ARIANA'S POV
"How'd you get the jar down?" I ask Reina as she walks into my room with the jar of cookies in her hand
"Um, Jim. He helped me get it down" she says taking a cookie from the jar
"Oh, I see you guys are getting along just fine"
"Yeah. He's really nice"
"And cute"
"Don't tell me you're crushing on my brother Reina"
"Do you want me to?" She asks smiling devilishly
"Seriously Reina. You do realise that none of us really know much about him, not even me who is he's sister"
"Yeah I know. Don't worry Ariana, I'm not gonna date him. At least not now" she says smiling and then I throw a pillow at her and we both burst into laughter
"Oh it's on" she says before picking up another pillow from my bed and then we begin a pillow fight. God I missed hanging out with Reina, she's always so much fun.
Sometimes I feel bad for putting them second all the time.

"God it's been so long since I laughed so hard" Reina says crashing on my bed after about 30minutes of pillow fighting
"You can say that again. This period hasn't been our best"
"Yeah. Being seniors, preparing for our final exams and applying for colleges"
"I haven't written any applications for college yet. Ughhhhh... We've got a lot of work to do don't we?"
"Yeah we do girl. I can't wait for this to be over"
"Me neither"
"Soooooo..." She begins cleaning invincible dirt from her nails "how's Jake?"
"He's fine girl. I never really thought I was gonna be happy again after we broke up, but now I'm truly happy after a lot of pain"
"I'm happy for the both of you" she says trying to smile but she's not successful
"Reina what's wrong? Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Its just all the relationships I've been in haven't been so great you know. I don't think any of those despicable guys actually loved me more than I loved them"
"Oh Reina. Don't worry, everything will be fine" I say giving her a reassuring smile and she smiles back
"Well we have two options for tonight" I say sitting up "either we study now and go to sleep or we study now then go downstairs to watch a movie or do something else"
"You are crazy if you think that I came Here to study and not have fun along the way Ariana. I'm sure there's no need for me to answer because we both know the answer to that question. Common girl, we hardly spend time together these days, let's take advantage of the moment and just have fun"
"Fine we'll watch a movie after but it'll take the grace of God for me to not fall asleep because I'm so tired right now. I don't even know if I'll be able to study" I say laying back down on my bed in a fit to prove my point
"I'll kill you"
"Ohhhhh I'm scared" I say feigning a terrified face
"Common go get your calculus textbook. We'll start from there" she says getting hers out of her back pack

"So when you multiply the both of them and divide my 2, you'll get your answer. Please tell me you finally understand" Reina says after explaining a very complicated formula for me
"I guess so. Arrgh I just want to be done with high school. I'm tired"
"Then you have to study this things seriously girl. Because if you fail calculus one more time, you'd be signed up for summer school and I know you don't want that"
"Of course I don't. I'll try my best"
We had already spent about an hour studying calculus and I was already feeling sleepy but Reina would have none of that.
"Reina I'm tired, please let's stop"
"Okay. Let's attempt one more question and then we'd call it a night and we'll go see a movie"
"I just wanna sleep"
"Okay, we'll attempt the question and then I'll go watch a movie while you sleep"
"Sounds great. Common what's the question" I say trying to stay awake
She opens her textbook and we spot a question that seems impossible to solve but Reina insists on solving it but we're both clueless
"Reina give up. Its impossible and I don't plan on stressing myself anymore tonight"
"No girl. We have to know this thing"
"Okay mark it. Maybe we'll ask for help in school tomorrow"
"I have a better idea" she says smiling and then it hits me
"No Reina. I'd rather attempt it by myself"
"Which is impossible"
"How are you sure he even knows calculus huh?"
"How are you sure he doesn't?"
"Reina" I say giving her a stern look
"Don't look at me like that. Its for our own good"
"Yeah. That's why we can ask for help in school"
"Why wait till tomorrow when you can get the answer right now. Common girl, why you against it"
I really don't know. But deep down, I don't want my friends to get close to Jim.
"Ugh fine. Go ask him"
"You're coming along. I don't think I'll be able to spend another 30mins explaining just one question to you. We should learn it together"
"Fine"
"Okay. I'll go get him"
"Whatever"
JAKE'S POV
I was just about to turn off the lights and go to bed when I heard a light knock on my door. What could Ariana want from me by this time, or anytime at all
"Who's there?"
"Um its me Reina, can I come in?"
"Yeah. The door is open"
"Um are you busy?" She asks observing my room
"Not really. Was just about to go to bed"
"Oh. Okay, I guess I'll just go"
"At least tell me why you're here"
"Was just wondering if you could help Ari and I solve a calculus question. But since you're ready to sleep, its okay. We'll find a solution tomorrow"
"Its fine Reina. I can help"
"Really? Its not a problem?"
"No. I'm not really sleepy. Just had nothing to do so I decided to try and fall asleep"
"Oh okay. Common let's go"
"What took you so long" Ariana asked Reina immediately she walked into the room
"Ari. I wasn't gone for up to 2minutes, can you calm down?"
"Ugh sorry"
"Okay so where's the question" I say taking a seat on the floor next to their books
They do the same and we begin. Thankfully, I'm able to solve the question.
"Remember that 0 multiplied by any number is also 0. So when you add everything and divide by 2, its 24. And that's the final answer. Hope you understand"
"Wow Jim. Now that you've explained it, it doesn't seem difficult one bit" Reina says smiling
"Thanks. How about you Ariana. You get it right?"
"Oh Ariana. She fell asleep" Reina says laughing
"I'll help her to her bed" I say getting up
"Okay. I'll pick this books up"
"And to think we planned to watch a movie after studying"
"Oh. Seems my sister is pretty lazy. Well if you don't mind, I can watch the movie with you"
"Of course I don't. It'll be weird watching a movie on my own in someone else's house right?. Common, let's go"
"So any movie suggestion's?"
"I want to watch teen romance. How about After or the kissing booth"
"Ugh I was hoping we'd watch a horror movie. Maybe the conjuring"
"I don't like horror movies Jim. They scare the fuck out of me"
"Okay. The kissing booth it is"
"Thank you"
"I'll set the movie and go get some blankets okay?"
"Cool".
As I said, I set the movie and then I went to get blanket's
" I'm back"
"Right on time. Its starting"
"I'm not really a fan of romance movies though"
"Well you have no choice"

"Wow, she actually ran into the boys bathroom" Reina said laughing at a Character, Elle, who after having having a paint bath with her best friend Lee accidentally ran into the boys bathroom which was full of guys.
"She's crazy" I say trying to humour her. But I really wasn't enjoying the movie.
"They actually set up a kissing booth" she said smiling.
"This is just crazy"
"OMG she kissed Noah!" She yelled hysterically grabbing me and then she let go of me realising how hyper she was "sorry"
"You really like this movie huh?"
"Of course! Its amazing"
"Sure it is"

"So she's really not going to give him a chance" reina said letting tears roll down her cheeks all because Elle turned Noah down in front of the whole school during prom"
"Is that why you're crying?"
"Isn't it reason enough? She's making the poor guy suffer"
"You're such a drama queen huh?"
"Its so sad!" She pouts "Lee is just stopping the both of them from living out their love story"
"Yeah he is"
"Aw I just knew it! I knew they where going to end up together. True love always wins huh? I'm so happy"
"Its obvious. That's why you're crying right now"
"Its tears of joy Jim. Their love story is amazing"
"The movie isn't even over yet"
"But I know it'll end well"
"Okay fine"

"Wait so he actually left without turning back to look at her"
"But that's what she wanted"
"But still"
"You're crying again Reina"
"Its such a sad ending"
"I told you, didn't I?"
"Well I didn't expect it to end like this. What if they don't last?"
"Well its just a movie"
"I'm so sad right now"
"Reina its just a movie"
"Whatever"
"Common, let's go to bed" I say reaching for the remote to turn off the TV but she does the same and we grab the remote at same time and burst into laughter
"You're so pretty when you laugh" I blurt out without thinking
"Um thank you" she says looking straight into my eyes
And then there's this awkward silence and as expected, we lean in for a few seconds and smash our lips together.
