T.W: Alcohol
Janus's POV
At around one a.m. most people would be sleeping, I did not have such luck. For a while I had been waiting for my roommate Remus to get home, but once I realized that that was gonna take a while I tried and failed to fall asleep. So I went back out to the living room to see if anything good was on the one t.v. we had. If anyone were to ask if I had a crush on the human trash can I would deny it like the moon landing, but seeing Remus drunkenly stumble into the apartment got me worried. Sure, he could be a pretty heavy drinker on occasion, but this time just looked different.
Usually, he'd invite me or someone else with him to bring him home like his brother, but he was alone and very upset, "JaNuSsSSSs!" He slurs, flopping onto the couch, his eyes red-rimmed from crying.
"Uh, what's wrong?" I'm not good at this crap. As soon as I see tears, it becomes someone else's problem, but I can't exactly do that now.
"No one cares 'bout meh," He says, pouting like an upset child. Except this pout isn't joking, he actually looks really upset.
"Oh please, you've got a huge a$$ family that cares about you," I argue.
"Noooo, they all *hic* like Wroman betterrr," He replies, hugging a bottle of wine to his chest like a stuffed bear.
"Remus they're your family they do care, so stop being all depressed," Seeing him this out of it and upset was honestly concerning.
"Do you care 'bout me??" He asks. Sh!t.
If I lie and say no then he'll probably cry or something but even though he's probably black-out drunk he could still remember this, "Of course I care, I would've moved out a long time ago if I didn't."
"I looovveeee youuuuu," He slurs, sitting up and cuddling against me. I gently push him away, really not wanting to have to explain this in the morning, "What'shh wrong??"
"Remus, I think you should go to bed, I have a feeling sober you won't agree with everything you've said," I stand up, planning to go to my own room.
He pulls me back down and wraps his arms and legs around me in a koala hug, "Nope. Cuddles."
"Re-" I start trying to argue.
"You said you *hic* care and I love you, so cuddles," He reasons, not caring that he's still holding a bottle of wine.
"Remus I never said-" He looks up at me expectantly, "You're gonna wake up sober and not remember any of this, you realize that right?" I ask, exasperated.
"Well then let's do something I'll remember," He pauses and I swear he's gonna say- "Do you wanna be mah boyfriend??"
I sigh, "You're drunk Remus, you don't mean that."
"Yesh I do, do you not really care about me???" He tears up again and I panic.
"Yes I do, but I don't want to do anything about it while you're drunk," I essay quickly, hoping he understands.
"Then I'll have to ask you again when I'm shoberrr," He slurs, resting his head on my shoulder and falling asleep almost immediately. Needless to say I slept well that night.
A/N: First Demus, pretty short and sweet but oh well I had no real plan for what was gonna happen, just decided to write something with sad drunk Remus
