"This takes too long."
Aiden could only nod in agreement, not really paying attention to his wife's notifications. His eyes are practically glued on her entrancing form surrounded by an air of grace; comely blue eyes patiently waiting for the unleashing of the amazing future scenery the bright and sunny kingdom keeps babbling about.
Their tidy pine wood boat slightly swayed as the King of Arendelle made a minor movement, his arms growing a bit numb because he's been holding their rowing oars for an event less hour now. The white sleeves of his shirt are currently rolled up to his elbows, since they tend to slide down which causes a great inconvenience.
The calm, unrushed pace of Aiden's rowing rippled the water leisurely, the creasy reflection of his wife's stunning figure mirrored by the tranquil waters alongside their roomy sea vessel.
It was Eugene and Rapunzel themselves who suggested for the fire king and the ice queen to take a relaxing, evening cruise. They were quick to send the pair off to the docks, right after the former thief eagerly stuffed a yet to be used lantern in Aiden's arms.
He couldn't help but admire the pretty blue rose tucked behind Elsa's ear. She must've picked it from the Royal Gardens before they were unashamedly swept in the privacy of their lone, sailing boat. It complimented her and it felt appealing to the eye.
And then her dress—oh greek gods. She looked beautiful, beyond compare. He could've sworn she'd rock any color she would sport. But somehow, either white or blue stands out among the rest in the palette.
Her dress looked like its fabric is made out of blankets of unsullied frost united in one layer, elegant patterns of snowflakes serving as the design on the mid-calf length skirt. Her attire of course accompanied by a pair of white stilettos.
Gawking at her for too long makes him feel like he looks too shabby. He doesn't know why he always instinctively wear this usual white shirt and high waisted, tight black trousers, dressing up just didn't seem to ring any bells for him.
They've been in silence since they set sail, and unpleasantly, he's speechless and stupefied he can't think of a word to utter. The Queen of Arendelle seemed like she's enjoying the foreign environment anyway, so there's no ice breaking now-
"Look, lover! It's starting!"
Mystified by the way she pointed her index finger towards the coast; his wife is indeed not mistaken. They spotted numerous silhouettes at the high balcony of Corona's castle, and of course, they are undoubtedly Queen Arianna, King Frederic, Iduna, Agnarr, Anna and Kristoff's.
The more lanterns doubled in amount, floating tentatively from mid air into a higher height as moments pass as if they were larger dots of stars, and it took Elsa's breath more once the quantity of these ascending lights multiplied into the dark of the murky nightsky.
(A/N: The picture below does not belong to me. Credits to the one who owns it. This is Elsa's amazed expression as she surveys the scenery around them.)
She turned her head to her husband's direction, a tremulous smile already stretching his dimples. She couldn't help but take his hand in hers, her thumb gently caressing the warmth of his palm as she is more mesmerized with his face than the gorgeous scenery around them.
He immediately felt her touch, but didn't falter against it. He could only admire the broad smile his wife donned. He casually lit up their lantern and beckoned for her to inch closer, wanting for their very own lantern to ascend with their combined feathery strength.
And once they successfully fulfilled their desire, unbeknownst to their own hearts, their warm souls embraced.
And tangled.
Aiden sighed softly and took his wife's hand and interlocked their fingers, his head currently resting next to hers as they marvelled the surreal beauty of the dancing stars.
Her blue irises drifted their gaze to him, the ice queen desperately yearning for a glimpse of her husband, unashamedly her soulmate.
The world can either be ugly, or beautiful.
The world can either be cruel or kind.
The world can either be sugar or salt.
❝𝐈𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭
𝐈 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞.❞
❝𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝.❞
Aiden smiled slyly as he caught her beholding eyes, his own green orbs gleaming like the livid flames. He nudged her with a shoulder.
The queen whirled her head to where he faced, not so accidentally capturing his lips along the way. And there she knew, their thoughts aren't as different.
❝𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭.❞
❝𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫.❞
Elsa wrapped her arms around his neck and wordlessly ushered him to pull her closer, which he humbly obliged. As the world faded into nothingness, their passionate embrace grew more fervent.
❝𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐠𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧...❞
❝𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤.❞

❝❞𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫
𝐈'𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧.❞
Their lips finally parted, but their souls never did find the courage to do so as well. They are perfectly content with staying that way for a while as Aiden planted a kiss on the back of his wife's hand, his fingers periodically stroking her hand's knuckles.
𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈'𝐦 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭.
𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡.
They looked at each other simultaneously, unbridled love readable in their eyes.
𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐛𝐥𝐮𝐞.
In sync, they proclaimed in unison,
"You are my epiphany."
Their intertwined fingers caused a bright spark to eliminate the shadows between; a familiar sensation bubbling up in their veins as a pink glow began to float around with the accompaniment of vivid lanterns.
Warmth blossomed in both the King and Queen of Arendelle's chests as more of the vibrant lights form between the gap between their brushing hands wafted through the air.
An enthralled gasp escaped Elsa's lips as the two of them constantly allowed themselves to be held spell bound by the magical sight of the result of their fused abilities.
But Aiden noticed something.
Those pretty pink lights are headed into the same direction.
Maybe a hundred of them now had beaten the lanterns, but what awed the entirety of Corona more was how the lush pink lights integrate in front of the waning moon.
Fascination bloomed in Anna's heart as she watched the pink lights to form into a shape of a heart, half of its form fiery and flickering while the other half is contorted in a lush flurry.
They've done it.
They've realized it.
They are each other's...
Epiphany.

on the next chapter...
A/N: So apparently Wattpad only allows a single book to have a maximum of 200 chapters. Which means I have to make longer chapters now.
Here's my question for today's chapter:
"How many times have this book made you cry? When are the times this book make you cry?"
