°Y/n's pov°
"THE OCEAN!!!" San screamed, making everyone laugh. He kept repeating it till Jongho picked him up, walked over to the water and threw him in when the water was deep enough. Me, Areum and Seonghwa were setting up the sun brolly and towls while some of the boys went over to the two already in the water. Once my towel was down, I immediately sat down on it.
I still had my shorts amd jacket on but Areum was just in her swimming cozi now, as she had already took her shorts off . "Aren't you gonna take your jacket off? You must be boiling" "I was just about to" I said laughing. I put my jacket by the brolly. "Seonghwa"? He humed as a reply as he was looking threw the bag.
"Do we have any suncream?" He looked through the bag some more before shaking his head. "No sorry. I think I left it on the table. I'll go ge-" "No it's okay, I'll go and get it. I'll put it on while I'm there too. Do you have the key?" He nodded and past me the key. "Don't be to long okay?" "I won't, don't worry"
When I got back to the house, I looked on the table to see that it's not there. I checked in the kitchen counter tops too, but it wasn't there either. Hmm. I tried the bathroom and thankfully it was there. I started putting it on in the bathroom, making sure I got to all the places I could before I put it on my face and attempting to do my back.
*sigh* I looked back in the mirror after giving up, to see Hongjoong leaning on the door frame with his arms folder and a smirk on his face. "AHHHH! Omg HONGJOONG! What the hell?! You gave me a heart attack!" I said with a hand on my chest where my heart was, trying to calm down from the little fright I just had.
"Haha no I'm sorry, I saw you walking back, so I came to check on you" He said making his way to me. "Well I'm fine thank you. I don't appreciate being scared though" I said, folding my arms across my chest. "Hey, I already said I'm sorry." He said laughing a bit. I just turned my head to the side playfully, giving him a little hmph.
"Hey, y/n" He poked me in the side, which caused me to jerk the opposite way. "Oh? Your ticklish?" ?"N-no. Pft of course not." I said moving further away from him only to walk back into the shower wall as he kept walking closer. Oh crap. I let out a nervous laugh from seeing the evil smirk on his face.
"No? So if I did this-" He poked me in the side making me squeak and move a way. "Its not ticklish?" "N-nope. Not at all" "What about this then" He started tickling both my sides, I had no where to move but somehow I ended turning around, which actually helped me as I was able to get a grip on his arm and over lap them so that he couldn't tickle me anymore. I was able to get my breath back now. But I didn't realise what position we were in until he pulled me closer into a back hug. Oh no. What have I done to myself?
"So that didn't tickle no?" He whispered into my ear. My breath hitched when his breath fanned the side of my face and my neck slightly causing a chill to run down my back which I know, without a doubt, that he's loving teasing me and making me blush right now. I turn to face him to see him smirking down at me. "No..?" I said almost as a whisper. He just laughed slightly. "Uhuh, soo if I was to poke you aga-" He tried to move his arm but I had a tight grip on it "No don't! okay I am ticklish just please stop before I pee my self" I said giggling.
We stood there for a few more seconds laughing, before he loosened his hold on me but it was enough for me to be able to face him now and we were just looking into each others eyes when I spoke up. "You put any suncream on yet?" I asked. "Nope. Can you put it on for me?" He joked, with a smirk, pulling me a bit closer. He loves smirking but not gonna lie, he looks hot so I ain't complaining. "No, do it yourself, you weirdo" I said laughing, getting out of his hold and about to hand the suncream over to him.
"Before you use it though, I still need to put some on my face and back but I'll just get Areum to help me so let yo-" "I can help you if you want and it saves you going all the way outside too. Then you can help me too. It's a win win" He said smirking at the end.
I froze unsure on what to do but my mouth decided to have a mind of its own. "O-oh ok then" fuck, what have I got my self in to. He smiled before taking the suncream out of my hand. He squeezed a little bit on his hand and dotted it around my face which brought me back to reality. "H-huh, w-what're you doing that for? I thought you were only doing my back?" "Well you were still daydreaming so I had to get you out of it as we've been inside for a while and the others are gonna come and check to see what we're doing so we better hurry up"
"Oh, right" He continued to rub the sun cream into my face gentily and I just looked away from him so I didn't blush. Once it was all rubbed in, he told me to turn around so that he could get my back and I told him that I only needed the top half doing. When he put the cream on my back it was cold and I ended up flinching away making him laugh. "Hold still. I'll be done soon"
When I was doing his back he had actually taken his shirt off. I was expecting him to lift it up to his shoulder or something. I hadn't actual seen the front of him yet but I was already blushing. As I was finishing rubbing the suncream in, he spoke. "Y/n?" "Yea?" He took a large breath before speaking again.
"Do you perhaps want to have go on a date with me?"
I stopped moving. My breath hitched too. Omg he just asked me out. He turned around a few seconds after I stopped and I had a full view of him without a shirt now and it was not helping. He had a really great body. He didn't have a 6 pack but the outline was there so you could tell it was forming so they would be there soon. Damn it. My face is getting warm. Look away y/n, LOOK AWAY.
I managed to turn my head to the side but he put his hand under my chin and made me look up at him. Omg no, I can't, he's too hot right now. "So? Will you go on a date with me Y/n?" "I-I uh I- YES. I'd love to g-go on a date with you Hongjoong" damn it. Why'd I have to expose myself and say I'd love to? I couldn't have been normal and just said I'd like to? And why did I have to stutter too.
I snapped out of my little 'self telling off' moment by a pair of lips on my cheek. He kissed me again. "I don't know when we can go on our date, but I'll make sure that you have a great time. I promise. But in the mean time, I think we should go back to the others now, come on let's go" "O-okay" With that we went back to the others.
Time skip: a come of hours later

They had spent the day sunbathung, messing around in the water and having small water fights and were now at a restaurant as they had gotten hungry from how active they were all day and couldn't be bothered cooking. They ordered the food they wanted and joked and messed about for the rest of the night before going back to the beach house and going to bed. Although not everyone could sleep.
°Hongjoong's pov°
I've got the blanket wrapped around my shoulders as I'm sat outside and there's no fire this time to keep me warm. I feel like there's a lot on my mind but when I try to think about everything, it's not even that much. There's Y/n, my mafia with the boys and Shane and that's it.
All that's on my mind with Y/n, is how she always looks pretty when she smiles or ideas that I've thought of for our date. With that mafia it's just things like deals, missions and our new alliance with the two other groups. But then there's Shane. That dudes a mystery. Like, Y/n's said he's kinds and caring when he's around her, but everytime I've seen him with her he's been rude and aggressive towards us and drags her away looking angry.
What is that dudes problem?
I started to hear light foot steps but I choose to ignore them as it was probably one of the boys. "Hey" I turned around to see Y/n. "Hey, what are you doing out here?" She took a seat beside me and I saw she was wearing my jacket. I smiled a little before looking back up at the sky. "I had another nightmare so I couldn't sleep. Probably won't be able to for a while now either, what about you?"
As soon as she said nightmare, my attention was brought to her instead of the sky. "You had another one?" She just nodded. I lifted one of my arms to give her a hug which she accepted right away and hugged me back, resting her head on my shoulder. "Was it as bad as the one you had this morning?" "No but it still sends chills down my spine when I think about it"
I humed in response and put my cheek on her head and looked out to the beach. "You still haven't answered my question yet" "Huh?" "What are you doing out here?" Ohh that one. "I don't know really, just felt like I'd come out here and stargaze tonight before we go back home and as I was on my own, it given me time to think" I felt her nodded her head. "What were you thinking of?" I had to think this through first, before actually speaking so that I don't accidentally reveal anything I'm not supposed to.
"Just work and you" She tilted her head to look at me causing me to move my head and look down at her. "Me?" "Yep, you" I just realised how weird that sounded so I quickly tried to explain what I ment. "Not in a creepy way or anything. Just like what we can do on our date and that" She just giggled at my flustered state and kissed my cheek, causing me to widen my eyes and freeze. "It's fine, I didn't take it in a weird way anyway"
Wow. Her lips were so soft. Just like I thought they would be this morning. "-Joong. Hongjoong?" I was snapped out of my frozen state by Y/n calling my name. "Yep?" "Nothing, you were just staring at me" She laughed causing me to blush but she won't be able to that as it's dark.
"I think we should head inside and get some sleep. It's quite late and we all have to be up early tomorrow" "Can we just stay out for a little bit longer? Please? I don't want to try and sleep yet" y/n asked looking down. "Sure but only for a few more minutes or we'll be shattered tomorrow"
We sat there for another half an hour in a comfortable silence. When went back up stairs I gave Y/n one last hug, telling her good night and of she had another nightmare she can come to my room. Kissed her forehead and went to bed my self.
