The institution episode 36

****

Ivie returned back to Liam's house.
She took a her a long shower, spending most of the time examining her changing body, especially her breast.

She squeezed softly on it, Liam wasn't wrong about the increase! The tenderness too.
She soon got out wearing a red robe, she saw her the phone of her light dim off.
She picked it up, realizing she had a missed call from Shade. The phone rang again, she picked it up this time.
"Where are you?" Shade asked, "I'm at Liam's place"
"I'll be there in let's say thirsty minutes"
Why?" Ivie asked and Shade hung up .
Shade knocked and she opened up, "You sounded strange on phone, what's up?" Ivie  asked and Shade smiled removing a Pregnancy test pack from her hand bag.
"Oh God, no way"
"Yes way!" She made her way in forcefully and Ivie rolled her eyes.
"Shade"
"Don't even Shade me! That's how you'll be denying pregnancy. That was how you did the last time, it was until you fainted you decided to believe you were pregnant. Madam, you had better go into the bathroom and start exercising those bladder" she handed the pack to her, "Three tests" she muttered and Ivie rolled her eyes.
"How about I wait till in the morning?"
"Go!"

Delilah opened the door to Babylon's room only to find him a naked girl riding on top of him. She got off the moment she noticed her presence.
Babylon hissed. He knew this sister was going to start complaining.
"This is just digusting!" She snapped deeply distraughted, "Get out of this room" she demanded stretching her hands at door and the girl dragged her clothes rushing out of the room.
"What are you doing Delilah?"
"That should be my question Babylon, what are you doing? My son just got transferred to the main prison and you're here having sex with a prostitute and moaning like an idiot"
"I've got it covered"
"Do you Babylon? Do you?  Cause if you did, he wouldn't have gotten to that prison gate, you would have put someone else in his stead. He ought to have been on a flight to any country of his choice right now"
"It's not a smart move Delilah. We'll let the issue die down. Give or take, lets say two weeks. In between the whole election fervour; when no one is talking about Efe when it's all about who will win the election, we'll do what we have to do. For now, the case is still very much hot."
Delilah sighed.
Babylon did have a point there.
"For the main time, try and visit your son. It's not fair, you can't be so stucked up with your rules. He needs you to pay some sort of visit to him"

Ivie sat on the toilet seat waiting for the result of the third test. In the first test,  two lines appeared. Of course she knew the implication of it so in order to double check, she took two more.
Two lines appeared again.
She got out of the bathroom and Shade who was now in Liam's room smiled.
"I know that face! It was postive right?"
"Yes but I might still have to check the hospital. I don't want to be too excited for nothing"
"Abegi! You're pregnant, come on, it's your season, you need to be happy, you need to smile. Everything is working for good, you're going to get married soon, all this craziness will stop and you're going to start having kids. Babe I'm so happy for you dear" she hugged her and Ivie chuckled.

Ivie pulled Liam's closer to her after he got back then they both shared a long and passionate kiss.
"What's the occasion?" He asked and she smiled.
"So. I told Shade about the pregnancy thing and she came in a while ago with some test strips and I did the test and it was postive"
Liam slowly untied the belt of her robe then he kissing her bare belly, "I love baby" he confessed and she smiled.
"I love you too"
"Actually i was talking to our baby but you know I love you right?" He asked and she nodded feeling a bit embarrassed.
"I'm scared" she confessed and Liam wondered why. He didn't need to ask, she could read the expression off his face.
"I'm scared of having the problem I had the other time, I mean the pregnancy was so delicate, and I ended up losing my baby because I couldn't deal with the bad energies around"
"You don't have to worry about that cause I'll make sure to fill you with all the positive energy in the world"
"You've forgotten we are waging war against the government"
Liam rolled his eyes.
"Why don't you sit this out"
"Don't even try it, I'll just get mad at you! Don't even ask me to. As much as I want to bring my child into this world safely, I can't afford to miss out of the joy of participating in this revenge"
"I really can't convince you can I?"
"No" she answered and he smiled.
"I've always wanted to be a father"
"And you'll make an amazing one" she answered kissing him then he wrapped his hands around her waist and she jumped on him wrapping her legs around him and he deepened the kiss.
Then he took her into the room.

28th, January 2019

"Have you started taking your vitamins?" Mrs Oscar asked Ivie and she shook her head.
"Mom we found out about this on Saturday"
"It doesn't matter. Ivie dear, remember that agbo I promised you, I think it's time I call Iya Ramota or should I call Iya Biliki like this? Or..." She trailed off and Ivie chuckled.
"Ma it's a growing fetus"
"Even though the baby is as tiny as ant, it deserves to be well fed. This is the time William has to be a man, you need to be prepared to massage her legs whenever you get back from work. The legs will get swollen oh"
"I love this part" Ivie grinned and Liam scoffed.
"Why won't you?"
"Mom the leg doesn't gets swollen till 6 or seven months. I read it online" he argued and his mom slapped him on the arm.
"You'll massage her day and night, most times you'll even cook for her to eat. Make her feel like a princess"
"Have you heard? You'll cook for me to eat and make me feel like a princess"  Ivie smiled and he laughed hard.
"That was how my late husband treated me. I really enjoyed that man oh. And you too Ivie, you don't have to be lazy, you'll exercise yourself too"
"Mom right now you're just contradicting yourself" Liam laughed again and his Mom raised hands to hit him and he moved two steps back.
"Oniranu! Let me just respect you because you're having a child" she dragged Ivie to the chair and Liam rolled his eyes.
"There's erm... this thing I read online" she brought out her phone swiping it.
"About pregnant women of this generation"
"Mom, today is a big day and we sorta have plans" Liam blinked his eyes at Ivie, who shrugged.
"Time" he mouthed then he pointed at his wrist, "What am I supposed to do?" She mouthed back.

Immediately Liam got to the parking lot of Trance Fm, he met two females fans who wanted to take pictures with him.
"Thank you Mr integrity" the two ladies appreciated before leaving and he wondered why they called him that.
He simply waved it off entering into the building only to be called the same name by his receptionist, Agnes.
"What's going on with that nick name? ls it supposed to mean something?"
"Are you not aware?"
"Of what?"
"All category award, ACA. You've been nominated for the Best On air personality in Benin and your name tag was Mr integrity" Agnes answered showing him a screenshot of the news on her phone and Liam giggled at how funny his head looked in the picture.
"Why wasn't I informed?"
"I'm sure they must informed you before the announcement, check your emails, missed calls perhaps" she suggested and he smiled.
"I'll do that when I get to my office or after my show" he answered with a smile.
"You're glowing like a pregnant woman Sir" she commented and he laughed.
"That's funny, maybe it's just the excitement of how the day is going to look like"
"And how do you think it'll look like Sir?"
"I think it's going to take some people's breathe away" he answered heading towards the stairscase.
His phone rang and he picked up the call.
"What's up?' he asked, "We're in position and we're about to exercute the plan" Rita informed.
"Good"

Liam entered into the studio taking over from the news casting team.
"Good morning beautiful people of Benin City. It's a wonderful morning and I have a feeling it's going to be a day we will live to remember. A day that will open people's eyes to the truth and what's that truth? Let me not ruin the suspense but I can tell you it will be mind blowing." He paused then he cleared his throat.
"So I have a few announcement to make since today is promising to be good already. I just found out about a surprise nomination for best OAP  in the state and I'm so excited about it but if I'm being truthful, I didn't like the picture they used but I'm honored by the nomination. Now I have Mr integrity added to my already long list of nick names. The second announcement is that I'm getting married good people. I proposed to my girlfriend and I know the church might get pissed off and all, but it's with so much joy I announce that we're expecting a baby. I do hope it's a girl that will be as beautiful as her mother." He announced and Monica have him a thumbs up.
"So today's topic will be general, feel free to send in your complains or opinions; the phone lines are opened and you can send us messages via Facebook. I'll be ready to answer."
A call came in immediately and it ended before he could pick. "I'm sorry whoever that was, you can try calling back or you can"
Another call came in before he could complete his statement and he it picked up.
"Good morning, what's your name and where are you calling from" "Na your regular, Emeka number 1"
"Hey, how far nah? What is it you have to share with us this morning"
"First I want to triple-congratulate you first, for the award cause I dey see you dey hold the award already; secondly, I hope say na the girl way you being dey talk about the day"
"Na she oh"
"Wow.. Now now now she don carr belle. Mehn Jafar! You na sharp shooter oh!" He commented and Liam laughed throwing his head back.
"I know say your mumcy go dey happy now. She no go disturb you to marry again"
"You have no idea"

Delilah barged into her husband's office only to see him with a earpiece in his ears. He quickly took the earpiece off.
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing"
"Let me guess, listening to that useless Fm again right?"
"Can you believe the idiot is getting married? Who knew he had a social life? People are just calling in to congratulate him as if he's a god. I still don't understand why people like this idiot? It baffles me"
"Are we going to make this a topic? When we have other pressing issues"
"Like?"
"I can't believe this man just asked me that question. Your son!"
"Babylon told me he already told you the plan to wait until he still being a topic of interest""
Delilah micmicked him inaudibly and he shook his head.
"How did I meet this man?"
"Woman why are you disturbing me?"

"What kind of Governor are you?" Delilah ranted and Samuel rolled his eyes. "Are we going to go though this this morning? Are we really going to do this?"
"Yes Samuel. We are"
"You come to the office and you say the same thing every time, woman don't make me angry cause I'm about to die of an heart attack courtesy of you. All you've done since our son was arrested is to complain about me not using my power well. If you think it's easy come and sit on the throne and see how hot it has been lately. Pressure from left, right and center"
"What's putting pressure on you"
"Everything! Even you! If Nothing kills me, Delilah if there's anything that will kill me, it won't be anything but heart attack. Do you know how I've been feeling of recent? Can you believe what people were saying on Saturday? On that fool's show? They said I didn't do anything for eight years"
"And who bloody cares what they say?"
"That's why it's called public opinion" Yuwa entered.
"Good morning to you two"
"Good morning to you two?" Delilah snapped, Sometimes I'm tempted to think this is a den and there are only animals living here"
"Thank God I'm not the one living here, I don't even live here. I visit" she laughed and Delilah glared at her.
"Sorry" she apologized taking her seat.
"What's the problem?"
"Your father is proving to be non-challant"
"Just like the people in this state are saying that i am useless. What about that fly over I built for them"
"Why is it that when governors build fly overs they feel like they've done everything in life?" Yuwa asked and Samuel scoffed.
"I'm sorry Dad but like my girlfriend will say"
"You're a lady Yuwa, no one wants to hear you talk about your girlfriend!" Delilah shouted in rage.
"You haven't done anything to affect their lives, to alleviate poverty"
"Does your girlfriend in anyway support SDPN?"
"This is where I draw the curtains and leave. I came here because I heard dad shouting and I whenever he does, it's always as if he'll fall down and die. I wanted to lighten up the whole room but with you in the room, heaven knows even thousands ray of sunshine will not make this place bright" she snapped and the Governor Chief guard walked into the governor's office .
"Sir there are people outside the gate protesting"
"Over what? Don't they know where Aso rock is?" Delilah snapped, "Why are all these people do relentless?" Delilah snapped.
"Send them off!" She added.
The Chief security stared at the governor and he slapped his palm on his face. "Let me go and see them"
"We're still talking"
"For what I know Lilah, we ended our discussion the moment you walked in" he rose up and Delilah shut her eyes then she tightened her fist.

"We are standing just outside the governor's house.  It's a miracle but there's a protest going on right now and you won't believe who the leading figures of the protest are." Rita turned back at the protesters who were singing 'Solidarity forever'.
"We have Eghosa ,Dennis Aboh, Ada Agho, Jeremaiah Christian among many others. I'm pretty sure what will be on everyone's mind would be, how in the world are they alive? It's like the dead has been ressurected back to life. Same question I had in mind too. This is Rita Dickson reporting from DTV"

🎶 Solidarity forever, solidarity forever, solidarity forever we shall always fight for our right 🎶

Every protesters chanted.
They were willing to wait until the Governor comes out.
Governor Samuel soon approached the gate with Delilah who followed him at the back to find out what the protest was all about.
His heart leapt the moment he laid eyes on Eghosa. It was like he had just seen a ghost, "Impossible" he muttered still moving closer and Eghosa moved closer to the gate holding the bar and then pressed her head against it.
"Hello Samuel"
"Ha..ha.. how is this"he stammered, "Possible?" She asked laughing.
"You look like you've just seen a ghost" she asked and his legs trembled where he stood.
"If I'm a ghost, I guess I'm here to haunt you then" she laughed and Samuel touched his chest then he moved backwards till he staggered to the floor then he fainted.
