I walked Bonnie back home, and went to talk to Damon.
I found him sitting in his room.
"Damon, we have a problem." I said.
"What is it?" he asked.
I explained to him about what happened this morning.
He frowned.
"Well, that Bonnie girl isn't strong enough to stop me, so I have nothing to worry about except getting it back." he said.
"Okay." I said, unworried myself.
Everyone had woken up by the time I walked into the kitchen.
"Hey guys." I said.
They all greeted me.
"Stefan, I'm goint to walk to school okay?" l said.
"Okay, see you there." he said.
On my way to school, I stopped by Jeremy's, knowing he would'nt have left yet.
"Oh, hi Marni," Jenna said, answering the door. "Jeremy's in his room."
"Thanks." I said.
I walked up the stairs an ran into ELena.
"Oh, hey Marni." she said.
"Hey Elena," I said, "Has Bonnie talked to you lately?"
"You found out she knows?" she guessed.
I nodded.
"Did she tell you about the dreams about Emily?" I asked.
"How did you find out about that?" she asked.
I told her about this morning, excluding the part about Damon's crystal.
"Oh," she said.
"I'm going to go talk to Jeremy," I said.
"See you at school," she said.
I walked into Jeremy's room to find him digging through his bag.
"Hey Jeremy," I said.
"Oh, hey Marni," he said. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to talk about last night." I said.
"Ah," he said.
"So, I was just wondering if you wanted to be a couple, or just stay friends," I said.
"What do you wanna do?" he asked.
"I don't really mind either." I said, trying to act casual, but I kinda want to go for the first option.
"Neither do I." he said.
"Do you want to try be a couple?"
"Sure." he said with a happy smile on his face.
"Wow," I said, relieved. "That was awkward."
"Yeah, it was." he laughed.
"So what do you think that Stacey chicks gunna do when she finds out?" I asked.
"I don't know, but we should try and make her really jealous." he said.
"We have to get to school," he said.
The walk to school was nice, it wasn't awkward.
I felt myself blush when Jeremy held my hand.
When we walked to school, Stefan and Elena were out the front.
Elena noticed the hand hold.
"OH MY GOD!" she sqealed excitedly. "I knew it, l knew it, l knew it!"
Stefan laughed.
"Elena, calm down." I said, trying to keep the smile off my face.
Tyler Lockwood walked past us and death glared Jeremy.
Bonnie walked over to us.
"Hey guys- Oh. My. God." she said, staring at mine and Jeremy's hand. "Aww, you guys are sooo cute together."
"You guys are like little kids at Disney World." Jeremy laughed.
"I bet Shadow will be jealous." Stefan said very smugly.
"I knew you'd be happy about that." I muttered.
He laughed.
The bell rang.
"We have History." I said to Jeremy.
We left the others with Bonnie and Elena going "Aww."
"People are staring." I whispered to him.
"Good." he said. "Look, there's Stacey."
He let go of my hand and wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my cheek.
I smiled and blushed.
Stacey looked like she was going to kill someone. She death glared us and started muttering.
"That made her so jealous." I said.
"I didn't just do it because of her," he said. "I did it because I wanted to."
I suddenly felt very happy.
We sat at the back and some of my friends gave me the thumbs up.
A man with light brown hair walked in.
"My name is Alaric Saltzman," he said. "I'm your new history teacher. Mr. Tanner has gone away and is teaching at a new school."
Good, l thought, I never liked that guy anyway.
"Yes." I heard Jeremy mutter.
After history, Jeremy and I had different classes, and as I was walking down the hallway someone called my name.
"Marni!" Caroline Forbes was hurrying towards me. "Thank God I found you."
I had only spoken to Caroline a few times but she was nice to me so I liked her, and she was one of Elena's best friends..
"Hey Caroline, what's up?" I said.
"Is it true your going out with Elena's little brothe?" she asked.
Wow news traveled fast around here.
"Yes." I said.
"Aww, you's are going to be so cute together." Why does everyone keep saying that?
"Anyway," she said. "I need your help planning the Halloween party this year."
"It's not for like two months." I said.
"I know, but we have to be prepared, and last's years one was a disaster so," she saod.
"Sure, I'll help." I said.
"Great." she said, "And happy birthday for yesterday."
"Thanks, how did you know it was my birthday?" I asked.
"Elena." she said.
"Oh."
"Well, bye." she said.
At lunch I sat with Jeremy, Stefan, Elena and Bonnie.
"Guys, enough with the staring." I said.
Elena and Bonnie had been staring at me and Jeremy for all of lunch.
"Sorry." they muttered.
"Bonnie, how have you been since this morning?" I asked. We hadn't spoken it about it at all.
She gave me a warning look.
"Don't worry," I said. "They already know."
I had told Jeremy this morning and I was pretty sure Elena told Stefan.
"You guy's know?" she asked.
Stefan and Jeremy nodded.
"I should've known." she said. "With you guys going out and Stefan being a vampire."
"How did you know about that?" Stefan asked.
"Grams explained all she new about the supernatural world to me." she answered.
"Oh."
"I've been fine." she said, answering my earlier question.
"Good." I said. "Maybe you shouldn't wear the nacklace."
"Hmm." she said, frowning.
"Would I be able to have a look at it?" I asked. "I know a lot about crystals and I might be able to figure out what Emily's trying to tell you."
"You'd do that for me?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, it'd be nice to be able to get some decent sleep anyway." she said, handing me the necklace.
"Emily?" Stefan asked, confused.
"I'll explain later." I said.
The rest of the day went alright, and when I got home, Damon was waiting in the livingroom for me with a smirk on his face.
"So, you and Jeremy eh?" he asked.
I groaned.
How in God's name did he find out?
"That's not important right now," I said. "But what is, is this."
I pulled the necklace from my pocket and held it up in front of me.
