Jaimi and Ayesha reach Jaimi's house around 9:30. Jaimi opens the gate and is about to walk in when she hears a car suddenly stopping. She turns around to look at the car. Ayesha goes into the gate. A male gets out of the car. The car lights flash in her eyes. She puts a hand in front of her face to block the light from entering. The male is no other than Darshan Raval. He pays the taxi driver. Jaimi removes her hand and walks inside the gate. Darshan sees her entering the huge house(Shown in the picture). They couldn't see each other's faces. He also walks into the gate of his apartment building. He takes the elevator to his apartment floor.
Jaimi rings the bell and her aunt, Jaya, opens the door. The two walk into the house. The two go to the living room and sit on the sofa with Jaimi's uncle, Jaivardhan. Her aunt, Jaya, brings water for the two. She also sits down with the three.
Jaivardhan: Tum dono ko yaha dekh ke main bahut khush hu, especially you Ayesha!
Ayesha: Mein bhi yaha aake bahot khush hu. Mujhe apne ghar pe akela nahi rehna tha.
Jaya: Tumhare parents kaha gae hai?
Ayesha: Woh dono meri cousin ki shaadi attend karne ke liye USA gae hai.
Jaya: Tumhari mummy ne mujhe kaha tha par mere dimag se hi nikal gaya.
Jaimi: Main bhi hoon yaha!
Jaya: Ole Mera bacha! Tujhe kaise bhool sakhate hai hum, tu toh humari jaan hai.
Jaimi: I have a good news for you two!
Jaivardhan: Kya?
Jaimi: Mujhe ek company mein as the business head or you can say CEO say appoint kiya gaya hai!
Jaya: Yeh toh bahot hi acchi khabar hai! Iss baat peh toh muh mitha hona chahiye!
Jaimi: Pehle aap dono mujhe yeh batao ki hume itni urgently Mumbai se yaha kyu bulaya?
Jaya: Umm... woh beta...
Jaivardhan: Abhi tum dono thak gae honge! Tum dono fresh hojao aur phir sab saath mein dinner karte hai. Uss ke baare mein him badme baat karte hai.
Ayesha: Ok! Jaimi, chal na bahot bhukh lagi hai.
Jaimi goes to her bedroom which is on the third floor and Ayesha goes to the guest room on the second floor. They freshen up and come to the dining area where Jaya aunty is setting up the table. They all eat dinner. Jaimi and Ayesha help her in cleaning up. The four are sitting in the living room watching tv and chatting.
Darshan takes the elevator up to his apartment. He opens the door with spare keys which he has. He goes in and sees Rajendra Uncle(RU) watching tv in the living room. He puts his bag to the side and takes off his shoes. He sits beside Rajendra Uncle on the sofa.
RU: Kitne dino ke baad ghar aae ho tum?
Darshan: Toh aap Mumbai kyu nahi rehte mere saath?
RU: Tum to hamesha kaam se ghar ke bahar hi rehte ho! Toh phir, mein waha ghar pe akela kya karu? Ahmedabad mein toh kaam bhi kar sakhta hoon, dost aur jaan pehchan walo se bhi mil sakhta hoon.
Darshan: Thik hai.
RU: Tum itne udas kyu dikh rahe ho?
Darshan: Mein kaha udas hoon! Woh toh thoda thak gaya hoon bas. (Trying to show excitement and happiness)
RU: Thik hai!
Darshan: Waise, aapne mujhe aur Jyugal ko intni urgently Mumbai se Ahmedabad kyu bulaya? Aapko kya baat karni hai?
RU: Tum fresh hoke aao, hum uss baare me baad mein baat karte hai.
Darshan: Thik hai.
Darshan takes his bag and goes to his room. He freshens up and comes out of his room after half an hour. They both eat dinner and clean up. They are sitting in the living room conversing.
Darshan: Pappa ab toh batao ki aap ko kya important baat karni thi!
RU: Woh... mujhe...
There's an awkward silence in the air as Rajendra Uncle is trying to find words. His phone rings and he gets happy looking at the name. He answers the call and talks. He hangs up the call after a minute or so.
RU: Mere ek friend ko mujhse ek bahot important baat karni hai toh mein abhi uske saath walk pe jaa raha hoon.
Darshan: Par Pappa...
RU: Mein aau tab baat karenge!
Rajendra Uncle quickly gets his phone and wallet. He wears his flip flops and leaves the house. He walks to Sabarmati Riverfront where he meets up with Jaivardhan Uncle. They start walking along the bank of Sabarmati River.
RU: Tumne Jaimi se woh baat ki?
Jaivardhan: Nahi! Tumne Darshan se ki?
RU: Mujhe yeh hi samajh nahi aa raha ki usse kaise kahu yeh baat. Mein bolne ka try kar raha tha par mujhe lafz hi nahi mil rahe the.
Jaivardhan: Meine bhi baad mein baat karenge bol kar taal diya kyuki mein bhi confuse hu ki usse kaise batau iss baare mein. Mujhe yeh bhi nahi pata ki woh kaise react karegi yeh sunke.
RU: Mujhe bhi yahi soch raha tha par hume baat to karni hi hogi na. Hum unse akele mein hi baat karenge taaki hum unse thoda khul ke baat kar sakhe.
Jaivrdhan: Yeh tumne sahi kaha.
RU: Chalo baat karke dekhte hai ki kya hota hai. Mein chahta hoon ki meeting kal shaam tak ho jaye aur sab jald se jald ho jaye.
Jaivardhan: Mein toh sirf Jaimi ki khushi chahta hoon! Woh bolti nahi hai par kabhi kabhi woh bahot akeli pad jaati hai, family mein bhi. Bacche ek dusre ko samajh te hai aur Chetna toh USA mein hi settle ho gayi hai aur humse toh bacche zyada tar baat share nahi karte.
RU: Yeh baat toh tumne ek dum sahi kahi hain!
The two walk and converse for a while then walk toward their house. On the other hand, Darshan continuously calls Heli. She doesn't answer any of his calls and simply texts him, "It's over! Don't ever call me or text me again." Darshan's mood suddenly becomes sadder reading her message. He sits on the sofa beside the window in his living room and looks outside. He sees the huge house which he saw when coming in. He sees a girl standing on the highest floor of the house. He couldn't see her face as her back is facing him. Her hair is flowing in the air while she's talking to someone on the phone. He unconsciously stares at her for some time. Rajendra Uncle enters the house and sees Darshan staring out the window with the living room lights turned off. He turns on the light grabbing Darshan's attention. He sits beside Darshan on the sofa who turns to face him.
RU: Darshan, maine jis wajah se tumhe aur Jyugal ko Ahmedabad bulaya haina, uss baare mein tumse baat karni hai.
Darshan: Thik hai.
RU: Darshan, mein chahta hoon ki tum life mein settle ho jao.
Darshan: Pappa, mein toh settle hi hoon. Meine apna career set kiya hai aur ab toh ek 3 bhk bhi kharid liya hai.
RU: Mujhe pata hai par life mein ghar aur career hi sab kuch nahi hota na. I mean family.
Darshan: Woh toh aap aur Anup bhai hai na.
RU: Haan woh toh hum hain par...
Darshan: Pappa aap siddhe baat peh aaiye na!
RU: Mein chahta hoon ki tum mere friend ki bhatiji se shaadi karlo!
Darshan: Kya? Pappa aap jaante ho nah ke mera aisa koi plan nahi hai. Mujhe abhi shaadi nahi karni!
RU: Kabhi toh karonge na toh ab karlo na. Woh tumhare liye best hai. Woh modern, independent, aur bahot beautiful hai. Saari zindagi akele nahi bitai jaate beta.
Darshan: Papa mein abhi taiyaar nahi hoon.
RU: Tumhe pata hain na ke agar ab shaadi nahi ki na toh tumhare sare friends ke bacche tumhe uncle bulaenge ek do saal baad. Aur Uncle's ki shaadi nahi hoti!
Rajendra Uncle laughs and Darshan tries to put on a serious face but ends chuckling.
RU: Jokes apart! Sach mein woh bahot hi acchi bacchi hai. Tumhe shaadi karni hai ya nahi karni hai woh tum usse ek baar milne ke baad decide karna, but I would love to hear yes. Tumne nahi kaha toh mujhe ek solid reason dena hoga.
Darshan: Thik hai, but this is only for you! Ok?
RU: Ok! Tum Jyugal ko bolna ke kal 4 baje se pehle aa jae, hum unko shaam ko hi mil ne jaaenge.
Darshan: Ok.
RU: Mein sone jaa raha hoon. Tum Jyugal se baat kar lena. Good night!
Darshan: Good night!
Rajendra Uncle goes to his bedroom and sleeps while Darshan calls Jyugal and tells him to meet him at Sabarmati Riverfront. Darshan takes one last look out the window and sees Jaimi walking inside. He gets up and wears his shoes. He locks the house behind him with his keys and walks to Sabarmati Riverfront.
On the other hand, Jaimi hangs up the call and Jaivardhan uncle and Jaya aunty come to her room. She starts towards her room but the glass door opens and the two walk into the balcony.
Jaivardhan: Jaimi, hume tum se kuch baat karni hai.
Jaimi: Haan boliye!
Jaya: Beta baith ke baat karte hain!
Jaimi: Thik hai.
Jaivardhan: Jaimi, tumhe pata hain na ki hum tumhara kabhi bhura nahi sochenge.
Jaimi: Haan mujhe pata hain par aap dono aaj yeh baat kyu kar rahe hai!
Jaya: Humne tumhare liye ek ladka dekha hai aur hum chahte hai ki tum usse kal shaam 5 baje ko milo.
Jaivardhan: Mere ek bahot acche dost ka beta hain! He's very well off aur uska ghar Mumbai mein hi hai toh tumhe Mumbai se move bhi nahi hona padega.
Jaimi: That's a very bad reason to marry someone! Aap dono ko bhi pata hai humare khandaan mein iss pidhi mein jiski bhi shaadi hui hain na sabka divorce hua hain aur ab toh mein hi bachi hoon.
Jaya: Sabka divorce hua kyuki ek reason that. Unke partner cheat kar rahe the unko.
Jaimi: Mein abhi ready nahi hoon! I want to be better off in my life and marriage only means restrictions.
Jaivardhan: Woh sab bahot modern thinking wale hain.
Jaya: Tum kal uss ladke aur uski family se milo aur phir decide karna ki karni hain ya nahi.
Jaivardhan: He's a gem of a person and his family will treat you like a princess. I would love to hear yes, but if you say no then, you'll have give me a solid reason.
Jaya: Abhi tum aaram karo phir kal woh log aayenge na.
Jaimi: Hmm...
The two go to their bedroom on the ground floor while Jaimi calls Chetana. She talks to her for a few minutes then, runs to the guest room on the second floor. She calls Meera who instantly answers it and Jaimi puts the call on speaker. She goes into the guest room but finds Ayesha sleeping. She locks the door behind her. She calls Ayesha's name and taps her a few times but she doesn't even move. Jaimi take the glass of water placed on the side table and pours it on Ayesha who instantly wakes up.
Ayesha: What the hell?
Jaimi: You're fu**ing sleeping like a pig when your friend is in a problem!
Ayesha: Koun problem mein hai!
Jaimi: Mein! Hume yaha aana hi nahi chahiye tha.
Meera: Kyu? Kya hua?
Jaimi: Uncle aur aunty ne hume yaha mujhe kisi ladke se milne ke liye bulaya hai! Woh log kal shaam 5 baje aa rahe hai. They really want me to get married to this guy before they move in with Chetana di in the USA. Guys I'm screwed! How do I get out of it?
Meera: Mil le uss ladke se aur phit baadme na keh dena!
Jaimi: Can't!
Ayesha: Why?
Jaimi: Uncle ne kaha hai ki agar maine na kaha toh mujhe ek solid reason dena hoga.
Meera: Chetana Di se baat karle, woh tumhe kuch na kuch toh help kar hi paegi!
Jaimi: Unhone kaha ki woh meri kuch zyada help nahi kar sakhti kyuki yeh uncle aunty ka decision hai. Unhone bhi yahi kaha ki ladke se mil le aur mujhe nahi pasand aaya toh woh Uncle aunty se baat karegi
Ayesha: Jo bhi hai mil lena aur abhi mujhe sone de aur Meera kal tu aaja na!
Meera: Mummy mujhe mere cousin ke baby shower mein leja rahi hain toh mera aana impossible hain. Chal phir mil le usse, uss ke baad jo hoga dekhenge!
Jaimi: Sahi hai! Par pehle mein iss kumbhkaran ko pitungi. Teri friend yaha musibat mein hai aur tujhe sona hai.
She takes one of the pillows and hits Ayesha with it who picks up another one and hits her back. Meera laughts at their small pillow fight. Jaimi hangs up the call after a few minutes and goes to her bedroom.
On the other side, Darshan walks to Sabarmati Riverfront where he sees Jyugal sitting on the bank of Sabarmati River with his feet in the water. Darshan rolls up his pants and sits beside him.
Jyugal: Kya hua? Uncle ne woh baat ki tujhse?
Darshan: Haan! Woh chahte he ki mein unke koi friend ke bhatiji se milu kal shaam ko 5 baje.
Jyugal: Kis liye?
Darshan: Shaadi ke liye! Woh chahte hai ki meri shaadi usse ho jae. Aur mene kal usse milne ke liye haan bhi keh diya!
Jyugal: Thik hai! Phir problem kya hai?
Darshan looks across the river to the side. There's a silence in the air.
Jyugal: Heli?
Darshan looks at him with a sad expression.
Jyugal: Did you talk to her?
Darshan: I called her many times today, but she texted me one thing.
Jyugal: Usne kya Kaha?
Darshan: It's over! Don't call or text me again.
Jyugal: Usko ab koi rishta nahi rakhna hai. That's full and final!
Darshan: I guess so!
Jyugal: Agar woh tumhara 3 saal ka relationship aise hi chod ke jaa sakhti hai toh woh tumse kabhi pyaar karti thi?
Darshan stays silent and looks up at the sky.
Jyugal: Darshan, don't take me wrong with this! If she's moving on then, tum bhi move on karo. Agar Uncle ne tumhare liye koi ladki chuni hai toh soch samaj kar hi yeh faisla liya hoga. Tum usse mil lo aur agar pasand aae toh problem hi kya hai!
Darshan: Pata nahi par mein Heli ko apne dimaag se hi nahi nikal paa raha hoon.
Jyugal: Agar idhar Devdas banke baitha rahega na toh nahi nikal paega for sure. Iss Devdas wale zone se bahar nikal aur move on karle. Show Heli that you can find someone better than her in your life.
Darshan: Sahi hai! Waise bhi kabhi Pappa ki meine suni hi nahi hai par iss baar sunke dekhte hai. Pata nahi kal kya hoga?
Jyugal: Jo bhi hoga accha hi hoga. Chill kar! Mujhe uss ladki ki photo dikhana baadme.
Darshan: Tu bhi kal mere saath chal raha hai as a moral supoort.
Jyugal: Thik hai. Chal ab ghar jaate hai warna police wale danda maar ke bhejenge.
Darshan: Kyu maarenge?
Jyugal: Woh raat ko idhar zyada der tak log allowed nahi hai! Kyuki kuch ishq ke maare log yaha sucide attempt karte hai par koi nahi marta.
Darshan: Woh toh acchi baat hai!
Jyugal: Haan hai! Chal ab mein ghar jaate hoon warna sawalo ki baarish hogi ghar pe.
Darshan: Haan! Kal 4 baje ke pehle aaja na.
Jyugal: Thik hai. Bye!

What will happen when Darshan and Jaimi meet each other? Will Heli come back to Darshan? Will the two find an excuse to say no for marriage!
