<OST: I Wanna Say To You - Suzy>
"I'm telling you that's completely not how the situation panned out, Moon Byulyi-ssi!" Seokjin frowned. "You're writing it wrong!"
"Tsk-" Byulyi shoved Seokjin to one side and frowned at him. "I told you that I'm only being inspired by their progress, it's not a 100% wholesale copy of their story. What do you not understand, Kim Seokjin-ssi!"
"But this-" Seokjin sighed exasperatedly as he brought his face closer to the screen. "This is weird, this part is weird!"
"Which part is weird!"
"This part-" Seokjin mindlessly slid his hand over Byulyi's and moved the mouse over to the part he was talking about. "This part over here."
Byulyi cleared her throat loudly.
"You see this?" Seokjin carried on as he stared at the screen, unaware of the awkward tension in the room. "This part here - I already told you they met a second time at the company café... not Jieun-ssi's office cafeteria! Do makeup artists even have offices they report to?"
"Ahem!"
Seokjin turned to face Byulyi. "What?"
Byulyi awkwardly gestured towards her hand clamped between Seokjin's hand and the mouse. "My hand."
"Oh-" Seokjin let go at once, looking away immediately. "Sorry, I-"
"Tell me with your mouth, not your hand!" Byulyi swatted him aside, as she pulled her chair closer towards her computer and cleared her throat awkwardly. "What was it again?"
"Um-" Seokjin chuckled awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I said it's BG Entertainment's café, not whatever you wrote over here."
Byulyi turned and stared at him for a while. "Move further away."
"Huh?"
"Why are you sitting so close?" Byulyi narrowed her eyes. "Scoot over to your right a little."
"Why?" Seokjin frowned. "I wanna read and type too... I thought you said I was your cowriter!"
"Yeah, but you don't have to sit so near!"
"But I can't see from far!"
"But you're way too close!"
"How is this even close!"
Byulyi clucked her tongue frustratedly. "Well, it's close for me, so could you move?"
Seokjin stared at her blankly for a few seconds. "Byulyi-ssi, you've never had a boyfriend, have you?"
Byulyi was stumped.
"You're acting like you've never had a guy been up this close to you," Seokjin carried on, like the Sherlock Holmes wannabe he had always been. "Hold on a second... do you even have any guy friends?"
Byulyi looked away and busied herself with typing at her keyboard. "Y-Yeah, of course I do."
"You don't sound very sure of yourself though?" Seokjin teased with a cheeky smile. "Tell me the truth, ow!"
"Shut up-" Byulyi rolled her eyes and turned away nonchalantly, as if she hadn't just punched Seokjin right in the stomach. "Focus now."
"Okay, okay, fine-" Seokjin grinned as he rubbed his stomach. "Back to work."
It was silent for a while as Seokjin watched Byulyi type at her computer.
"Wait-" Seokjin frowned. "You made an error."
"What? Where?"
"You wrote Jieun's occupation wrong-" Seokjin pointed at the screen. "You wrote 'reporter', instead of 'makeup artist'."
Byulyi stared at the screen blankly, before her eyes widened in realisation. "Oh, right!"
Seokjin glanced at her.
"Ah, silly me!" Byulyi laughed nervously. "Yeah, it's 'makeup artist', thanks for correcting me."
Seokjin raised his eyebrows.
"What?" Byulyi pursed her lips guiltily, avoiding Seokjin's gaze. "People can make mistakes sometimes too, alright? My previous story 'My Brightest Star' was also reporter-focused, so of course I could make mistakes sometimes! You don't have to make such a big deal out of it-"
Seokjin rolled his eyes as he pointed at the scren. "Aren't you gonna change it then? Why are you explaining this to me? You're wasting time."
"Oh, right-" Byulyi heaved a sigh of relief as she hurriedly deleted the word from her screen. "Sorry, my bad. I thought I had to explain it to you, since you're my cowriter after all."
Seokjin furrowed his eyebrows, shook his head and got to his feet. "I'm sleepy now, so I better head to bed. See you tomorrow, Byulyi-ssi."
Byulyi avoided Seokjin's gaze as she bit her lower lip anxiously. "Goodnight, goodnight, go to sleep."
As Seokjin trudged off towards his room, Byulyi could finally relax. She glanced at the screen, where she had accidentally made that mistake that could have costed Jieun her entire job advancement.
She needed to be extra careful from now.

"Good morning."
Jieun covered her mouth mid-yawn as she spotted Jungkook already seated at the table the next morning, waiting for her to have breakfast together. "Oh-"
"I made breakfast today," Jungkook said with a small smile. "Come have some."
As Jieun dragged her feet to the table, she couldn't help but eye Jungkook with surprise. Something had changed overnight. Perhaps he had been changing slowly all this while, but it was only today that she realised... he had changed. The perpetual scowl on his face was gone, he looked bubbly... he actually seemed like a nice guy.
Was it really the power of sleep?
"Wah..." Jieun scanned the table covered with plates of food. "What a spread this morning. You made all of this...?"
"This half, I made-" Jungkook gestured at the half of the table in front of him. "The rest... I bought."
Jieun's eyes widened in surprise. "For me?"
"If you don't want it, you don't have to eat it-" Jungkook said coolly. "I just bought it while I went on my morning run. It's for no one in particular-"
"Who said I'm not eating it?" Jieun smiled as she sat down and grabbed the plate before Jungkook could pull it away from her side. "I'll eat it, I'll eat it. You specially bought it for me, how can I not eat it?"
"I said it's not particularly for you-" Jungkook clucked his tongue in denial. "The stray cats outside my house have to eat too, okay?"
"Okay, okay-" Jieun rolled her eyes and sniggered softly as she dug in. "Gosh, you can't even admit it when you're being nice."
Jungkook glanced at her nonchalantly, as he dug into his own array of tofu and steamed broccoli. "Is it good?"
"You said it wasn't for me-" Jieun grinned cheekily. "Why would you bother?"
Jungkook looked away.
"It's good," Jieun said with a smile as she munched happily on her plain noodles. "Well, but it's also not that tasty-"
"Don't eat it then-"
"Wait, wait, wait-" Jieun held on tight to the bowl as Jungkook tried to rip it from her grasp. "I'm not done. I said it's not that tasty, but it's definitely much tastier when compared to the food I've been eating here for the past week."
Jungkook finally let go of the bowl, letting out a soft scoff as he turned back to his food.
"I'm grateful enough that you got this for me, frankly-" Jieun admitted as she glanced up at Jungkook. "You really didn't have to, but you made the effort to get it."
"It's not for you-"
"But it is."
Jungkook put down his chopsticks with a sigh, before looking up at Jieun. "It's the least I could do. I know how difficult it has been for you, living with me."
"That's true..." Jieun nodded slowly as she set her cutlery down briefly to look at Jungkook. "It definitely hasn't been easy - dealing with your mood swings and stubbornness and unpredictability and nonsense and-"
"Tsk."
"I'm kidding-" Jieun laughed. "Okay - half kidding. It hasn't been easy, but it has been fun in many ways too. If I never moved in, I never would have had a chance to try new things like rubber vegetables. I also would have never felt the satisfaction of helping someone fall asleep. I also wouldn't have learnt so many new things about you."
Jungkook folded his arms and narrowed his eyes. "What new things did you learn about me?"
"That the food you eat is not meant for human consumption...?"
Jungkook chuckled. "What else?"
"That you have an awful temper sometimes."
"What else?"
Jieun thought for a while. "That you look a thousand times better when you're asleep."
"What?" Jungkook laughed. "Why?"
"Because you're not talking."
Jungkook sneered at her. "What else?"
Jieun giggled. "That you make little snoring noises when you're asleep."
"Come on, I don't snore-"
"You do-" Jieun laughed. "Do you want me to take a video of you snoring next time?"
"Don't you dare-"
Jieun raised her hands up defensively. "You snore, that's a fact."
"Fine-" Jungkook pouted. "What else?"
Jieun pursed her lips. "That you're not as bad of a person that I made you out to be."
"Mmhmm-" Jungkook tried his best not to show his evident pleasure. "Anything else?"
Jieun looked away. "You're... actually a pretty alright person."
"Any more?"
Jieun stared directly into Jungkook's eyes for a while.
My heart beats really fast around you.
Jungkook stared right back, as if trying to read her mind. Jieun was the first one to break the eye contact.
"You are really fussy about a lot of things."
"How am I fussy-"
Jieun stared at him blankly. "Excuse me, sir. Please look at the food on the table?"
Jungkook bit his lower lip guiltily as he ruffled his hair with a small grin. "That's just-"
Jieun swallowed hard.
You make me want to give up everything for you.
"You're also bad at expressing your feelings," Jieun said instead. "You don't apologise easily, you don't tell people anything. You keep things to yourself, and get upset when others don't understand how you feel."
Jungkook frowned. "I mean, fine - that's kinda true."
Jieun stared at Jungkook for a while as he scrunched his nose and looked down at his bowl of chicken breasts, tofu and broccoli. He was so fussy, so bad at expressing himself, suspicious of people and didn't give people a good first impression at all.
In an outsider's perspective, Jungkook was probably the definition of a grumpy young man whose only asset was his face. That was Jieun too, before this. But Jieun had learnt so much more about him over these few weeks, that made her see him differently.
"Why do you keep talking about my negative points though-" Jungkook pouted as he munched on some peas. "Did you really not learn any new things about me? I didn't wanna admit this, but I learnt a lot of new things about you over these past week... and there are a handful of them that are good, you know?"
"Like what?"
"You know how to make healthy food taste good."
Jieun laughed. "What else?"
"You are pretty good at keeping the house clean."
"That's a given. What else?"
"You're keeping to my rules better than I expected."
"That's because I know you'll throw a fit if I don't."
Jungkook snarled.
Jieun laughed. "What else?"
"That's all for now-" Jungkook thought for a while. "Ah! And on top of that, I've been sleeping really well thanks to you, I guess. You're really good at your job, and you don't ask for much in return, I think that's wonderful."
Jieun's smile disappeared slowly as she was instantly reminded of the whole purpose she was here for.
"So... I've mentioned so many good things about you-" Jungkook sniffed. "But your comments about me have all been bad or neutral. Aren't you being too harsh right now? Don't you have anything to say to me?"
Jieun forced herself to look into Jungkook's big round eyes, that who sparkled as he looked at her. As she felt her heart hammering against her chest and her mind go completely blank, Jieun only had one thing to say.
Jeon Jungkook, I think I like you.
Jungkook frowned as he looked down into his bowl, looking slightly disappointed as he poked around at the food with his pair of chopsticks. "I guess there's really nothing... It's alright."
Jieun got up from the table abruptly. "It's getting late, Seokjin-oppa should be here any time. We better get prepared for work, Jungkook-ssi. Thanks for the meal."
Jungkook raised his eyebrows in surprise as Jieun left the table hurriedly, leaving the food on the table hardly even touched.

"Ah- Ah-" Jennie winced, clutching onto her head tightly as she sat up slowly. "It hurts-"
With her head spinning, Jennie tried her best to glance around the room she was in. It wasn't her room... it wasn't her house. It was someone else's room, she was on someone else's bed-
Someone else's bed?!
Jennie's eyes widened in horror as she looked under the blanket, before she finally let out a sigh of relief. Thank goodness, she didn't make that big of a mistake. Last she remembered, she was drinking and pouring out her heart to Yoongi in the living room over cans after cans of beer. The only thing she really had to worry about now was what she said back there - she was someone who basically spilled everything she knew whenever she was drunk, so that was risky.
But for now, all Jennie really wanted to do was to figure out the situation she was in. She was in someone's bedroom for sure. Based on the simple design, it looked like it was Yoongi's house. Wait a minute-
Did Yoongi really let her have his room?
Jennie smiled as she looked down at the sheets she was seated on. Yoongi? Let her? Sleep on his bed? In his room? In his house? Jennie pictured Yoongi picking her up from the floor and carrying her in his arms, before placing her down on the bed gently and tucking her in, like the gentleman he was. She found herself squealing like a little child as she thrashed around, her headache completely forgotten.
"Ahem-"
Jennie froze as she glanced at the door and noticed Yoongi standing there since who-knows-when, quietly watching her embarrass herself in his own house. In that moment, the embarrassment Jennie felt made her wish she could dig a hole to hide in it.
"Oh, Yoongi-ssi-" Jennie chuckled awkwardly, her face completely red as she quickly rose to her feet. "You're awake."
"Of course I'm awake-" Yoongi scoffed as he leaned against the door frame. "It's literally 1pm right now."
"Ah-" Jennie laughed awkwardly as she rubbed the back of her neck. She looked down at the floorboard as she repetitively dragged one foot forward and backward behind her nervously. "Wow, that's still early, huh."
"It's literally afternoon, Jennie-ssi-" Yoongi said bluntly, as he stared at her blankly. "Normal people would call this late."
"Doesn't matter-" Jennie brushed it aside as she took a seat on her bed. "I must have drunk a lot last night, didn't I?"
"A lot-" Yoongi contorted his face a little. "You were pretty much unstoppable."
"Oh, is that so?" Jennie laughed as she scratched her head. "I don't really remember. I didn't make any major mistakes, did I?"
Yoongi stared at her for a while, trying to determine her definition of 'major'. He eventually settled with a gentle head-shake. "No, don't worry. Nothing that major."
"Oh, thank God-" Jennie heaved a sigh of relief, before her eyes landed on the bed she was seated on once more. She glanced up at Yoongi with a sweet smile, trying her luck. "So... I... this room... you...?"
"My room-" Yoongi confirmed. "I don't have any guest rooms because I never have guests."
"Oh-" Jennie tried her best to hide her smile. "So... you let me have your room? You're so sweet for carrying me here-"
"Who said I carried you?" Yoongi raised his eyebrows and folded his arms. "You pushed your way past me into my room and insisted on sleeping here. I had no choice but to sleep on the couch."
Jennie turned red in the face for the second time in the span of five minutes. "Oh, is that so? I'm really sorry about that... I really blacked out so quick-"
"Well... you didn't black out that quick," Yoongi muttered under his breath.
Jennie frowned. "What do you mean?"
"You said a whole bunch of things."
"Like what?"
Yoongi hesitated. "Forget it if you don't remember. It's not like I have anyone to tell your secret to, anyway."
"Wait-" Jennie was getting more and more anxious by the minute. What exactly did she say to him? Did she say she loved him or something? What on earth? She must have looked so stupid- "Whatever I said, please don't take it too-"
"You and that guy who used to live next door..." Yoongi pursed his lips. "You called your relationship... fake."
Jennie froze. Of all the things she could have said in her drunken state, this was the worst of all.
