61| Tipsy
Jungkook's POV
I put the phone down, feeling a sharp pain in my chest.
I realised that if this investigation continued any further, I would have to finally let go.
I left the cafè and headed back to the factory.
As I entered, I caught a glimpse of Chaeyoung and Jimin sleeping in a corner.
I turned over to the other side and saw Lisa napping near the side wall, crouched with her head on her knees.
I walked over to her and bent down to her height on the floor.
She looked pale and was shivering.
I put my hand on her bare arm. It was freezing.
I removed the coat I was wearing and wrapped it around her.
I caught myself staring at her face, which was covered by strands of hair.
I gently used my finger to move the pieces of hair behind her ear.
She started to grumble lightly in her sleep.
"Water..." I heard.
I got up and grabbed a water bottle from the stuff we bought and lightly shook her to wake her up.
As I did, she started to lean to one side, as though she was about to fall over.
Realising she wasn't conscious, I panicked and scooted to one side so she fell on my lap.
"Lisa shii?" I called out.
She was not responding.
I poured some water into my fingers and sprinkled it on her face.
"Lisa shii?" I called out again, and this time, I saw her flinch.
Soon, she opened her eyes slowly.
I helped her to get up and fed her some water.
"You scared me there... Are you okay?" I asked, as she held her head.
"Yeah, just dehydrated.." she replied.
"Lisa yah? Jungkook shii?" Chaeyoung was awake and standing behind us, with Jimin at the back.
"We got some supplies and food. Today's the last day we can enjoy this silence and calmness. The case is having a formal investigation tomorrow." I said, pointing to the bag of stuff we bought.
"Then let's have the most fun we've ever had. Before chaos takes over." Chaeyoung said, hugging Lisa.
"For this one day, let's forget anything ever happened... and just... hang out. As friends." She continued.
Lisa agreed. I nodded.
Little did they know, chaos was just the beginning. When the real truth comes out, I may never see Chaeyoung again. I may never see... Lisa again... But it has to be done.
I smiled as I gestured a drink in my hand.
"Soju anyone? On me." I asked, as I watched Chaeyoung and Lisa raise their hands.
I went over to the supermarket and got 4 bottles of soju and some kimchi for sides.
We sat in a circle formation as I laid all the snacks and alcohol in the middle.
We all poured a glass and held it up.
"A toast to good times. And staying alive." Park Jimin finally spoke.
"Cheers." We said in unison as we downed the alcohol.
Before we knew it, we were drunk and laughing at stupid jokes, spewing dark humour and occasional mental breakdowns.
As I was having a good time, the fears of chaos was masking me.
We had a good dinner as I tried my best to forget things and have fun.
Even Jimin was laughing a little, and was seemingly happy.
"Okay guys we gotta go sleep. It's gonna be a shit day tomorrow." I said, breaking the mood.
"Yeah you're right. I need energy for that bullshit. But this day, I'll never forget. I love y'all. I mean it." Chaeyouung blurted.
"Me too." Lisa joined.
We dispersed to different corners, and tried to sleep in the cold and dark room.
I tried to make myself comfortable as I slept, but I was drunk beyond my limits.
My head was spinning and I was in some kind of trippy state.
I closed my eyes for a good few minutes, trying to sleep.
Suddenly I felt a breath on my face. I opened my eyes.
It was Lisa.
Her face was inches from mine.
Her eyes were half closed and a smug sloppy smile was on her lips.
She was drunk too.
She laughed breathlessly.
"You're really beautiful." She said, touching my hair as she did.
I felt my ears start to turn red.
She had locked me in a corner.
Still in a trippy state, I couldn't control my movements and another part of me was taking over.
I stared at her eyes.
I could feel my hands moving. I soon cupped her face with both my hands.
I wasn't gonna lie. She was stunning. Her hair, her eyes, her smile... everything. I wanted... to kiss her...
I pulled her face closer, until our lips were lips were touching.
I gave it a second, waiting for her to continue.
She stared into my eyes, then closed them.
Taking the hint, I parted my lips and crashed into hers.
She leaned onto me, kissing deeper.
I couldn't feel my legs.
I finally pulled away, breathless.
Then, I realised what the hell I was doing.
Shit what the hell... she's drunk and I just...
I quickly stopped and tried to gently move her aside.
She was blabbering random words. I let her sleep in that area and covered her with my coat.
I then moved over to the other corner to sleep.
Thank gosh that didn't escalate. I don't know how to deal with that in the morning though.
My face was still heated from that.
But I didn't regret doing it... it probably was the last I'll ever be able to do that...
Chaeyoung's POV
We went to separate corners to sleep for the night.
I went over to sit beside Jimin.
"Angel? Why did yo-" I cut him off. "Did you really think I'd sleep that far away from you?" I said, as a hiccup escaped my mouth.
"You sound drunk." He said.
"I'm not!" I was lying. I was pretty tipsy.
"I'm never gonna stay that far away from you. " I continued.
He chuckled. "Funny."
I scooted over to sit beside him.
Then I realised... we were sitting really close.. and chances are.... he was also drunk. I was scared... but also okay with what was probably gonna happen.
I felt my face turning really red.
"So.... how did you-" I was throwing a question to break the tension but he stopped me.
"I think you should go back to your corner, angel. You're drunk."
I didn't move. I shook my head.
He turned to face me.
"If you stay here any longer I might..." he said, his face close to mine.
"You might what?" I asked. "Show me."
"Angel don't do this." He said, cupping my face.
I licked my lip.
"Kiss me. Like you wished you could for all those years." I said, holding his hand which was cupping my face.
He paused for a few seconds, then he gently pecked my lips, bending my head back across his arm.
It was gentle, leaving me tingly. Surprised that he had stopped, I tried to meet his lips again, but he put a finger on mine.
"Angel..." he whispered, making a chill run down my spine.
"You're really drunk." He continued, pulling me into what looked like a hug.
Then he scooped me off the floor and walked over to the other corner, and laid me down.
I felt my eyes closing.
Maybe I was too drunk.
What the heck was I thinking?
