Namjoon reaches his apartment and was trying to catch his breath as he was excited to finally let his feelings out, as soon as he enters the apartment he sees his kookie sitting on the living room couch wrapped in his blanket, gaze fixed on the tv which was playing toy story. Only his coconut head was peeking out of his cocoon.
Namjoon smiles at that and without making any noise goes and sits next to him which distracts kookie from his movie
"Hyung" he says a bit startled but relaxes as he sees his joonie hyung looking at him with such a soft expression
"why are you out of bed kookie?" he asks as he checks his temperature using the back side of his palm.
"I was bored and alone hyung" he says with a slight pout
"aww my baby got lonely" Namjoon says while bopping jungkook's nose with his own
That action takes the younger by surprise, Namjoon has never done anything like this unless Jungkook initiates it, so the younger was confused and the same was being reflected on his face which makes Namjoon laugh.
"what happened baby?" he decides to tease the younger some more before he could tell him his feelings
"hyung!!" now kookie was blushing and looks away
Namjoon hooks his index finger under his chin and makes Jungkook look at him
"kookie hyung is going to tell you something very important, I dont know if this time or place is right or wrong but the only thing I know is that I don't want to wait anymore, so listen carefully because I wont repeat it.
The tone in which Namjoon was saying everything makes Jungkook gulp but his stomach was erupting butterflies in hopes that he was finally going to hear something that he was longing for since he met the elder.
But before Namjoon could utter a single word their doorbell rings and Namjoon gives a frustrated sigh while Jungkook looks down in disappointment.
Halfheartedly Namjoon opens the door only to smile wide in happiness when he sees his grandpa standing there
"grandpa" saying that he hugs his grandpa real tight. His grandpa was his everything, when everyone doubted him, it was his grandpa who believed in him and it was his grandpa because of whom he met his kookie.
The elder laughs at his childish behavior but still hugs him while smiling wide
"how has my favourite grandson been?" the elder asks with his powerful and deep voice which goes all soft for his grandson
"amazing grandpa, why are you standing here, come in" saying that he drags him into the living room and that's when kookie sees his favourite person on the planet and jumps out of his cocoon to hug the old kim but stops midway which makes the elder kim frown
"what happened kook-ah, don't you love your dada anymore?" elder asks making a sad face
"no dada, I just don't want you to get sick, I have a fever" he says while looking down pouting.
Grandpa kim laughs and pulls the younger into a tight hug,"I don't think anything is going to happen to me, so don't make your grandpa deprived of your hugs"
Kookies eyes start watering as he was finally finding comfort after a long, before he used to find this comfort in Namjoon's arms but he was trying to stay away from the elder which made him more anxious.
"don't cry kook-ah, dada is here, he will make everything alright" says the elder in his ears as if he knew what was happening
Kookie did not leave his dada after that, but his grumbling stomach made him pout and leave his dada as the elder decided that he will be making dinner since his grandson was useless in the kitchen.
Namjoon and Jungkook wait at the dining table waiting for the delicious dinner, Namjoon was looking at Kookie while Kookie was avoiding the elder's gaze as a beautiful blush was coloring his cheeks.
Once they were half way through the dinner grandpa kim asks "so joon, I heard from namhee that you have started to meet some of your suitors"
Hearing that jungkook's spoon halts in mid air and he gulps as sudden sadness hits his chest which didn't go unnoticed by both the kims on the table
"yes grandpa" Namjoon says looking at kookie who resumes eating
"so any progress?" grandpa kim asks again
"I don't think I will be meeting anyone anymore grandpa, I have my eyes on someone" Namjoon says stealing a gaze at kookie.
"I see" says granpa kim with a slight smile and then continuous to eat
Here jungkook's heart falls into his stomach and he chides himself for even fathoming that his handsome hyung will ever love him the way he loves him. He has found his Ms Right
"dada, please excuse me....i'll go lie down now" Jungkook says while standing up but Namjoon holds onto his hand
"kookie, you didn't even drink half of your soup, sit and eat baby" hearing the elder call him baby in front of the elder kim makes kookie shocked and he looks at Namjoon in disbelief and that's when Namjoon realizes what he has done while the elder kim just continuous to eat his soup.
Kookie leaves from there while Namjoon eats with elder kim in complete silence.
Once they were done, both were sitting in the living room sipping some hot green tea.
"so, this someone knows how you feel about him?" elder kim asks
"no grandpa I have not told......wait! How do you know that it's a him" Namjoon asks confused
"hmmm, so you haven't told kook-ah anything, just exactly what I expected from my grandson" elder says with a long tired sigh
Namjoon stands up and looks at his grandpa in shock "h-how?"
"what? How do I know that its your kookie" the elder smiles as if his grandson was asking something stupid
"I knew it since you were ten joon and why do you think your mom is not bringing in anymore of the new matches?"
Namjoon could not believe his ears, was it really true that his grandpa knew everything all along, even before he came to realization
"a-are you ok with it grandpa" Namjoon asks as for him only his grandpa's opinion mattered the most in the whole world
"ok? your kookie wouldn't have been here with you if I was not ok with it joon, why do you think he was allowed to move in with you if I wasn't sure that you will keep him happy, but what I have heard from jack, I don't think you are doing some things properly and I don't understand why?" grandpa kim asks
"I'll make it right grandpa, I promise" Namjoon says now kneeling in front of his grandpa and holding onto his hand
"I know but I don't want you to be too late, ok?" grandpa kim says
"yes grandpa, thank you grandpa" Namjoon smiles bright and kisses his grandpa's hands before going into his room only to find his kookie curled up in his cocoon. He smiles and slides next to him to which kookie turns and curls into him and sighs in content when namjoon's body heat engulfs him.

It was a Monday morning which means it was the day for Taehyung to go to his university and get enrolled and Taehyung was not able to contain his excitement as he was up early, even before the elder and when he looks at his hyung sleeping, he could swear that even the sun would be jealous of his husband. Hoseok was shining, he had this shine within him which always reflects from his face, even when he was sleeping.
Taehyung wonders again, why was he chosen for such a perfect man, he was nowhere near perfection while everything about hoseok screamed perfection.
Taehyung runs into the washroom when he sees that the elder's alarm was blazing which means the elder will wake up and he don't wanted to look like some creep staring at his sleeping husband.
Once both of them had their breakfast Taehyung was jumping on his feet to just step out of the house, but suddenly they stop when they hear the doorbell which turned out to be the mail man.
"jung Taehyung has a registered document" the mail man says and Taehyung signs the document and looks at it, it was an official document, he looks up at hoseok confused for which elder forwards his hands and Taehyung gives the letter to the elder, once the elder opens the letter and reads through it he asks Taehyung
"Taehyung, did you submit an application for changing your family name?"
"no hyung, I did not do it" Taehyung says confusion written all over his face
"this is an approval letter for you family name change from Kim to Jung" the elder says reading the letter again clearly
"oh....it must be mother" Taehyung says in a sad tone, all his excitement about going to the university lost.
"did she not ask you about it?" hoseok could see how sad the younger looked , even though he loved the sound of Jung Taehyung, he never wanted it to happen without the younger's wish
"oh she did I think hyung, I just forgot about it" Taehyung says giving a strained smile "lets go hyung we are getting late"
Eventhough hoseok was not convinced, he don't wanted to keep the younger waiting anymore
"did you take all your documents tae?" Hoseok asks before closing the door
"Yes hyung" he shows a folder in his hand with his huge boxy smile, he lets the younger steps out of the house and keeps the letter on the keys table and decides to talk to Mrs. Kim when he gets a chance.
TWO WEEKS LATER
When hoseok comes home, just like everyday, Taehyung was sprawled on the living room floor, typing frantically on his laptop which meant another deadline. He started looking stressed after he completed his first week in the University and the special Dance lessons they were made to take was making him sore all over but nevertheless, he looked happy and determined which made the elder happy.
"Taehyung" hoseok calls out and the younger looks up at him and then at the clock which makes the elder ask "did you skip the lunch again?"
Taehyung looks at the floor while biting onto his lower lip "I am sorry hyung, I have this research paper to submit on history of classical music, I was just arranging all the information and I forgot about it" Taehyung felt guilty as it was the elder who would wake up earlier than his usual time t o prepare their breakfast and lunch so that when Taehyung was home he could eat it.
"its ok Taehyung, hyung just don't want you to get sick, you should not skip your meals" saying that hoseok forwards his hand and Taehyung takes it without any questions. He leads him into the washroom where Taehyung sees their bathtub was filled with water and bubbles and that's when he notices that the elder was already done with his bath and was dressed in his comfy clothes.
"take some rest, it will relax your muscles, then we will eat, ok?" Hoseok asks
"ok Hyung, Thank you" Taehyung says while looking at the elders face and that tingling feeling again erupting in the pit of the stomach that started happening two days back.
Hoseok nods and walks out of the bathroom, locking the door on his way
Taehyung thinks about everything that happened in the past week and how he started getting this weird feeling everytime he was in the vicinity of his husband
2 weeks ago
"hello Hoseok, it's a pleasure to have you here again" says the Dean of the university as he welcomes them into his office
"hello Mr. Park, thank you for letting Taehyung join in the middle of a term" hoseok says as he pulls the chair for the younger to take before sitting down himself which didn't go unnoticed by Mr. Park
"Oh, that's not a problem at all, how can I deny such a small request from you Hosoek, you were my star student once" Mr. Park says
"Taehyung here has all his documents, and we can complete any formalities right now, if its not a problem with you as Taehyung would like to start classes as soon as possible" Hoseok says ignoring Mr.Park's previous comment
"sure, that can be done, but before that" he turns to look at Taehyung "why music Taehyung?"
At first Taehyung was taken aback by the sudden question thrown towards him but then he looks at the elder who was sitting next to him expectantly. He takes a deep breath and replies
"Since I was a child, I have treated as someone different, some used to call me weird and I never understood why, for me what I did and what I said always made sense but there was no one who understood me and that's when I started writing and I kept on writing and it started making me happy, it started making me feel like I was not alone and I fell in love with the words that I wrote. Music makes me happy and I want people to feel the same emotions that I feel through my writing"
He just blabbered whatever was on his mind and once he was done he looks at the dean who was smiling a genuine smile and then he looks at his husband who looked like he had become taller than before.
"amazing" Mr. Park presses a button on his intercom and a lady in her late thirties comes in "Mrs. Kang, this is Jung Taehyung, please take him to the admissions department and help him complete the formalities
The lady nods and Taehyung looks at Hoseok waiting for the elder to stand up
"go on Taehyung, I have something to discuss with your husband here, he'll join you in no time" Mr. Park says and Taehyung nods and looks at hoseok again who gives him a nod and they leave
Hoseok joins him when he was done with the formalities and just his guardians signature were needed
"h-hyung, you will have to sign some papers"
Hoseok turns to the admission lady who asks "relation with the student?"
"husband" hoseok gives a single worded answer in his deep serious voice which even makes the grumpy lady to look up and that's when she sees the Adonis standing in front of her
"sorry?" she asks again not believing her ears
"my relation with the student, Husband, I am Jung Taehyung's husband Jung Hoseok" hoseok says now irritated with the stare of the lady
"oh, right right" she types something on the computer while giving hoseok some papers to sign which he does in no time
Soon the lady gives Taehyung his schedules and everything
"lets go tae" hoseok says while keeping his hand on the small of his back and taehyung's heart flutters when he hears the nickname from the elder's mouth, he looks at the admission lady who was eyeing his husband like a candy which hoseok was clearly ignoring
"yes h-hyung" and they walk from there but instead of going home hoseok takes him around the faculty of music, they were walking through the corridor when they see a bunch of kids running towards them with all kinds of musical instruments in hand and they were obviously excited about something that they didn't even care that they were about to stomp on someone which was going to be Taehyung, who closes his eyes, ready to be stomped upon but suddenly he was being pulled to the side and was being engulfed into his favorite warmth
The voices die down as they were getting farther away, he moves his face away from the crook of the elder's neck and his heart goes haywire when he realizes how near their faces were
"why didn't you move tae" asks the elder and his warm breath hits the younger's face which makes his legs go jelly but he holds onto his husband tighter
"I am sorry hyung, I got scared" Taehyung says while looking down only to blush to realize that they were still hugging with elder's hands wrapped around his waist
"you scared me tae" hoseok says while giving a silent sigh of relief
Taehyung was brought back to reality by the slight knock on the bathroom door
"taehyung, did you sleep in there" he hears the elder's soft voice but he pouts because after that day, the elder went back to calling him his full name but he wanted the elder to call him 'tae'
"no hyung, I am coming" Taehyung says while standing up from the bathtub
"ok, come fast, dinner is ready" with that he hears the elder's retreating footsteps
It amazes him on how they have fallen into this daily routine as if they have known each other for years and how elder knows everything that he needs or will need even before he could voice it out but it also makes him feel useless as he was the one who is always on the receiving end. And Taehyung knows that the elder has not opened upto him yet, they have never talked about his parents and before Jaehee noona left for states she asked him for just one favor and that was to not ask Hoseok about their parents because it will break him.
But Taehyung wasn't sure if he will be able to keep that promise for too long as he also wanted to take care of his husband, he wanted the elder to see him as a shoulder that he can lean on. And Taehyung will try and he will start now because he wants them to work especially when he has started feeling things for the elder. He don't want to give those feeling a name just yet but he believes that he will be able to in the future.
Taehyung walks into their dining room where the elder was sitting waiting for him as soon as he sees Taehyung he gives him a small smile, not the one where we can see his dimples but the one where there is a small twitch at the corner of his lips and Taehyung believed that it was a progress as he was seeing that smile more and more often
They start eating
"how is college, Taehyung?" hoseok asks
"its good hyung, I have a bit extra work than others to catch up with the grades but I think I am doing well except for the dance classes, they haven't started it yet but I am afraid" Taehyung says while eating his food
"Isnt Jimin a dance major, did you ask him for help?" hoseok asks
"yes hyung, and Jungkook also promised me to help" Taehyung smiles his boxy smile
"that's good" hoseok nods
The fall into a comfortable silence before Taehyung decides to break it
"hyung are you free this weekend" Taehyung asks
"why Taehyung? Do you want to go somewhere?" hoseok asks
"hyung I wanted to go to this exhibition which will open this Friday, so I was wondering if you could come with me?" Taehyung says not looking at the elder
"we can go on Sunday, if you are free" hoseok says which makes the younger to look at him with his boxy smile
"really hyung?" Taehyung asks
"yeah sure, I can ask sejin to pick us up" hoseok says while standing up from the table as he was done with his dinner but taehyung's face fall
"oh, hyung,i-I was thinking if only the two of us could go" Taehyung says a bit hesitant
"yeah, its just us Taehyung" hoseok says in a confused tone
"I- I meant just you and me, no one else, not even sejin hyung" Taehyung says, now joining hoseok near the sink
"then who will drive?" hoseok asks in a tone which clearly meant that he don't wanted to carry forward this conversation but was doing it just for the sake of the younger
"hyung...you can drive right, I have seen your driving license in your wallet...I mean I wasn't checking it or anything, I just saw when it fell on day..i.." Taehyung was blabbering but stops when he sees hoseok taking a deep sigh and then turning to fully face him
"I don't drive Taehyung, I stopped driving a long time back and I will not be driving again and I don't want to have this talk anymore, I will wash up, you can go and complete your paper" hoseok says and then turns back to the sink while Taehyung stands there looking at the elder for some time and then turns away from him when he finds that his husband's face was turning into a melting painting and was about to flow out of his eyes
"Good night hyung" Taehyung had thought of saying it in a strong voice but all that came out of his mouth was a little coarse whisper.
Taehyung has no idea why the hell was he crying, not like hoseok said something to hurt him or that's what his brain was telling him but his heart pained at the fact that the elder decided to not share the reason behind it and just blew him away.
Here, the little whimper in the younger's voice didn't go unnoticed by Hoseok and he curses himself for the way he said what he said. He didn't think that it would hurt the younger so much to make him cry but what was he supposed to do now. How can he just tell him that he stopped driving because of what happened two years ago when he himself was not ok to talk about it yet?
He leaves the dishes in the sink for their early moring staff to come and clean and decides to follow the younger into their bedroom
As soon as he enters he sees a big lump on taehyung's side which was shaking
Taehyung hears the door open and decides to pretend to sleep but his sniffles were not helping at all
"Taehyung?" hoseok calls and enters under the duvet on his side of the bed but the younger didn't budge
"Taehyung I know you are not sleeping"hoseok tries again and hears the younger take a deep breath and then turns to face him but remains lying down while wiping his face
But the tears or the tear stains didn't go unnoticed by the elder, which makes something twitch in his heart
They keep looking at each other before hoseok bends and places a soft kiss on the younger's forehead which takes Taehyung by surprise and he brings the duvet upto his nose to try and cover his pink cheeks which were already pink due to all the crying he did.
"h-hyung" Taehyung says, his voice muffled by the duvet
"I am sorry tae, hyung didn't mean to hurt you, there is a reason why hyung cant drive but hyung is just not ready to talk about it right now, ok?" hoseok says while sitting back on the bed with his back resting on the headboard while his hand was now caressing taehyung's hair
"but hyung I want you to tell me things, I want to know you hyung, I want to know my husband better" Taehyung says now copying his husbands position
Hoseok looks at the younger and sees the sincerity in the younger's eyes and he again gets that weird feeling in his heart, that twitching.
"I promise that I will tell you when I am ready" hoseok says
"pinky promise" Taehyung asks now forwarding his pinking for the elder to take which makes the elder smile but intervenes their pinkies together
"pinky promise" hoseok says with a smile.
Here I am after a long time with a long ass chapter, its literally 4003 words.
