Stefan walked around the halls of Mystic Falls High School "Bonnie..." He said surprised after bumping in to the witch "I wasn't expecting to see you in..."
"Enzo left" She said bluntly with a slight shrug
Stefan cringed slightly "sorry to hear that... have you seen my brother?"
"Why would I have seen Damon... I would have thought Elena would know"
"Not Damon..." Stefan shook his head "Leo..."
"Leo?" Bonnie raised a brow "you have another brother?"
He nodded
"What does he look like?" She asked
"Tall... blue eyes... brown hair... er..." Stefan listed
"Nope, I haven't seen him... sorry"

Rebekah thought of all possible ways , she and the Salvatore brother could get the cure out of the stone...
"Thought of anything yet?" Leo asked as he began to get impatient
"Your going to have to bring it out of here" She replied
"Me? I have to hold this thing?"
"Well yes" She looked at her nails with a smile "I don't want to break a nail"
Leo huffed with a roll of the eyes before picking the stone up and carrying it to where , he and the original dropped down from...
"Careful Leo"

"Elijah" Enzo's husky British voice started... "we've been looking in the same building for over two hours ... we're wasting time here"
"Niklaus wouldn't just put the coffins in an easy hiding place..."
"I understand that but..."
"But we will keep looking until we find them ... do I make myself clear Lorenzo?"
"Yeah" Enzo exhaled a short breathe before looking around the building again...

Stefan pulled his phone out and called Damon...
"Damon? Have you seen Leo?"
"No, why?"
"Well... I can't find him... anywhere"
"He's probably just..."
"I have a bad feeling Damon..."
*Damon groaned* "I'll see you soon"
When Damon hang up ... Elena could see an annoyed expression on her boyfriends face... "what's up?" She asked
"Leo..." He rolled his eyes "Stefan can't find him"

"So what do you plan on doing with the cure? If it is in here" Leo looked at the blonde
"I plan on taking it" Rebekah shrugged
Leo couldn't help but let a laugh escape his lips "you? You want to be a human?"
"Yes" She replied sternly "is that a problem?"
"Rebekah... your an original... your immortal, why would you ever want to change?"
"Because I haven't lived Leo" She sighed "I've spend more then three hundred years in a box... my family ... well that speaks for itself..." She looked down "all I would want is to be a mother"
Leo listened to her words ... he understood why she would want to take the cure ... "you would be a great mother" He smiled gently
Rebekah looked at his with wide eyes "was that a compliment?" She smiled
"I guess it was" He returned the smile before starting to walk through the woods again with the rock in his hands
"Would you?" She began "ever want to be human?"
Leo shook his head "I learnt to accept what I am a long time ago..."

When Leo and Rebekah finally came out of the woods, they were in front of the town hall...
"Finally" Leo took a breathe of relief "I am craving a whole bottle of bourbon right now"
The original and Salvatore carried on their chat before...
"Leo!" Stefan stormed over "I've been looking for you!"
"Sorry mom!" Leo rolled his eyes at his brother
"Where have you been?" The older brother asked before looking at his hands "why have you got a rock?"
"Erm..." Leo stuttered
"He's been with me... I wanted this rock for a photo for the Internet" Rebekah lied
"For an instagram photo?" Stefan raised a brow
"Yes... that's what it's called" Rebekah smiled
Bonnie Bennett appeared a few moments later ...
Leo's eyes widened 'there she is...'
"Stefan..." She started "Damon and Elena still haven't found him"
"It's okay Bonnie..." Stefan said before Leo interrupted...
"We haven't met...... I'm Leo"
"Well Leo..." Bonnie put her hands on her hips "next time you disappear, tell your brother where you're going to I don't have to spend my day helping look for you"
"Nice to meet you too" He smirked before earning a roll of the eyes from Bonnie
"Come on then Leo" Rebekah ordered
"Woah woah woah" Stefan cut in "he's not going with you"
"Why wouldn't he?" Rebekah raised her brows
"Because I know your up to something" Stefan eyed the original up and down ... for some reason... even after all these years... Stefan was still protective over his younger brother...
FLASHBACK

When the young Stefan Salvatore watched his father slam his fist on to the table... he saw his younger brother jump out of his skin
"It was me father" Stefan spoke "I took five coins out of the safe..."
"Are you lying to me Stefan?" Giuseppe looked his son in the eye
Damon looked at both his younger brothers ... the fear in their eyes made his heart pound faster "father... it was me"
Stefan took a breathe of relief before watching his father burn the end of a cigarette on to Damons hand... the younger brothers heard Damons pain... however they didn't dare say a word ...
PRESENT DAY
"I'm fine Stefan" Leo chuckled patting his brothers shoulder after placing the rock down "I'll see you later"
When Leo and Rebekah walked away Bonnie huffed "so... he's another Damon?"
Stefan shook his head "he's his own category"
"He sounds like he can be a handful... especially because he's hanging around with Rebekah" Bonnie answered the Salvatore
"Oh he can be..." Stefan agreed "but I owe him..."
"Why?" Bonnie looked at him with confusion in her eyes
"Because I ruined his life..." Stefan replied bluntly before leaving

"They found him?" She cut in
Damon nodded "yeah..."
"Let's get home" She said before taking Damons hand in to hers
"Hey... should we leave tomorrow?" Damon asked
"You mean leave to travel tomorrow?" She smiled with a raised brow
"Yes tomorrow"
"Yes!" Elena spoke with such joy in her voice and eyes
"You best get home quick and start packing" He winked with a smirk ... nothing could ruin Damons mood... the older brother was finally going to get a break... finally getting a break with the woman he adored , no worries, no responsibilities apart from protecting the love of his life...
