Jaimi and Ayesha are sitting in the living room after they eat dinner and clean up. They're talking about random things when Jaivardhan uncle and Jaya aunty sit with them. The two put an end to the topic they were discussing and focus their attention to uncle and aunty.
Jaivardhan: Jaimi, hame tumase kuchh baat karanee hai.
Jaimi: Jee boliye!
Jaya: Tumhe Darshan kaisa laga?
Jaimi: Matalab?
Jaivardhan: Tumhe vah pasand aaya? Ham baat aage badhaee?
Jaimi: Uh... mein usase ek baar hee milee hoon. Ek baar mein hee kaise bataoon ki vah mujhe kaise laga!
Jaya: Vah bahut hee achchha ladaka hai, tumhe vah achchha laga hai?
Jaimi: Vah achchha hai par mein ek baar mein kaise kah doon ki usake saath mujhe apanee pooree life gujaar naee hai ya nahin!
Jaivardhan: Vah bahut hee achchha ladaka hain! Vah tumhaare pooree zindagee khyaal rakhega.
Jaya: Ek ladakee ko kya chaahie, ek aisa parter jo aapaka khyaal rakhega, aapake har decision mein supoort karega aur aapase pyaar karega. Darshan vahee ladaka hai!
Ayesha: Jaimi, Darshan sir bahut hee achchhe hai! You won't ever regret choosing him.
Jaimi: Aap sab mujhe khud se bhee jyaada jaanate hai aur mere baare mein jo bhi sochenge achchha hee sochenge so whatever you all decide, I'm up for it!
Jaya: Tumane hamaaree khvaahish pooree karadee. Congratulations! Darshan tumhara hamesha khayaal rakhega.
Jaivardhan: Main Rajendra se baat karata hoon vo bahut khush hoga.
Ayesha: Congrats Baby!
Jaimi rolls her eyes at Ayesha.
Ayesha: You're going to be married! I'm so happy for you.
Jaivardhan uncle and Jaya aunty are looking so happy. Jaimi looks at them and a smile appears on her face.
Jaimi: Uncle, hum Meera se milane ke lie riverfront ja rahe hai.
Jaivardhan: Thik hai! Tum dono apana khyaal rakhana.
Jaimi/Ayesha: Jee!
Jaimi and Ayesha walk to the riverfront. They meet up with Meera there.
On the other hand, Darshan, Jyugal, and Rajendra Uncle are sitting in the living room at Darshan's house.
RU: Darshan tumhe Jaimi kaisee lagi?
Darshan: Woh acchi hai!
RU: Kya hum baat aage badhaaye?
Darshan: Pata nahi!
RU: Tumhe woh acchi lagi hai toh baat aage badhaane mein kya harz hai?
Darshan: Pappa mein usse ek baar hi mila hoon aur ek baar mein kaise decide karu ki uske saath mujhe apni puri life guzaar ni hai ya nahi.
RU: Tum mujhe trust karate ho?
Darshan: Of course Pappa!
RU: Jaimi tumhaare lie best hai! Vah tumhe hamesha khush rakhengee aur tumhaara pooree life saath degee.
Darshan: Pappa aap jo bhee phaisala lenge vah hee final hoga.
RU: Mein yah khushakhabaree Jaivardhan ko sunaata hoon. Vah bahut hee khush hoga. Tumane mujhe bahut badee khushee dee hai aaj.
Jyugal: Congrats bro!
Darshan gave them a faint smile.
Darshan: Pappa, mein aur Jyugal riverfront ghoom ke aate hain.
RU: Thik hai! Come back soon.
Darshan: Yeah!
Darshan and Jyugal walk to the riverfront. They sit on the riverbank and soak in the night view of the river.
Jyugal: Darshan, tumhe pata hain na ki tumane usase shaadee karane ke lie haan kehadee hain?
Darshan: Haan pata hain!
Jyugal: Main poochh sakata hoon kee yah sudden change tumhaare andar kaha se aaya?
Darshan: Tumhe toh pata hee hai kee mein hamesha apane manan kee karata hoon aur pappa kee baat kabhee nahin manta.
Jyugal: Mujhase achchha vah kaun jaanata hoga? Toh usaka kya?
Darshan: Pappa ko Jaimi bahut pasand hai aur unako vah mere lie best lagee toh mainne haan kah diya kyukee vah mere baare mein kabhee bhoora toh sochenge nahin.
Jyugal: Uncle ko pasand aa gaee ya tujhe?
Darshan looks away with a neutral expression but his face turns red. The two converse about some things.
On the other hand, Jaimi and Ayesha are sitting on the riverbank. Meera walks to them and sits beside Jaimi who is facing Ayesha. Meera hugs Jaimi from behind. She lets go of Jaimi after a minute and Jaimi sits with her back against the railing so she can see both of them.
Meera: Congratulations! Finally, ab mein group mein aur Neel akelee nahin hain jinakee shaadi ho rahi hai. I'm so happy for you and jealous!
Jaimi: Jealous kyu?
Meera: Of course I'll be jealous, teri shaadi 'The Darshan Raval' se ho rahi hai!
Jaimi: Toh? Tujhe yaad dila doon ki vah bhee ek insaan hee hai aur teri shaddi bhee ek insaan jisaka naam Neel hai usee se ho rahee hai kisi alien se nahi.
Meera: Vah kitana bada star hai aur usake laakhon fans hai.
Jaimi: So what? He's still a normal human being! Mujhe toh pata bhee nahin tha ki vah ek star hai. Usane hee mujhe bataaya tha jab mein usako puchha kee aap kya karate hai.
Ayesha: She forget that you are Jaimi Patel!
Jaimi: Ab iska kya matlab hua?
Ayesha: You don't care about anything! Darshan, Bill Gates bhi hota na toh bhi isko koi farak nahi padta because as she says, she's an independent woman.
Jaimi: Is mein koee galat baat nahin hai! Mujhe agar money aur fame chahiye toh mujhe koi star se shaadi karne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. I can earn both money and fame on my own!
Meera: And I love that about you!
Ayesha: Me too!
The two give Jaimi a tight hug. Jaimi's phone rings and the two let her go. Jaimi sees the caller id and answers the call. Ayesha takes the call from her hand and puts it on the speaker.
Jaimi: Ji kahiye!
Jaya: Tumhaare lie ek good news hai!
Jaimi: Kya?
Jaivardhan: Tumhaara aur darshan ka kal shaam ko roka hai aur do hafto ke baad shaadi.
Jaimi: Kya? (She says with the most shocked expression and the 'kya' came out as a scream)
Jaya: Tum dono jaldi ghar aa jaana na bahot saari taiyaari karni hai.
Jaimi: Ji!
Jaya ends the call. Jaimi slaps her forehead with her left hand. Ayesha and Meera are excited like a little child.
Meera: Kya baat hai? Tum mere se pehle shaadi kar rahi ho!
Ayesha: Congratulations once again!
Jaimi: Mujhe laga thoda time hoga ek dusre ko jaanane ke liye par yaha toh do hafto mein shaadi ho rahi hai.
Meera: Accha hai na!
Ayesha: Tum dono ek dusre ko shaadi ke baad jaan lena. Vah toh tumhen raanee bana ke rakhega!
Jaimi: Pata nahi! Sab kuchh itanee jaldee hoga mujhe pata nahin tha.
Meera: Itna tension kya le rahi hai? Jo bhi hoga woh sahi hoga!
Jaimi: I hope!
They sit there and talk about things.
On the other side, Darshan and Jyugal are chatting about random topics when Darshan's phone rings. He looks at the called id and answers the call.
Darshan: Haa Pappa!
RU: Mainne yah kahane ke lie phone kiya kee kal shaam ko tumhaara aur jaimee ka roka hai aur do haphton ke baad tum donon kee shaadi hai.
Darshan: Kya? Itanee jaldee kya hai in sab kee?
RU: Tum dono ki kundli pandit ji ko dekhi thi kuch din pehle aur unhone kaha tha ki do hafto ke baad sabse shubh muhurat hai shaadi ke liye, phir do saal tak koi muhurat nahi hai!
Darshan: Par Pappa...
RU: Tum dono jaldi se ghar aa jaana! Tumhare uncle, aunty, aur cousins kal shaam aane waale hai toh bahot saari taiyaariyaan karni hai.
Darshan: Par...
RU: Bye! Mujhe ek phone karna hai.
Rajendra Uncle cuts the call. Darshan looks at Jyugal with a mix of serious, nervous, and scared expression on his face.
Jyugal: Kya hua?
Darshan: Pappa ne kaha ki kal shaam ko roka hai aur do hafto ke baad shaadi hai!
Jyugal: Congrats man!
Darshan: What congrats? Mujhe darr lag raha hai aur tu khush ho raha hain?
Jyugal: Kyu darr raha hai? Jo bhi hoga woh thik hi hoga!
Darshan: Kya thik hoga? Mein toh usse acchi tarah jaanta bhi nahi hoon!
Jyugal: Aaj kal aapko kisi ko jaanana hai toh aap unka social media platform or Instagram check karo!
Darshan: Mujhe uska Instagram pata nahi hai aur Jaimi Patel naam ki toh kitni ladkiya hogi.
Jyugal: Ruk! Mein Ayesha ke friends dekhta hoon usmein Jaimi hogi.
Darshan: You're a genius!
Jyugal: Pata hai!
Jyugal finds Jaimi's account. He opens it and briefly scrolls through it before showing it to Jaimi.
Jyugal: Darshan tujhe pata tha ki Jaimi aur Ayesha are friends with the Maliks, Noon's, and Puri's.
Darshan: Kya bol raha hai?
Jyugal: Yeh dekh! Jaimi aur Ayesha ki pictures with Noon's, they own Noon Biotec. Yeh dekh Jaimi aur Ayesha unke family photo mein hai aur Noon's Jaimi aur Ayesha ko follow bhi karte hai. Phir woh tujhe yaad hai hum Rohit Puri, woh Delhi mein builder hai, aur uski wife Setu Puri, that journalist. Unki bhi photo hai Jaimi aur Ayesha ke saath aur woh bhi in dono ko follow karte hai.
Darshan: Bahot jaan pehchan hai uski sab ke saath!
Jyugal: Woh dono Armaan aur Amaal Malik ki bhi friends hai. Dekh woh sab Maldives holidays pe gae the tab ki pictures.
Jyugal hands his phone to Darshan who scrolls through Jaimi's Instagram. He sees that Jaimi likes to travel a lot as there were a lot of different locations in her pictures.
On the other hand, Meera says bye to Jaimi, and Ayesha then leaves for her house. Jaimi and Ayesha start to walk along the river and after a few minutes of walking they spot Jyugal and Darshan. Jyugal sees them as well and gets up. He taps on Darshan and points towards the girls. The two walk to the girls who are a few feet away from them.
Jyugal/Darshan: Hi!
Jaimi/Ayesha: Hi!
Jyugal: Tum dono yaha kya kar rahi ho?
Ayesha: Hamari ek friend se milne aaye the!
Jyugal: Ok!
Darshan and Jaimi are looking at each other with a blank expression. Ayesha and Jyugal look at the two who you can say are lost in each other's eyes. Ayesha looks at Jyugal who winks at her.
Jyugal: Darshan, woh mujhe bhookh lagi hai toh Mein kha ke aata hoon.
Ayesha: Mein bhi! Tum dono ek dusre se tab tak baat karo.
Darshan/Jaimi: Par...
Before Jaimi and Darshan could say anything, they left. Ayesha and Jyugal did a speed walk and went away from them. Darshan looks at Jaimi for a second and the two start walking.
Darshan: Um... woh... tumhe pata hai ki humara roka kal shaam ko hai?
Jaimi: Haa! Woh kuch der pehle hi Uncle Aunty Ka phone aaya tha aur unhone bataya.
Darshan: Ok!
They keep walking and there's a weird silence in the air.
Jaimi: Aapko nahi lagata ki yeh sab bahot jaldee ho raha hai?
Darshan: Haa par hum ab kar bhi kya sakhte hai.
Jaimi: Sahi Kaha!
Darshan: Thand kuch zyada hi nahi hai aaj?
Jaimi: Mein toh use to hogae hoon!
Darshan: Kaise?
Jaimi: Mein do saal Boston mein rahi thi!
Darshan: Yeah. Tumne mujhse yeh kaha tha! It slipped out of my mind.
Jaimi: Mujhe aapse kuch baat karni hai, if you don't mind.
Darshan: Ji kahiye!
Jaimi: Mujhe Mumbai mein ek bahot acchi job mili hai jiska interview kal hi tha aur mujhe uss company mein as a business head or you can say a CEO ki position pe job mili hai.
Darshan: That's nice. Congrats for that!
Jaimi: Thank you! Um... woh... mein yeh kehna chahati thi ki mein shaadi ke baad bhi kaam karna chahati hoon.
Darshan: Ok. Aapko mujhse poonch ne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai! Yeh aapki life hai and what you do should be your sole decision.
Jaimi: And one more thing!
Darshan: Hmm...
Jaimi: Mein shaadi ke baad bhi apna surname change nahi karungi!
Darshan: As I've said, yeh aapka decision hai. Mujhse aapko kisi cheez ke liye puchne ki zaroorat nahi hai.
Jaimi: Thank you for understanding! I just wanted to clear everything up taki shaadi ke baad koi problems na ho.
Darshan: Thik hai par aapko mujhe apne kisi bhi decision ke liye puchne ki zaroorat nahi hai! I know ki app ek independent woman hai aur aapko apne decisions Lena khud hi pasand hoga.
Jaimi: Ji! Thank you once again.
Darshan: No need for that.
The two walk for a few minutes in silence admiring the view around them. They meet up with Ayesha and Jyugal. They all go home.

Who else wants to be independent woman in the future? I would personally love to be one so I can do whatever I want to without having to answer people other than my parents. I found this gesture of Darshan very sweet and supportive. Did anyone else think that as well?
