"It's a spaceship. Brilliant! I got a spaceship on my first go!" Mickey exclaimed as the group walked out the Tardis and they saw the inside of it had pieces of equipment scattered around. "It looks abandoned. Anyone onboard?" Rose asked, not seeing anyone in sight. "Nah, nothing here. Well, nothing dangerous. Well, not that dangerous." The Doctor said and Galaxy gave him a look, "You know what, I'll just have a quick scan, in case there's anything dangerous."

"So, what's the date? How far we gone?" Rose asked. "About three thousand years into your future." Galaxy said and she found a light switch on a console and she flipped it causing part of the ceiling to show them the stars, "Fifty-first century, the Diagmar Cluster. You're a long with from home, Mickey. Two and a half galaxies away." She carried on as she wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "Mickey Smith, meet the universe. See anything you like?" Rose asked him. "It's so realistic!"

"Dear me, had some cowboys in here. Got a ton of repair work going on. Now that's odd. Look at that. All the warp engines are going. Full capacity, there's enough power running through this shop to punch a hole in the universe, but we're not moving. So where's all that power going?" The Doctor said as the others came to stand at the console with him. "Where'd all the crew go?" Rose asked.

"A good question. I'm not getting a reading of any other signs of life." Astro said after he did a scan of the ship, the only life signs he did get were Galaxy's and the others but that was it. "Well, we're in deep space. They didn't just nip out for a quick fag." "No, I've checked all the smoking pods. Can you smell that?" "Yeah, someone's cooking," Rose said. "Sunday roast, definitely," Mickey said and Galaxy chuckled as she used the console to open a door behind them.

They walked through the door to see a blazing fire in an ornate fireplace against a wall, it had an ormolu clock on the mantlepiece. "Well, there's something you don't see in your average spaceship. Eighteenth-century. French. Nice mantle. Not a hologram. It's not even a reproduction. This actually is an eighteenth-century French fireplace. Double-sided. There's another room through there." The Doctor said as he and Galaxy walked up to the fireplace and examined it.

"There can't be. That's the outer hull of the ship. Look." Rose said as she looked out of a porthole and the Doctor went to have a look while Galaxy stayed put and she crouched down to see a little girl sitting before the fire on the other side. "Hello, there." Galaxy said as she looked at the girl and Astro sat down next to her. "Hello." "What's your name?" Galaxy asked her gently. "Reinette." "That's a lovely name, Reinette. Do you think you could tell me where you are right now, Reinette?"

"In my bedroom," Reinette told her. "And your bedroom is where? Where do you live, Reinette?" "Paris, of course." "Right, sorry about the stupid questions." Galaxy said causing Reinette to laugh lightly. "Madame, what are you doing in my fireplace?" She asked Galaxy. "Just a routine fire check. Can you tell me what year it is Reinette?" "Of course I can. Seventeen hundred and twenty-seven." "Ah, one of my favourites, I enjoyed the dresses. Well, that's all for now. Thank you for your help. Hope you enjoy the rest of the fire. Night, Reinette." Galaxy said and waved. "Good night, Madame." Reinette waved back and Galaxy stood up.

"You said this was the fifty-first century," Mickey said. "The Doctor also said about the ship generating enough power to punch a hole in the universe and I think that was the hole." "Must be a Spatio-temporal hyperlink." The Doctor added from what Galaxy said. "What's that?" Mickey asked. "He made it up, didn't want to go with magic door." Galaxy remarked as she smirked at the Doctor. "And on the other side of the magic door is France in 1727?" Rose asked. "She was speaking French as well as the right period French."

"She was speaking English, I heard her," Mickey said. "That's the Tardis. Translate for you." Rose told him as Galaxy checked over the fireplace some more. "Even French?" "Yeah." "There we go." Galaxy said getting their attention only to see her press something on the fireplace. "Galaxy!" Rose and the Doctor shout as they watch the fireplace rotate taking her and Astro to the other side.

"Next time you have an idea, don't do it," Astro whispered to Galaxy who chuckled slightly, she looked around the room as she quietly walked away from the fireplace and saw it was snowing outside when she looked out the window. Astro nudged her leg and he nodded to the bed when she looked at him and the two saw Reinette sitting up in her bed looking at them.

"Don't scream. It's okay. It's just me, the fireplace woman and her dog companion. We were talking just a second ago, I was in your fireplace." Galaxy said calmly as she went to light a candle with her sonic key. "Madame, that was weeks ago. That was months." "Huh. There must be a loose connection. Need to get a man in." "Who are you? And what are you doing here?" Reinette asked as Galaxy looked at the clock when she noticed that the ticking was quite loud. "Well, that's kinda scary."

"You're scared of a broken clock?" Reinette asked as Astro jumped on her bed. "He won't bite, you can stroke him if you want." Galaxy said when she saw the look on the child's face and smiled when Reinette stroked Astro's fur who she could tell liked it. "As to your question, a bit yes. Because if this clock's broken and it's the only one in the room, then where's that noise coming from? Because that's not a clock. You can tell it's not by the resonance, it's too big. Six feet, I'd say. The size of a man."

'You're starting to sound like the Doctor.' Astro said to her through their connection and Galaxy rolled her eyes slightly, she was bound to catch his blabbering sooner or later. "What is it?" "Thinking about it, if you were a thing that ticked and you were hiding in someone's bedroom, then you'd break the clock first since no one pays attention to the sound of one clock really, but two? Some might start to wonder if they're really alone." 'I'm picking up something from under the bed, Galaxy.'

"Stay on the bed with Astro, right in the middle. And don't put your hands or feet over the edge." Galaxy told her as she moved to the bed and kneeled before it before pulling out her sonic key and she waved it under the bed, only to have it knocked out of her hand. She then looked to see what had caused her to drop her sonic and she rose up to see a figure in a smiley mask behind Reinette and Astro, who was making sure to stay close to the child to protect her. "Reinette, I want you to exactly where you are. Don't look around. Now, just hold still, I need to have a look."

Galaxy gently placed her hands on Reinette's head and looked deep into her eyes. "You've been scanning her brain. You cross two galaxies and thousands of years just to scan the brain of a child? What's in a child's mind that's worth blowing a hole in the universe?" Galaxy asked the robot once she had checked Reinette's mind. "I don't understand. It wants me? You want me?" "Not yet. You are incomplete."

"Hold on, incomplete? What does that mean? If you can answer her, you can answer me. What do you mean by incomplete?" Galaxy asked when it didn't answer her, Astro ended up standing up on the bed when the android walked around the bed with a blade coming out of its hand. "Madame, be careful," Reinette said as Astro jumped off the bed and stood in front of Galaxy protectively. "It's just a nightmare, Reinette. Everyone has them." The android slashed at Galaxy who was able to dodge it and Astro bit his teeth into its arm.

"Astro, come. You know, Reinette, monsters that hide under beds also have nightmares, don't you?" Galaxy asked the android as it came toward her and Astro and ended up getting its blade stuck in the mantlepiece. "What do monsters have nightmares about?" "People like me!" Galaxy said and activated the mechanism to make the fireplace rotate again.

"Galaxy!" Galaxy and Astro quickly moved away from the mantlepiece and she pointed her computer wrist toward the android and a frosty mist flies toward the android, causing it to seize up becoming still. "Excellent. Ice gun." Mickey said. "Still a prototype though, first time using it." Galaxy said as she worked on her computer wrist, like the Doctor she didn't like guns but something like an ice gun that can freeze things isn't so bad in her eyes, not if she uses it to keep things in place like the android. She came up with the idea back when she was stranded in WWII but never had the equipment to make it, until now.

"Where did that thing come from?" Rose asked. "It came from here." "So why is it dressed like that?" Mickey asked. "Field trip to France. Some kind of basic camouflage protocol. Nice needlework, shame about the face." The Doctor said as he removed the android's face to reveal a clockwork. "Whoa, now that's gorgeous. Space-age clockwork, I love it. I've got chills! Listen, seriously, I mean this from the heart, and that's both of them, it would be a crime, an act of vandalism to disassemble you. But that hasn't stopped me before." Galaxy said and pouted when the android beamed itself away, "Aw, man."

"Short-range teleport. Can't have gone far. Could still be on board." The Doctor said as he smiled at the pout on Galaxy's face. 'I really wanted to get inside it, now I might not be able to ever again.' 'You'll find something to distract your mind soon enough.' "What is it?" Rose asked. "Don't go looking for it." Galaxy said as she walked back to the fireplace with Astro and the Doctor tagging along. "Where are you three going?" "Back in a second," Astro said as Galaxy used the fireplace again, making the three turn to the room.
