The scene picks up where we left off. The group from Helheim explained what happened and how they have an idea on what to do to find this path. Kratos then takes a book out from Tyr's library and shows a picture to Brok.

Kratos: can you make it?

Brok: is it a weapon? Armour? Or likewise an instrument of war of which I'm a master at shapin'? No? Then forget it. Even if I wanted to make such an insignificant gewgaw, I'm liable to chink my tools working on something so delicate and ladylike.

Sindri: (enters) the shingle it. Pattern weld the item with skap slag. Keep the layers thin, alternate the overlay.

Brok: okay, smart guy. And where d'ya propose to find a lump of quality skap slag? Last time I saw one, I could still get rigid down south.

Sindri pulls out a crystal like object form his bottomless bag.

Brok: shut your mouth. Is that...? Where did you...?

Sindri: I had to get my hands dirty. (Gags)

Brok: (laughter) well, don't just stand there-- let's do this!

Sindri: what? You? You're fine with working on something that's not a weapon?

Brok: ah hell... why not? What? I can grow too...

The two then got to work and the other except Atreus just watch with smiles.

Sindri: oh, watch the spine. Keep your wrist loose.

Brok: YOU keep your wrist loose. I need more heat here!

Sindri: coming up. You going to temper that steel longer?

Brok: I don't need to-- I triple-quenched it with Draugr oil. See?

Sindri: oh, how inventive. And sanitary! You clever little beaver! Never too late to learn a new trick, is it?

Brok: no, it's not!

Sindri: here it is!

Brok: nope! Don't forget this!

They put their brands together and put it on the ready-made key. They then hand it to Kratos and took notice of the others.

Brok: oh quit yer grinning. It's downright unsettlin' hrmm.

Atreus: It's just nice to see you together. But... now the rune on your brand looks different.

Broke: Yeah, price of uh... reforging something what broke.

Atreus: I knew it. You two love each other.

Brok: Oh, cut it out, princess. You're gonna get me all weepy.

Sindri: I like the new one better, don't you?

Kratos: we have work to do.

Atreus: now we just need to figure out what door this key opens. It has to be somewhere around the temple...

Riku: let's head outside and see what we can see.

With their key, they went outside the room and started looking around the bridge. They then found a door with Tyr's rune and inserted the key into it, unlocking the door and leading to the realm room, but something was wrong.

Roxas: how did we get on the ceiling?

Naminé: this must led to Tyr's clue.

Kratos: (looks up) up there. Týr used the same magic to protect the Black Rune. The clue we seek may be inside.

Atreus: huh-- Right next to the Jötunheim door!

Mimir: interesting... but can you reach it?

Kratos: not from here.

Sora: there's gotta be a way to get up there.

After seeing that, they noticed the door opens, and on the other side was another room.

Atreus: oh! What's behind there?

Mimir: well! One inner sanctum within another...

Xion: what's through there?

Arcturus: let's find out.

It leads them to the lower level where they see the rune representing Jötunheim and two gold troll statues holdings chains. They then notice the door was upside down, and it gives Kratos an idea.

Kratos: Speedster, Yang, with me.

Arcturus: (walks over with Yang) what do you need?

Kratos: grab the ledge and lift.

Yang: why?

Kratos: just do it.

The three grab it, and together, lift with enough strength to show signs of flipping the entire temple.

Atreus: it's moving!

Mimir: what's moving?

Ruby: they're lifting the entire temple!

Axel: that's some strength. But, what now?

Clara: guys, look.

They look below and see chains that were holding the temple in place. The three let go and the statues moved, showing writing on them. Translated, it says void. Boy writes it in the sand bowl and they see a lift is unlocked to take them lower down.

Roxas: okay, so what do we do?

Arcturus: we need to break those chains. We do that, and the whole temple can be flipped.

Mimir: are you quite sure flipping the temple is the only way to reach the whatever-it-is?

Kratos: you said there would be a path. The temple can be flipped.

Mimir: therefore... we flip the temple. The logic is unassailable.

Terra: yeah, it's crazy.

Arcturus: you forget, I'm all about crazy.

Ruby: well, it looks like it's our only option. Let's get down there and see what we can do.

They lowered down and found two pathways, as well as a Jötnar shrine that told the story of a giant who lived for centuries and had many kids, and died of old age. Of course, reaching the chains were no easy task, especially since there were obstacles to try and keep them from reaching them. This included saw blades, Heartless, witches, and other monsters. After they broke both the chains, they went back up to the statues.

Mickey: okay. Now that they're broken, Arc, Yang, and Kratos should be able to lift the temple.

Naminé: this'll definitely be interesting.

Mimir: listen everyone... I know what I promised, but in case this doesn't work just remember - Týr had good cause to create these obstacles. He's kept Jötunheim out of Odin's reach, but the world is hardly at peace.

Atreus: no... but it's got hope. We're all working together now... we have unity. That's what the rune on the door to this place was telling us. We're on Týr's path.

Arcturus: dad always did wanted to help others. And don't worry, once it's over, we'll make sure Odin never finds that realm.

Yang: speaking of, let's flip this ting, boys.

The three get back to their position before, and together, lifted the platform. The others told them to lift with their legs and to keep going. And, with a roar from the three, lifted the whole thing up and literally flipped the entire temple.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy: WHOA!!!

Roxas: holy shit!

Xion: that was awesome!

Mimir: bloody outstanding! On the day that brute force is the answer, I'll be quite happy to be on your side, brother. And we're not dead-- that's a plus.

Aqua: and there's a path for us to climb. Let's get back inside.

Atreus: see that, Mimir? Nobody could do all this alone. All these obstacles... they're just chances to prove we're the ones who can beat them. We may argue... me and father, you and Freya, Brok and Sindri... Arcturus, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Naminé, Xion, Terra, Aqua, Ventus, Axel, Clara, and Mickey... but when we all work together, we DO make a good team... and that's Týr test. That's why we're gonna male it to Jötunheim.

Mimir: do you hear that, brother? Lad's found his equilibrium.

Atreus: what's that mean?

Kratos: he means you speak wisely, Atreus. And that is good to hear.

They enter inside to see the room back in with the tree upside down, or them upside down? Honestly at this point, all logic's thrown out the window. Anyways, the found a cloud of white mist with a mask floating in it. Atreus stabs it with his knife, and the mist creaks to show a black rock with gold on it.

Arcturus: what is this?

Kratos: some sort of travel stone.

Mimir: let me see. (Kratos lifts him) (surprised) Great Auðumabla's udders—that's the Unity Stone!

Kairi: what's the unity stone?

Mimir: only the rarest travel stone ever crafted. Now it all makes since; Tyr still kept balance with the Keyblade by not revealing his true nature, but still needed to travel around.

Kratos: he held this. In the panel in Odin's library.

Mimir: yes! That's it—I understand now. It shows Týr walking the Realm Between Realms. You know how you must never stray from the path? Well. Týr always followed his own path, if you catch my meaning.

Kratos: the Realm Between Realms...

They then got their new plan: jump into the realm between realms and see where it leads. With the wielders, they would be protected by the Keyblades so they'll be fine. They head back to the gateway and enter the pathway. They walked over to the ledge and got ready. First, for the non-wielders, they had to double up (Sora and Donald, Terra and Goofy, Arc and Ruby, Riku and Weiss, Aqua and Blake, and Axel and Yang)

Arcturus: you ready to do this?

Ruby: yep.

Everyone: (nods yes)

Mimir: well... if this is it, lads, it's been an honour.

Kratos: have faith, Head.

With everyone ready, they all took one leap and started going down in the purple abyss.

Atreus: this is incredible!

Mimir: I... thought... there'd... be... a... bridge...!

Donald: (holds on tighter) wack! We're gonna die! I wasted my life!

Sora: Donald, stop choking me!

Arc and Ruby: WHOA HOO!

They then landed on another platform, perfectly intact. As they got off each other, they cheered (except for Kratos)

Sora: that was awesome!

Arcturus: hell yeah!

Mimir: you're both idiots!

Clara: that's what I keep saying.

Mimir: ach... how can I be so nauseous without stomach?

Atreus: come on, that was great...! (Sees something) look... The tower! I knew there was something down here...

Sure enough, the Jötunheim bridge tower was not too far away from them.

Mimir: amazing. How do you hide something that exists in all realms? Cast it out of any realm to the space between. Clever old Týr.

Atreus: is Jötunheim on the other side?

Mimir: can't be that. It's not like you go through Vanaheim to reach the Midgard peak.

Kairi: but, maybe we can get this thing out of here and back to the lake.

Kratos: then let's look inside.

Mimir: stay alert everyone—Týr's little challenges are never as simple as they appear.

Arcturus: honestly, I'd be worried if they weren't.

They made their way there where they enter the tower. Inside, they find a pedestal with a socket in the shape of the stone. Kratos inserts it, and it lowers down, causing the tower to absorb it and start shaking.

Kairi: what's going on?

Atreus: is it moving? It's moving!

Axel: what the hell!?

Riku: it's the stone!

Mimir: quite right. The stone served its purpose. We're fulfilling Týr's spell!

Kratos: what happens now?

Mimir: no idea, brother... but after that fall, I'm sure we're past the worst of it.

Arcturus: damnit.

Mimir: what?

Sora: we're about to get hit with the worst.

The room stops, and mist enters.

Atreus: smells like Niflheim all of a sudden...

Mickey: I think it's because we are in Niflheim.

Then the worst came. A lot of monsters from dragur to heartless spawn and start to attack from all sides.

Mimir: oop! No, this is considerably worse.

Yang: no shit.

Riku: (summons Keyblade) everyone, get ready!

Everyone summons their weapons, and came to a challenge on surviving from multiple waves. Every time they defeated one, they moved and appeared in the next realm. This went on for about twenty minutes before they finally stopped and arrived back to Midgard.

They then hurried back to the travel room, but they came to one more problem.

Mimir: hold on, wait a minute... this isn't going to work.

Kratos: what?

Mimir: there's no travel crystal. Týr must have used his own eyes to refract the energy. It was his final failsafe.

Blake: a travel crystal?

Arcturus: see those crystals around the room? They're keys to help the bridge operate and open gateways to the realms.

Aqua: then that means without the crystal, we can't get there.

Atreus: but you've got eyes like him, Mimir.

Mimir: I've got AN eye-- one! Odin plucked out my other eye precisely to keep me from travelling. Sorry, lads. Thought that would work...

Kratos: what did Odin do with your other eye?

Mimir: he'd have kept it... in any of a hundred places, I'm afraid.

Atreus: we've come so far. There has to be a way.

Terra: come on, think Mimir. Is there any place that Odin would've put it that we might be able to find it?

Mimir: well, it's bit of a long shot, but for years I'd see Sindri, sometimes Brok, lurking around on that mountain when Odin came for his visits. Maybe they know something?

Ventus: it's worth a try. Let's go.

They head to the workshop where the brothers were working until they see the gang.

Atreus: hey guys. Question for you-- anyone know where we can find Mimir's other eye?

Sindri: oh... (holds back vomit) that's... I'm sorry. As a matter of fact, Odin asked me to... he wanted me to build a... he showed it to me, you see, and I... declined. Sorry, will you excuse me? (Goes off to throw up)

Mimir: well, that was useless.

Naminé: do you know something, Brok?

Brok: you know... it was about that same time that Odin came around lookin' for me to build a statue with some sort of hidden compartment.

Sindri: (offscreen) ah, it's all over my hands. Is that corn?

Axel: deep breaths! (Looks to Brok) you were saying?

Brok: now that not being a weapons and the Aesir being a bunch of pock-speckled cockers. I too saw fit to decline. But I know he got it built just the same.

Atreus: what was the statue?

Brok: it's that one of Thor, out there flashin' his sac to the lake.

Mickey: we didn't see that.

Kratos: the serpent ate it.

Sindri: (comes back) sorry about that. Feeling much better.

Atreus: how are we supposed to look inside the snake?

Sindri: inside?! OH, no... (goes back to get sick)

Mimir: We'd better go see what the World Serpent has to say about that. Well, lads, I don't know what lies ahead, but now would be a good time to make sure your gear is ready for the worst. Anything you need to do, I'd do it now. Just some sage advice...

With that, they decided to check out the other realms and do some farming. First, Atreus apologized to Sindri for earlier, but the dwarf forgave him. They travel to the realms Muspelheim and Niflheim where they went through Sutur's trials and went to Ivaldi's workshop. After surviving the trials, maze, and two powerful Valkyries, they received new Keyblades.

Jötnar's Winter (Sora). Form change: ice slayer (a replica of the Leviathan Axe that deals powerful ice attacks and will summon spirits to freeze and shatter enemies)

Spartan's Exile (Arc). Form change: god killer (eight swords that have a strong fire attacks and with increase burn effects to enemies. When transformed into Drive Form Knight with this equipped in form change, Blazing Whirlwinds will change to look like the blades of chaos)

With everything done, they return to Midgard and go to the lift leading to a horn. Mimir blows in it and the World Serpent, Jörmungandr, arrives to greet them.

Mimir: Thooooor stuh-tooooo... eeeee-kneeeee smooooo-thooooo thooooor-fah.

Ruby: (to Arc) what is he saying?

Arcturus: he's asking about the statue and telling him about that the eye might be in there.

Jörmungandr: (responds in Jötnar and lowers down)

Arcturus: (eyes widen) oh boy.

Kratos: is the statue lost to us?

Mimir: uhh, he thinks it might still be in his stomach.

Arcturus: and he's open to letting us row into his mouth to look inside.

Everyone but Kratos and Arc: Ewwww.

Sora: are you serious?

Mimir: by the by, he's not wild about it either.

Kratos: mmmh...

Atreus: so... are we really doing this? Letting the serpent... swallow us!

Kratos: you do not have to come.

Atreus: well, I'm not gonna MISS this... You... sure this is a good idea?

Kratos: no.

They all get to the boats and start rowing into the snake's mouth.

Mimir: well, brothers... I've been to many strange places... but this will be a new one.

Atreus: heh... yeah, I've never been in a Giant's belly either. How about you, father?

Kratos: never one that was not trying to eat me.

Sora: Riku, Donald, Goofy, and I've been in a whale's stomach a couple years ago.

Mimir: we really should expect that sort of response at this point.

They enter the mouth and start paddling forward more. After a few moments, they arrived to a pile of various debris merged together and different statues. One of which was of a giant wolf that was a bit at, and took the maximum zoom on the cameras to see it.

After looking through a couple of chests, they soon found the gold one they were looking for and inside was Mimir's left eye. Kratos then sticks it in Mimir, and he blinks a bit to make sure it was all back to normal.

Atreus: how's it feel, Mimir?

Mimir: well I wouldn't say I'm feeling whole again, but it's a right improvement.

Kratos: the Bifröst is intact?

Mimir: it'll serve.

Kratos: then we have all we need.

Yang: good. Let's ditch this place.

The all get back to the boats and start rowing back to the entrance.

Atreus: finally, we're going to Jötunheim. There's no stopping us now.

Mimir: Laddy, have you ever heard the term "tempting fate"..?

Atreus: fate is another lie told by the gods...

Mimir: ... told by the gods, yes, of course. You really are your father's son, you know.

Atreus: so how do we get back out?

Kratos: we signal the—

He was interrupted by shaking and slight groaning.

Kratos: hold on.

Mimir: what's going on?! Well that that was mildly terrifying. Maybe our presence is upsetting Jörmungandr's belly?

Kratos: no. Something is wrong.

Terra: we have to hurry.

Arcturus: right! (Hooks all the boats together) hold on tight!

He then starts rowing faster, and all the boats go full speed. This surprises the others as they hold on for dear life and the rumbling gets worse and worse. Not because of Arc, but something else.

Kairi: Arc, slow down! ARC! ARC! ARC!

Everyone: ARC!!!!!!!!

The serpent spits them out and they all fall out the boats. Kratos lands hard on a snow-covered rock and the others soon followed. Jörmungandr losses consciousness and falls near our heroes.

Riku: (muffled) you idiot! We told you to slow down, didn't we?

Arcturus: (helps him up) hehe, oops. Sorry.

Kratos: Boy? BOY!

Atreus: (hops up from the snow) pffah—! I'm good... Think I'm getting kinda used to this. What happened to him? Something we did?

Donald: no doubt with Arc's rowing.

Kratos: no. Something else

Ruby: where are we?

Kratos: the dead giant...

Xion: why take us here?

Atreus: look.

They look to the sky to see a bird floating by. It descends to the ground and turns to a woman with long brown hair, a gold dress, and a sheathed sword on her back. This is Freya.

Roxas: who's that?

Aqua: it's Freya, the Vanir goddess.

Atreus: (whispers) we can still trust her... right?

Kratos: (whispers) until we know for certain... keep your distance.

Freya: the World Serpent... what's happened here?

Atreus: we hoped you would know.

Kratos: you are too far from home.

Freya: I'm looking for my son. The two of you... you helped me see things more clearly. (Sees the group) and, you've met some new friends.

Ventus: we're just passing through.

Kratos: you do not know where he is then?

Freya: no. But the woods and fields speak his name. I know he walks here in Midgard.

Atreus: when'd you see him last?

Freya: Long ago... (leans closer) before you were even born. (Kratos puts a hand in front of Atreus) why are you standing so far from me? (Notices their looks) what's wrong? Something's happened...

Atreus: (points to the water) there!

They all look to see Baldur walking out the the icy water with a pissed off expression. The team gets on edge and gets into stances.

Sora: you again!?

Blake: how'd you find us!?

Baldur: I had a feeling hurting the big snake would bring all of you out in the open. Do you have any idea, any idea at all, what you have cost me?

Arcturus: look, it's been a really long day for all of us. So do us a favor and just back off!

Baldur: you know, at first I didn't care about a group of kids like all of you. But, after hearing that you hold Keyblades, and that one of you holds a power greater than any god, I have to fight you now.

Freya: my boy...

Baldur: (shocked) mother?

Freya: I'm here. Don't run away.

Baldur: oh, I'm not going anywhere, mother.

Freya: I know that you're still angry. I know that how you feel hasn't changed, but I want you to—

Baldur: how I feel? How I feel?! I spent the last one hundred years dreaming of this moment. I've rehearsed everything I ever wanted to say to you, every word, to make you understand exactly what you stole from me. But now I realise... I don't need you to understand anything. I don't need you at all.

He walks to her, but Kratos steps in front of her, she tells him to back off, but he refuses. He looks at Baldur, and recognized himself when he was on vengeance against Olympus. It was a mirror, he hoped to never see again.

Kratos: this path you walk... vengeance. You will find no peace. I know.

Sora: Baldur, listen. We know what happened, and you have every right to be angry. But, this won't help you, it'll only make it worse. You can still walk away from this.

Baldur: all of you... I'll deal with you later. But family first.

He goes to Freya again, but Kratos pushes him off. Seeing that there's gonna be a fight, everyone gets ready. They fight for a few moments, until Freya restrained them with her magic.

Baldur approaches them while Atreus tries to break Kratos free.

Baldur: you might want to turn away, boy. This won't be pretty.

Atreus: I won't let you hurt him.

Kratos: no, boy...

Baldur: fine.

Kratos: STOP!!! NO!!

Ignoring the man, Baldur punches Atreus hard in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him and sending him back to Kratos, breaking the vines. The others see this, and they all blasted right at him, sending Baldur back a bit. Kratos then checks Atreus.

Kratos: no... Atreus... you're bleeding. Breathe, boy... breathe!

Atreus: (gasps in breath) not... my blood...

Before the others could ask what, they noticed his quiver was missing something. They turn around, and saw the broken arrowhead in Baldur's hand and the tattoos on his body glow blue.

Arcturus: (eyes widen) of course! How could I forget? The weakness was mistletoe!

Donald: what?

Kairi: in the mythology, Baldur was killed when a god stabbed him with an arrow made of mistletoe.

Mickey: then that means...

Ruby: his curse is broken!

Baldur: (laughs) I can feel this... I can feel everything!

Freya: NO!!

Atreus: he's - vulnerable now?

Roxas: yep.

Yang: but, I don't think it's over.

Baldur then looks back at them, and for a brief moment, it almost looks like he was going to thank them. But, he's suddenly restrained by more vines. Then, they see Freya using her unbelievably powerful magic to take control of the dead giant.

Freya: YOU WILL NOT DO THIS!!!

She then grabs everyone and they're lifted in the air.

Axel: whoa! This is crazy!

Atreus: is Freya trying to kill us?

Kratos: no. Do you hear the wind? We are moving.

Sora: but, the mistletoe harmed him?

Mimir: he's more than harmed the spell is broken!

Kratos: he can be killed?

Mimir: I'm certain of it. It's all coming back now...

Atreus: NOW he remembers!

They then fall out and get into a circle formation. They also look up to see the giant looking down on them.

Atreus: she's controlling that thing??

Arcturus: with magic, anything's possible,

Freya: stay out of it! I can reason with him.

Kratos: no, woman! You cannot. He means to kill you!

Sora: we're trying to help!

Freya: I don't care if he kills me. I WILL protect him. I WILL NOT LET HIM DIE!

Baldur: how touching... This will all be over soon.

Naminé: on your left!

Baldur jumps out of no where and everyone blocks his strikes. As they fight, he was shouting on how he could feel so much more and Freya still tries to convince them to stop. Kratos pierces Baldur with his Blades of Chaos and throws him against the wall.

Freya: you. Will. STOP!

She raises a hand to squish them, but the three strong ones stop the hand. They then lift it up, exposing the red crystal on the ring.

Kratos: Boy! The crystal!

Atreus shoots an electric arrow, creating a powerful explosion that throws everyone back into a small crack in the rock.

Kratos: (stands up) Atreus?

Sora: where are you!?

Atreus: (from a higher platform)I'm up here! I'm okay.

Baldur: (lands and is on fire) and I'm doing WONDERFUL! Why I've never felt so alive!

Clara: this isn't good. His curse maybe broken, but his body's absorb more power. It won't be long before his heart's lost in darkness.

Freya: stop this! Þrifa!

From the giant's palm, she creates Heartless and poison dragur that attacks them. Baldur's attacks were now fire base and Kratos swapped to the axe. They keep hitting it with everything they got to try and stop him, but he was stubborn and was surviving the amount of beatings they gave him.

After his health's lowered, Kratos throws Leviathan Axe at him, cutting his shoulder joint and flipping him into a boulder. The axe returns to Kratos and he runs to finish off Baldur. But, Freya commands the giant to pull the chisel out of his head and strikes it right in the ground.

Freya: Nnngghhh.... NO!!!

Baldur: MOTHER!!! I'LL KILL YOU!!! (Climbs the chisel)

The others follow and they then start running up the side of the arm. As Atreus shoots him, Kratos runs to him, and the two have another fist fight.

Freya: please... there's been enough pain.

Baldur: shut UP, MOTHER!

Freya: no!

Baldur: (maniacal laughter)

The Spartan grabs him in a bear grip and the two jump off. The others follow and destroy heartless as they fell. As they land, Baldur breaks free and starts choking Kratos and Arc.

The others the get restrained by vines and Baldur says something that especially pushes them harder.

Baldur: before you die, I want to thank you. Both of you. You've done what even the Allfather himself could not. I've never felt more alive! Ironic, isn't it? (Turns to Arc) and when I'm done, I'm going to find whatever whore Tyr had to make you, and finish them off. Not before I have some fun with her and your girlfriend.

Arcturus: (angered) I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!!!

Hearing that he was going to do things to his mom and Ruby, was enough to cause Arc to trigger Wraith Form and the cobra launches up, biting the vines from the others and giving Terra enough time to change his blade to cannon mode and fire directly at the giant.

Kratos then triggers his Spartan Rage and together with Arc Wraith, the two mercilessly attack him as he's thrown like a rag doll. Baldur then has one more change, as his darkness corrupted his heart and he's now hod,I gotta a dark aura and is ready to kill.

Baldur: NO! WHY WON'T YOU DIE!?

Arcturus: (demonic voice) you first. Death's Judgment!

He charges his claws and in the blink of an eye, cuts through reality, causing everything to stop. But, as his hands come together, time resumes and Baldur looses a lot of health. The others arrive and see him as a heartless. Freya still tries to get them to stop, but no one's letting up, and it wasn't until they trigger a limit break.

Team Light: Spartan RAGE!!!!!!

Everyone's fists gain an orange fire and electricity, along with a glowing red mark and white ash skill, and they all released a barrage of strikes that combined really brought damage. As it ends, father and son fight with six last moves before Kratos grabs him and starts ruthlessly beating him to a bloody pulp. (A/N: seriously, how the hell was he still alive at this point?) Before they could finish it, Freya does one more trick.

Freya: Frjósta!

The giant releases an ice breath that causes everyone to hold onto each other.

Kairi: what do we do!?

Atreus: look! I have an idea! Mooooog-taaaaaaay-oooooom!

Kratos: boy? (Sees something) well done boy!

Jörmungandr appears, roars, and with his mighty jaws, grabs the giant's head in his mouth. Thei causes it to drop everyone as they fall back to the front entrance and Freya to loose control of the giant and fall down, too. Kratos then grabs Baldur and chokes him.

Baldur: come on... do it.

Freya: stop... please.

Atreus: he's beaten, father... not a threat.

Kratos: (after a moment) you will not come for us again. You will not touch her.

Freya: I don't need your protection.

He let's go and gets up and walks away. He heads over to the others as they check their wounds.

Sora: (sees Baldur) so, what now?

Arcturus: I don't think he'll let go just like that.

Baldur: (to Freya) you can't help yourself, can you mother? No matter what I do or say, you won't stop interfering in my life.

Freya: I was just trying to protect you. I was... I've made mistakes. I know, but you're free now. You have what you want. Try to find forgiveness, and we can build something new.

Baldur: no. No. We can't. Because I will never forgive you. You still need to pay for the lifetime that you stole from me.

Freya: I have paid... I have paid. But if that alone will make you whole... if seeing me dead will make things right... I won't stop you.

Baldur: (crying) I know.

He then chokes her, but due to her curse, she couldn't fight back. And even if she could she wouldn't. She tells Baldur she loves him, but he's stopped when Kratos garbs him in a strong neck hold.

Baldur: (choking) why... why do you even care! You... You could have... walked away.

Kratos: the cycle ends here. We must be better than this.

He grabs his head and chin, and completely snaps his neck completely. He then falls to the ground and his eyes turn bloodshot. Before he dies, a snowflake falls on his face and he says one word.

Baldur: snow... (dead)

Freya: (rushes to his side) no, no, no, no, no, no, no... My boy... my dear, sweet, boy...

Kratos: Freya... He chose this.

Freya: (slowly at first then louder) I will rain down every agony, every violation imaginable, upon you. I will parade your cold body from every corner of every realm, (emotionally) and feed your soul to the vilest filth in Hel. That is my promise.

Atreus: he saved your life!

Freya: (crying) he robbed me of everything! Everything! You are just an animal... passing on your cruelty and rage. You will never change.

Kratos: then you do not know me.

Freya: I know enough. Does he?

There comes a moment of silence. The team doesn't know what to do, but Kratos finally decides to tell a bit of the man he once was.

Kratos: Boy, listen close: I am from a land called Sparta. I made a deal with a god that cost me my soul. I killed many who were deserving (remembers the Greek pantheon)... and many who were not. (Remembers Lysandra, Calliope, Pandora, Orkos)(turns to Atreus) I killed my father.

Atreus: that was your father in Hel... Is this what it is to be a god? Is this what it is to be a god? Is this how it always ends? Sons killing their mothers... their fathers?

Kratos: (kneels to his level) no. We will be the gods we choose to be, not those who have been. Who I was is not who you will be. We must be better.

The team gives small smiles to father and son, seeing that they're now closer, but they fade when they see Freya with her dead son in her arms. She merely looks at them, and walks away.

Mimir: well... guess we're the bad guys now.

Kratos: in her eyes, yes. But she could never make that choice. We should finish this journey while I still have strength.

Sora: about that. Why don't you guys go ahead and we'll head off?

Atreus: really? You don't want to see Jötunheim?

Arcturus: we would. But, this is more of a family matter to you guys. None of us want to intrude.

Team Light: (nods in agreement)

Kratos: very well.

He then stands up, walks over to them, and offers a hand to Arc, which he accepts.

Kratos: on the journey you are taking, there will he struggles that will come to you. But, trust in your mind, and your heart, and you will prevail. But do not let your hatred for your enemy consume you. You must be better.

Arcturus: I will. Thank you, Kratos. (They break hand shake)

Atreus: I'll miss you guys.

Sora: don't worry. We'll be back, and we'll still go on adventures.

Kairi: you guys take care.

Goofy: and we hope you find what yer' lookin' for.

Atreus: thanks, guys.

Mimir: I often don't pick favorites, but to you lot, I definitely enjoyed this adventure.

With final goodbyes, they departed ways. Though, from the distance, a hooded girl watches them leave and speaks softly to herself.

???: I'm running out of time.

Author's note: they are victorious!
I know I skipped the ending, but it's honestly not important to the team. Plus, it's meant for Kratos and Atreus.
The wolf statue is an Easter egg to Fenrir. Apparently, if you go to the serpent's stomach in the game, at a certain area, there's a statue of a wolf hidden in the back that your have to use photo mode just to barely see it.
With the Keyblades, these would be the optional ones here. Sora's is from Niflheim, and Arc's from Muspelheim. They're received after defeating the Valkyries from these realms. And also, they're probably some of my favorite Keyblades I've drawn.
We have two more worlds to go, then a break chapter, and then it's off to the final battle.

Next chapter: angels scream, devils cry
