Kendrick's POV
Seth enters the house looking miserable compared to his usual self
"How'd it go?" Ray asks as he plops down on a stool
"Terrible." He sighs
He probably realized how extremely weird and annoying she is and he changed his mind about liking her
"Why, what happened?" Ray asks, his eyebrows creased
"She brother zoned me.... said that she sees me merely as a brother and it'd be weird if she ever saw me as anything other than that." He runs a frustrated hand through his hair
Will it make me a bad person if I laugh at his ass? Come on it was pretty obvious she didn't like him like that
"On the bright side, she sees you as something more than a friend." Ray tries to ease the situation
Seriously Ray?
"I mean, maybe she'll have a change of heart someday." Ray suggests
I roll my eyes
"Shut the fuck up Ray. Seth, she told you she doesn't like you in that sense so I'll advice you to get over it soon because there is no use in crying over it if it ain't going to change a damn thing." I roll my eyes. "Wipe that self pity of your fucking face and gulp this down." I say throwing him a beer can which he effortlessly catches
Ray looks at me disapprovingly and I shrug my shoulders
"You are the most insensitive motherfucker there is bruh. Can't you see that he's hurt?" He says once Seth is out of earshot
"The sooner he starts accepting the truth the better. You can't give a man hope that isn't there." I tell him
"You are wrong for this Ken." He says
"Oh boo hoo, he's not fifteen." I roll my eyes
"Just wait for the day Victoria breaks your heart, I'll be there to laugh in your fuckin face."
He capping but oh my fuckin balls!
"That won't happen. I, like Skylar don't see Victoria dear like that. If anything, she makes me want to take my eyeballs out and stuff them into my ears everytime she fuckin giggles."
He laughs like I've just told him the funniest joke on the planet
"Well that's not how it looks like on our end my friend. You two seem to be getting really friendly. I won't be surprised if you haven't already, you know." He smirks
I would be lying if i said it hasn't crossed my mind. She is hot but she's not worth my amazing dick game
"Not in her wildest dreams. I can tell you now that nothing is ever going to happen between me and her."
"Are you sure, she's practically throwing herself at you."
"I'm only 'friendly' with her so I use her to get to SkyHigh, other than that she can kiss my ass." I take a swing at my beer

"And how are you going to do that?" Ray asks seemingly uninterested
"I don't know yet but I'll figure it out." I say and he scoffs, turning around and walking out the kitchen

"Hey guys, so since it's Friday I was thinking we should go laser tagging as a group tonight. We hardly do anything together." Karen suggests as we take our seats at the table
I have a match tonight but the good thing is that its later after midnight so I'm down for game time.
"Hmm, that's not bad of an idea I'm in." Victoria dear says
The rest of the table agree to the idea except for Skylar. I wonder what weird thing she has to do this time
"Skylar?" Karen nudges her arm
"Hmm?" She responds like a kid who was caught stealing
"Laser tag, you are coming right?" Karen lifts her eyebrow at her
The look on her face already gives it away, I just wanna hear what the excuse is this time
"Well I can't, I have work at the diner." She says. Here we go again
"That's why we are going after you get off from work I already thought about it." Karen says so excitedly you'd think she uncovered the krabby patty secret recipe
"Still can't, I have things to do after work." She says never looking up from her food
"Oh really, enlighten me." Karen says irritation playing in her voice
"Uh, I have church to attend." Skylar answers
This is rich
"On a Friday evening?" I ask and all heads snap towards me
They acting like they are watching a movie. Might as well be because Skylar is being ridiculous
"I have my own church services in my room, God bless my soul." She says folding her hands, looking towards the ceiling
"Since you host the services, you can surely do it after laser tag?" Ray says
"Nope, can't. I cannot keep God waiting, he is a busy man. Besides, we have a schedule so it will be rude of me to not show up." She explains
Even the blind could see through her lies
"Why do i feel like you are just making all these things up?" Karen asks sounding a bit hurt
That's because she is
"Don't you like hanging out with us anymore? Is it the new additions, we can always kick them out and it'll be just the three of us again?" Karen says
That won't be a bad idea, I hate that we hang out with these girls. Okay that's not entirely true but just pretend it is
"We are right here you know." Ray and Seth say in unison
Karen holds her index finger up to shut them up and continues her talk with Skylar
"No, no it's not you guys I promise. I am just busy lately." She explains
"Don't tell me you are going to watch SkyHigh's match? I don't take you to be into that stuff." Victoria says and I almost laugh
Skylar, going to watch illegal street fighting? That's absurd
"I don't even know who SkyHigh is besides, I don't watch 'such things'." She says rolling her eyes
"Yeah I forgot that you are too much of a goody two shoes." Victoria laughs. Alone if i may add
"You are talking about a girl who once almost set a neighbour's house on fire because their dog wouldn't stop barking and she was 10, plus it was in my neighbourhood." Karen says almost bitterly to her
"Anyway, it's okay Skylar you can always join us some other time." Gabbriela says sending a disapproving look to Victoria
Victoria scoffs and goes back to eating her food and so does everyone else.
"SkyHigh is fighting today, are you going to the match?" Ray asks as we walk to our last class
"Nah, I'm giving that a break today. I have however figured out a way I can get a hold of the file that has all of Randy Spudnik's people and their information. If that doesn't solve it, I don't know what will." I whisper to Ray
"What? How will you get those?" Ray asks with a shocked expression
"I have a cousin that works in the hacking department. His name is Logan."
"Bro, you aren't thinking clearly about this. Randy owns one of the most dangerous mafias known to man, don't you think he has people working in the hacking department too? If it goes wrong, you might end up with a dead family member." Ray reasons and I can't help but to agree with him
"I'll think of something." I say as we enter the dreadful classroom
As usually, I pay no attention in class. At this point the teachers don't even mind anymore because like they say, "I've got my janitor career already sorted if i don't resort to selling drugs first" Not that my grades are bad or anything, I just don't like people knowing that I indeed give a fuck about my grades and they know. So they use that line in order to scare other students which is utterly stupid if you ask me
"Psst Ken, are you still coming over to my house today?" The oh so annoying voice of Victoria speaks
"Yes and if you keep bugging me, I'll seriously change my mind." I roll my eyes
No no, nothing of that sort. She wants help with calculus and I only agreed to help her because I might need her to do something for me.
My mind suddenly drifts off to Skylar. She hasn't spoken to me since I left her at the park the other day. That was hilarious you gotta admit, I wonder what curse words she was using against me on her walk back home.
"Why are you smiling like that?" I was taken out of my trance by Ray who nudges my arm
Oh nothing Ray, just reminiscing on Skylar moments
"I just noticed how saggy Mrs Clogworth's tits are." I say pointing at the teacher in the front
"Why are you even looking at her tots you pervert?" He throws his pencil at me and shakes his head
I laugh aloud at what Ray said and the entire classroom looks at me including Clogworth
"Mr Gabriel, I am trying to teach others who want to learn now please keep it down." She says pushing her glasses up
I can think of two things that are down
I swear Kendrick, you should consider becoming a fuckin comedian.
