I pulled on my grey muscle shirt, that by the way showed my anchor tattoo on my ribs, and my black ripped jeans with them. I slipped on my grey vans and grabbed my black and gold belt.
I put my hair into a side fishtail braid and put on some eyeliner, mascara and a nude pink lipstick. Tonight was Cory Bradshaw's party, EVERYONE was going. I slipped on a few rings and a bulky gold chain necklace.
Cam texted me saying he's on his way. I sprayed my favorite perfume and walked downstairs. I opened my door and found Cam about to knock. He smiled and put his arm put. I put mine through and we walked to his car, he opened the door for me then jogged to his own.
Soon we were off. The house was bout ten minutes away. We finally got there and there was so much trash and so many people making out and practically having sex on the grass.
We walked in and I went around looking for Shahista, Taylor, or Matt. I found Shahista and we hugged.
"hey gorgeous" I laughed.
"you look amazing" she smiled.
"where is Nash?" I asked.
"he is with Taylor, outside I think." she said.
"how come they didn't tell me?" I asked.
"Cam was supposed to tell you." she laughed.
"that idiot probably forgot." I scoffed.
We went and got something to drink. We danced and had a great time. We found Cam again and hung with him. Then I really missed Matt so I decided to go.
"hey, I'm gonna look for Matt. I haven't seen him all night." I yelled over the semi loud music.
"k, I think I saw him outside. With those other fags." Cam replied.
"Cameron!" I yelled.
"I was kidding" he laughed. I rolled my eyes playfully and I went to the front yard. I didn't see him there. I went back inside and decided to see if Jack saw him.
I found him, grinding with another girl. I almost cracked up laughing, realizing it was Brooke. I tapped on his shoulder and he turned around with confused eyes. He saw that it was me and he picked me up and twirled me around.
"hey" he smiled.
"hey, have you seen Matt?" I asked.
"yeah, I saw him about ten minutes ago. He was in the backyard, by the pool." he answered.
"thanks" I smiled and left him to go back to what he was doing.
I walked out back and scanned around, I finally found him. He was doing something but I couldn't tell through the darkness. There was a dim light for the backyard and the lights from the pool. I walked up to him, but stopped five feet away.
He was smoking. Not just cigarettes, weed. He looked behind him casually not noticing me just five feet away. His eyes were rimmed with red and he looked like he was having the time of his life. He was definitely high.
He was wearing a black shirt with khaki pants and his black and floral print sun hat. His tattoo sleeve showed and I saw a glistening gold Rolex.
I walked up to him, crossing my arms over my chest with an eyebrow raised. He looked into my eyes, then suddenly his went wide. He dropped the point and stepped on it and acted as if nothing happened.
"babe" he smiled. Arms open.
"really?" I snapped. His friends scurried away.
"what?" he asked innocently.
"Matthew" I warned. "you know I hate that shit!" I said.
"so?" he scoffed.
"what do you mean, so? Don't do it, that's a really bad habit." I said.
"you can't tell me what to do. You're my girlfriend, not god." he snapped.
"Matt, don't make a scene" I glared.
"shut up." he spat.
"what? Are you seriously... Ugh." I said trying to control my temper with this shit. "Matt, you can easily get used to that. And I don't want that happening. It's gonna fuck up your brain." I said.
"you're fucking up my brain." he snapped. I know he didn't mean that in a good way. "you're fucking suffocating me. I'm trying to have fun here, and you're over here clawing at me like you always do." he sneered. Ouch, that hurt. My eyes were watering but I tried to remember he was intoxicated. Even though an intoxicated mans words are sober thoughts.
"really? Are you serious!" I snapped back. Just a tear slipping.
"yeah! For fucks sake. Give me a break. You're so fucking annoying, being so fucking clingy." he said smugly.
"I cannot believe you" I said through tears. Then Cory came, not everyone looked at us but there most were. He put a hand on my shoulder and directed me behind him.
"Matt, chill. You shouldn't talk to her like that" he said, not rudely, more suggestively. No one could get mad at that, but of course Matt could.
"bitch, don't tell me what to and not to do" he growled.
"bro, I'm just saying. She didn't do anything" Cory defended. I looked to my right and saw Jack was out. He must have saw the whole thing, he was getting tense.
"that's it" Matt snapped. He pushed Cory into the pool behind us, and me being behind Cory, also went. I felt the water flood through my clothes and seep into my hair. The cold hit me like a thousand needles.
I reached surface once again and looked at Matt's stunned face. "Baby, I'm sorry I didn't-" Matt began but Jack pushed him out of the way. He put a hand out for me and I grabbed it and got up.
He wrapped a towel around me that someone brought. "are you okay?" he asked. I nodded and looked up and Matt's furious face.
"gilinsky get the fuck away from my girlfriend" Matt warned.
"Espinosa I swear to fucking god, I'm going to kill you." Jack growled. I grabbed Jacks arm and looked at him. He knew I was begging him not to. I looked at Matt and he was practically on fire with anger.
"I warned you" Matt yelled and his hand connected with Jacks jaw. Jack threw a punch back, then another. He was now on top of Matt and a out to punch him again before I put my hand on his extended shoulder. He looked up and his face softened. He got off Matt, he didn't do any damage, nor did Matt to jack.
"Aurora" Matt began but I stopped him.
"I can't believe I'm actually doing this. But if I'm suffocating so much to the point where you have to push me into the pool then, we're taking a break. A very long one." I said. Matt's face fell.
"no" he whispered. "NO! No mother fucking way!" he said.
"oh really? I thought I was too clingy, I thought you had enough! Enough to fucking throw me into the pool" I snapped. Jacks hands rested on my arms from behind to remind me to calm down.
"Gilinsky, get your fucking hands off my girlfriend!" Matt screamed.
"she's not gonna be your girlfriend for long if you keep acting like that." Jack muttered. Matt stepped forward but I held my hand up.
"like I said, a break. We. An be together when I think that we're ready to be." I sighed.
"Aria, please. I didn't mean to say any of that." Matt begged. I wiped away my tears and grabbed Jacks hand. Jack took me and we left to my house.
"I can't believe he did that" I said as we drove.
"yeah, I know. That dumbass. I would kill to have you clinging to me" he joked. I laughed a little and hit his arm.
"thank you." I smiled.
"don't make any rash decisions. I don't like him, but you do. So take your time. I know he'll be waiting." he smiled.
"I love you Jack, and I wish I was in love with you. But I'm not, I'm in love with Matt. So many problems but in the end, it's all worth it." I sighed.
"I know" he said, clutching the steering wheel harder.
