"Mom! I'm home!"
Once the door of my house was unlocked, the living room and the dining room were pitch black since the windows are tightly shut to prevent natural light from outside to go through.
My heart raised with a hint of caution that I'm already on my guard.
That's odd.
Those windows aren't completely shut like that when I left.
Something is amiss.
I hope a villain didn't sneak in here just to steal our money and held my mom hostage because I swear.
It's either I fight them or call my dad from his hero agency or his phone if he's not there.
"Mom?", I called out to her and activated my butterfly quirk when my wings started to form from my back, "Are you here? Why are the windows completely shut? Are you experimenting again with your DIY stuff-".
"...now, Nejire!"
"M-Mirio! She might hear you!"
Huh?
Those voices, I think they belong to-
*CLICK*
The lights of the living room are all brightening up the room and standing in the middle of the room were Mirio and Nejire wearing party hats.
Not only that, I can see a banner attached on the wall that says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, (Y/N)!" and three balloons on each side of the banner.
"SURPRISE, (Y/N)!", both of them said at the same time before they brought out the party popper and opened it just to bring out the confetti.
Wait, that's odd.
Someone is missing from those two.
My heart raised when something was being attached on my head and I felt two arms wrapped around my waist.
"H-Happy Birthday, Butterfly"
I automatically smiled when I heard the adorably shy voice and when I looked back, I can see Amajiki wearing a party hat too with a blush on his cheeks.
"My goodness, you guys scared me! Hahaha, but thank you for this!", I said before I completely hugged my elf-eared boyfriend, "This is a surprise indeed! You got me real good".
"Really? Then that means our mission is accomplished!", Nejire replied and clapped, "We did it guys!".
Amajiki nodded with a smile while Mirio grinned before giving Nejire a high five.
"We were pretty careful on preparing this for you, (Y/N). Chances of you finding out is...15 percent? Hahaha!", Mirio said and laughed before he approached me and ruffle my hair, "We really wanted to make your day special".
I laughed along with the blond boy while Nejire brought out the birthday cake from the refrigerator.
"A-About your mom, she actually let us in the m-moment we arrived here before she left to shop a-at the mall", Amajiki said and smiled shyly at me, "She said she's g-going to buy your birthday gift with your dad".
Oh, that's why.
Now wonder she was acting a bit suspicious this morning.
"Oh, wait. I'm not suppose to t-t-that, a-am I-"
"OKAY, (Y/N)~!! TIME TO BLOW THE CANDLES~!!"
Amajiki stopped talking when Mirio called our attention with a bright grin on his face.
"Hahahaha!! Okay...dad", I said and joked before laughing, "Come on, Tama-kun~!".
The indigo haired boy nodded before he hugged my arm gently and followed me suit.
I went to the middle of the living room where the banner is attached on the wall and where the cake was laid with candles that are already lit.
"(Y-Y/N), you don't m-m-mind if I hug you l-like this while we sing happy birthday, r-right?", Amajiki asked me shyly before his cheeks started to glow pink.
I giggled and playfully kissed his cheek before replying, "Pfft, of course! Tamaki, don't worry! I love your arm hugs and it's making my celebration complete too!".
He smiled with relief after he listened to my response which in returned tighten the hug on my arm before he got the courage to kiss my cheek.
"...t-thank you, Butterfly. I love you...", was all he said shyly before he looked at the lit candles.
In sync, the three of them started singing happy birthday to me and they even clapped for me as well into the beat.
Once they finished singing the song, Mirio all of a sudden started rapping the birthday song which made us laugh but Nejire told him to finish it right away so I can blow the candles and make a wish.
Finally, when he finished his birthday rap with a finishing pose (A/N: *ahem* Jojo pose, HAHA // SLAPPED), I quietly made my wish and gently blew the candles.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, (Y/N)!", they all said in sync and clapped - with the exception of Amajiki since he's hugging my arm so instead, he kissed my cheek again shyly.
...
Time passed a bit and my surprise party with these three has been a fantastic time.
We ate the birthday cake which is actually baked by Amajiki himself, Mirio telling his jokes and funny stories, Nejire giving me beauty tips and braided my hair then finally, it's present time.
Mirio gave me a fit watch that track your steps, heartbeat, and even has a timer too!
Nejire gave me a cute a dress to wear for my dates with Amajiki. Supportive as always.
Then as for Amajiki...
"(Y/N)! We'll just visit the nearby grocery store in our neighborhood! We forgot to buy some ice cream, right, Nejire?", Mirio said and nudged her shoulder.
"Y-Yeah, yeah! You're absolutely right! We'll be back guys!", Nejire said and laughed before she took the blond boy towards the front door.
With that, Mirio slammed the door with an excited look on his face and I am now alone once again with Amajiki.
Yep, I know where this is going since I'm already used to their suspicious but also supportive gestures.
"This reminds me of the time we surprised you, Tama-kun. Hahaha, good times", I said and smiled.
"Y-Yeah, I have the same thought but d-don't fret! Nejire was thinking that all of us should go to an amusement p-park for your birthday but I just hope we could g-g-get the tickets early", Amajiki replied and twiddled his fingers shyly, "O-Or...".
He gently took my hand and squeezed it before he continued, "W-What if we go somewhere together n-next year? Y-You know...j-j-just the...two of us? Like in...umm...in Osaka! Y-Yeah!".
I blushed just listening to his sudden suggestions that I ended up smiling like a dork and giving him a big hug.
"I would love that!", I replied and giggled, "Especially the Osaka trip! That would be a memorable birthday for me!".
"R-Really? O-O-Okay then! T-Then it's settled! I m-mean, my parents are very supportive so t-they would agree to us going on a t-trip like that s-so we can s-spend time with each other", Amajiki replied shyly and smiled excitedly but suddenly, he gasped, "O-O-OH! R-Right, y-your birthday gift! U-Um...(Y/N)? C-Can you...close your eyes?".
Since I can't say to his cute and shy gesture, I obeyed and closed my eyes as I patiently waited.
"Can you give me a hint on what it is? Hehe", I asked and laughed.
"No, haha! I-I-I don't w-want to spoil the surprise", Amajiki replied and laughed shyly.
After a few seconds, I can feel his hands wrapped around my waist and I can feel his lips brushing against mine.
My heart leaped from the contact and had the feeling of opening my eyes but I had to keep them closed for his sake.
"Y-You can...open them now..."
Smiling with excitement, I opened my eyes and saw Amajiki with a ribbon wrapped around his head like he's saying "I'm the gift!" and he's holding a purple velvet box.
"T-Ta da! Hahaha", Amajiki said and blushed brightly, "I p-present to you two g-gifts".
He opened the purple velvet box and it revealed a silver butterfly brooch with a purple jewel on the center.
"W-Woah! T-This looks beautiful, Tamaki!", I said and smiled widely before I gently took the brooch out of the box, "Thank you so much for this! I love it!".
"I-I'm glad!", Amajiki said and smiled shyly, "A-A-And...for...umm...for your s-second gift...it's...i-it's...me".
He bit his lower lip and his face is already completely flushed but he didn't take his eyes off me.
"T-T-This was n-not a gift s-suggestion f-from Mirio b-but...it w-was my idea, Butterfly. I-In fact, I'm the gift t-that you c-cherish and l-love the most i-in your life, right?", Amajiki said and caressed one of my hands, "S-So t-that's why I....I g-gathered the c-courage to do t-this thing for you because...I love you so much a-and I want o-our r-relationship to be s-special". (A/N: YOU MAKE ME FEEL SPECIAL // SLAPPED - oh right, I did this in the Midoriya version, oops xD // SLAPPED AGAIN)
"Tamaki...", I said and I can feel my eyes getting watery from his sweet and angelic words, "I don't know what to say because...I'm really speechless right now, hahaha! I wasn't expecting that really but...I'm very happy!
I gave him a big hug and continued, "Thank you for making our relationship special, Tama-kun. Being with you in my life is one of the most amazing things that I wouldn't forget and you're the reason of my happiness".
"S-S-Same here!", Amajiki replied and cupped my face, "Y...Y-You're the reason of my happiness too! S-So...I'm happy that w-we've met and I-I'm...I'm happy that you chose me as your boyfriend. I don't know i-i-if I sound like a broken record r-right now b-but I d-don't care. I-I want to say it as m-much as I want to b-because I...I love you! I love you so much, Butterfly".
With that, he leaned to kiss my lips with a bit of confidence which I happily obliged to kiss him back.
He gently caressed my cheeks as we kissed while I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"H-Happy birthday again, (Y/N)", Amajiki said and playfully kissed my lips while giggling shyly, "I w-will always love you n-no matter what!".
