i woke up to an arm in my hoodie slowly rubbing my stomach. billie hummed her song 'come out and play' as her head rested on the pillow next to me.
madison: bil
billie: goodmorning mamas
madison: i thought you weren't coming back last night
billie: i wasn't. i came back this morning and took you to bed.
our eyes meet and she looks tired as fuck.
madison: how long has it been since you got here?
billie: about an hour
madison: have you gone to sleep?
billie: no but i'll be okay.
madison: we can sleep right now.
i bring my hand up to her head and scratch her sculp and she moans
billie: right there baby
i take my hand away and she looks at me with her eyebrows furrowed
billie: why'd you stop
madison: never again.
she just laughs at me.
billie: come on let's get up
i nod and watch as she gets out of bed, throwing on her shirt that she put on the floor. i get out of bed and look at her with a smile. she walks over to me and turns me around so we're both facing the mirror.
billie: i'm taking you out today
madison: cute
billie: i'm not letting you wear a hoodie and a...
she brings her hands to the sides of my hoodie and slowly pulls it up to my belly
billie: thong.
she raises her eyebrow then smirks so i pull my hoodie down and turn around then push her
madison: you're so gross
billie: oh come on maddie it's not like your a big virgin or something
she looks at me and her eyes widen.
billie: you're a fucking virgin aren't you
madison: are you serious right now
billie: madison fucking gonzalez. you damn virgin
madison: i'm not a virgin
billie: really? prove it
i roll my eyes and walk out of my room as she follows behind me
billie: i have a funny story y'all
everyone, and i mean everyone stops what they're doing and looks at both of us.
billie: madison
madison: you better not i swear to god
billie: if you weren't you wouldn't have a problem with it
madison: i have a problem with it because i'm not!
billie: maddie's a virgin
madison: and you're fucking annoying
i turn around and push past her then go back upstairs
billie: take a joke!
madison: fuck you!
billie: ouch
i hear her say that faintly. i didn't mean it, it's just that alot of people had a thing for calling me a virgin when they knew i wasn't. for example, the twins. they made fun of me for the longest time and only this year did they stop. i don't find it saddening just pure annoying.
claudia
billie: i got a funny story y'all
i draw my eyes away from finneas and look at billie and madison at the stairs.
billie: madison-
madison: -you better not i swear to god-
billie: -if you weren't you wouldn't have a problem with it
madison: i have a problem with it cause i'm not!
billie: maddie's a virgin
she starts laughing and maddie turns and looks at her
madison: and you're fucking annoying
she shoves billie out the way and runs upstairs
billie: take a joke b!
madison: fuck you!
she slams a door shut and billie's face completely drops. she walks all the way downstairs and sits down next to me.
billie: i'm not the only one that heard that
claudia: what? the 'fuck you' or the door slam?
she looks at finneas as danielle gets comfortable in her spot on the couch opposite from us, isaac jumping over it then sitting down, as elijah places a plate of pancakes on the coffee table.
elijah: she's never come off like that before.
isaac: not to us atleast
billie: what do you mean
elijah: so a few months from when we first met madison joked about being a virgin so it became an inside joke and we started to bring it up.
isaac: all the time. it looked like she was getting really annoyed with us so we took it to lengths and continued making fun of her until she couldn't put up with it anymore.
elijah: we stopped this year because we thought she would like drop us as friends or something so it hasn't been bought up since january
isaac: until today.
billie: so she's not a virgin
isaac: no
billie: then why is she all mushy and defensive about it then
elijah: should we tell her?
he looks at isaac and isaac looks at danielle, dani looking at me then finneas. i have no idea what is going on.
isaac: she's not used to it
billie: what the fuck do you mean. make it make sense
isaac: okay. so she used to like hook up with people at parties and stuff. they were all one night stands so she's never really stuck to one person before, other than danielle.
i look at dani
danielle: girl it ain't me, but that's a story for another time.
billie: so she's never had something serious?
elijah: if you don't count 9 month's with danielle
billie: damn.
billie gets up from her spot on the couch and reaches for her phone in her pocket. she puts it to her ear and finneas rests his face in his palms when the other person picks up and billie speaks.
billie: yo q wassup.. yeah.. you free?
i stand up at what she says and finn grabs my hand, sitting me back down
finneas: just let it happen. there's no point anymore
we all know what's going on. not one of us is confused or anything. a little while later billie slips her phone back into her pocket and looks at us.
claudia: billie you can't do this
billie: it's already done
claudia: are you fucking serious right now? think about madison and the way she's gonna feel. what if she didn't mean it.
i was starting to get mad. i never got mad at billie, and especially billie. isaac jumps gets off the couch and runs upstairs, calling for madison
claudia: you don't love him. you're just using him!
finn takes my hand in his, attempting to calm me down
billie: if madison can hook up with other people then so can i
elijah: woah woah woah that's a whole different story. that's the past. we shouldn't have bought it up if you were gonna go out on your way and do this
claudia: so what? you're gonna go be some little slut while the girl you kissed YESTERDAY is fucking in her room most likely crying or some shit? go ahead.
billie: claudia?
i look at her
billie: fuck you
she walks out of the house. and that was it. that's the end.
isaac: CLAUDIA!! WE NEED YOU
i furrow my eyebrows and leave finn, eli and dani in the livingroom. i walk into maddie's room and she immediately lunges for me. at first i flinch but then let it happen, pulling her into a tight hug.
isaac: i told her everything. i'm sorry, i couldn't just sit there and keep it in.
isaac bites his bottom lip and i nod
claudia: it's better that way.
madison: we heard everything
claudia: everything?
madison: yes literally. i was gonna come downstairs and scream pop off claudia but i didn't wanna look like a bitch towards billie
claudia: there's a reason to look like a bitch towards billie now..
madison: i know.
isaac: i'm suprised you weren't crying when i walked in
claudia: i'm surprised you're not crying right now
madison: honestly i'm surprised too.
isaac: let's go downstairs and watch a movie or something.
we all go downstairs and finn is nowhere to be seen.
claudia: where-
danielle: he went after his sister apparently
claudia: that was my ride home.
elijah: i'll take y'all home tonight or whenever you guys are ready
claudia: thanks
madison: i'm gonna stay the night.. only because i can
isaac: okay
madison
we all grab blankets and pillows then run into the movie room. it's around 1pm and we're doing this, that proves we don't have lives. claudia and i sit together on one chair, all of us sitting in the middle row of seats.
madison: let's watch a horror
elijah: are you sure?
madison: yup
we decide to watch the shining because it's not that scary and no one else has seen it.

madison: DON'T JUST FUCKIN SIT THERE BITCH RUN
danielle: FUCKING RUN YOU STUPID BITCH
me and danielle both scream at the tv, as if they can here us. we're both clapping while jumping in our seats like psycho's.
claudia: oh my god
isaac: she's gonna die
madison: this dumb bitch is gonna die
we all shut up and continue watching the movie. my phone starts ringing and i look down at it. billie. claudia leans into me, letting herself see the id number
claudia: what are you gonna do?
i mute my phone then turn it off and look at her. she rubs my shoulder and smiles then goes back to watching the movie. after a while, my phone starts to vibrate again and again and again. it comes to a stop and i spot eli in the corner of my eye look at the back row of seats. he rests his head on my shoulder and speaks loud enough so i can hear him
elijah: billie's here
madison: then who was calling me?
we look at eachother and i turn my phone on. 3 missed calls from billie 1 message from claudia an- claudia? we both look at claudia and she leans into me
claudia: what's up?
i show her my phone and she looks at it confused. she reaches inside her pockets and pulls out nothing
claudia: maybe finn has my phone
i open her message and find it's been sent by finn, referring his name in the message. when the movie ends its around 3 something pm, going onto 4.
madison: i'm bored. what do y'all wanna do
isaac: i know there's not much of us but i know we all drink
claudia: who would be taking care of us?
madison: clauds it's time to let loose.
danielle: i'll go get us some drinks
madison: we'll drink upstairs in the livingroom.
we get up and danielle runs upstairs. we start to fold the blankets and pile them onto isaac's arms, handing eli the pillows
madison: thanks
i grab claudia's hand and we run past billie upstairs and into the livingroom. we drop on the couch together and find that dani has already opened her first beer bottle
claudia: you can't start without us!
madison: and we can't start without the boys
a few seconds later the twins walk in and we all start drinking, laughing and talking. only a few hours later we were off the hook. isaac decided he wouldn't get drunk just in case something happens and although eli was drinking, he wasn't drinking much. i was on my 6th bottle and me and claudia were making the dumbest jokes and we all were still laughing at them.
madison: where is bil?
isaac shrugs. or is that elijah?
elijah: woah it's 10 already
isaac: let's call it a night. y'all gonna have the fattest headaches tomorrow.
isaac lifts dani up and takes her upstairs, elijah taking clauida to the bedroom downstairs. i was just sat there, alone on the couch. eli walks in
elijah: come on maddie let's get you to bed
billie: i got her
i look at billie and then eli.
madison: don't make me choose, just carry me
billie picks me up and carries me to my room, laying me down on the bed.
billie: is this what you do when i'm not here
madison: is baby bil sad?
billie: i'm not sad shut up
she sits next to me in the bed and all of a sudden i feel a wave of enthusiasm come through me. i straddle her waist
billie: maddie what-
madison: i want you
billie: what
madison: i want you baby
i start to kiss her neck and she holds me back
billie: maddie you're drunk and you'll regret this in the morning
madison: but-
billie: no maddie.
madison: you're boring
billie: trust me maddie i really want to
madison: then let's go
billie: not when you're drunk babygirl.
madison: but when i'm not drunk you still don't want to
billie: because you don't either. now go to sleep
i lay down and she lays next to me, her hand rubbing my stomach.
madison: bil
billie: maddie
madison: sing to me. please.
she starts to sing come out and play and i fall asleep almost immediately.
