived when you heard footsteps come closer. You opened your eyes and turned to see a familiar ellon standing a few feet away from you.
He was familiar, not because you knew him personally, but everyone knew him as a son of Fëanor.
Quickly you stood up and attempted to bow your head but he shook his head and smiled.
"There is no need to be so formal," Maglor said. "I only came to thank you."
"Thank me?" you repeated, your shoulders relaxing. "What for, my lord?" This was the first time you had ever talked with him, and you didn't know what would cause a prince to come and express their gratitude.
He rubbed the back of his neck, his gaze on a nearby tree. "I was there, and I was near to hear you defend my brother." Shyly he looked back at you and you tried to hide the smile that made its way to your lips. "Thank you."
"There is no need to thank me. I just did what I deemed is right," you said.
"Even so," said Maglor. "It is not easy to stand up for us, after all that our House has done."
To this you could only nod, for your heart was still aching from the loss of your people because of Feänor's actions. He seemed to understand because he made an effort to change the subject.
"May I know your name?" he asked, and you could no longer hold back a smile as you watched him avert his gaze.
"(Y/N). My name is (Y/N), my lord."

Maglor sat down on his chair. He and his siblings were around the table to eat dinner. Seated at the head of the table was Maedhros and across where Maglor sat was Caranthir. Beside him was Curufin who faced Celegorm. The twins Amrod and Amras were at the far end facing each other.
The dinner was filled with conversations but Maglor wasn't paying attention. His mind was somewhere else—on the memories of when he spent time with you.
After that little incident, Maglor became more aware of your presence. Whenever he crossed paths with you, he tried his best to start a conversation. The topic didn't matter, as long as Maglor could stay longer with you and hear you talk. The more he did this, the more he looked forward to seeing you. There was just something so fascinating about seeing the way your eyes would light up when the topic was about something you loved, or how you would give him the loveliest of smiles.
Their journey to this unfamiliar place had been filled with unpleasant things, but you somehow made everything better.
A small smile appeared on his lips as he continued to eat.
And this smile did not go unnoticed by Maedhros.
Dinner was going well, that was until Curufin mentioned your name. Maglor was then snapped out of his thoughts and he tensed, looking intently at his brother who was also gazing at him with narrowed eyes.
"Rumor has spread that this elleth named (Y/N) is quite arrogant and rude," Curufin said.
Celegorm nodded at this. "The people say that she had an argument with some ellyn."
"I do not think it wise to be seen with her anymore, Maglor," Caranthir said. "People are already talking about us behind our backs."
Maglor was known for being soft-spoken, for being more reasonable than the rest of them. But all their words made his blood boil. He stood up and slammed his hands onto the table. Everyone fell silent and looked at him with wide eyes.
"(Y/N) is not rude, nor arrogant, nor any of these things that you have heard," Maglor said. "Those ellyn that she had an argument with were belittling Maedhros and she stood up for him, for us. And it is my decision who I shall have company with. It is not you nor anyone else's decision." He then turned to Maedhros. "If I may be excused."
Maedhros nodded and Maglor stormed out of the tent to make his way back to his own. As the second oldest left, the rest of them looked at Maedhros.
"He is speaking the truth," said Maedhros. "I have talked to those who were with Maglor when the commotion happened."
Curufin bowed his head and muttered, "I apologize. I was only worried."
"I know your intentions are good," Maedhros said. "But do not apologize to me. Apologize to Maglor and (Y/N)."
While they resumed dinner, Maglor was walking briskly back to his tent. His head was full of thoughts that he wasn't paying attention to where he was going. He was about to turn around the corner when he bumped into someone.
"I apologize," he muttered, and was about to be on his way when the person called out to him.
"Maglor?"
He stopped in his tracks, looked back, and realized that it was you that he bumped into. His shoulders relaxed and the frown on his face disappeared. Maglor did not know why you had such an effect on him, but it was something he liked and did not want to go away.
"(Y/N)," he said. "I apologize, I should have been more careful."
You stepped closer to him with your eyebrows knitted together. "You look upset," you said. "What is bothering you?"
"It is nothing." Maglor shook his head and offered you a smile.
But you were unconvinced and moved even closer to him. Albeit more relaxed than he was when you saw him, you could still see some tension on his shoulders. You placed a gentle hand on his arm. Maglor held his breath.
"Are you sure?" you asked.
"I am fine now," he answered. He closed the distance between you and brought a hand up to cup your cheek. It was your turn to hold your breath.
Maglor smiled and pressed a kiss on your forehead.
"I am fine now, do not worry. I find it difficult to stay upset when you are near."
