【*Ding, Story Progress: -99% 】
Suddenly the progress changed.
The Villain was slightly surprised, she hadn't done anything in the meantime and she had been keeping tabs on princess Mirabelle and prince Valentine but noticed no change.
Still she couldn't pay too much attention to it now as she was busy with Jun.
Jun was walking around the rose garden pavilion with Sylvia, he was anxious, he had been anxious ever since Sylvia declared he no longer had to cook for her.
Still he felt happy, extremely happy. He was going to marry Sylvia soon after all. Now he was accompanying her around the rose garden in order to spend time with her, as well as keep her by his side.
Sylvia bent down as she looked at the flowers, they had such a pleasant sweet aroma.
As if reading her thoughts Jun smiled and reached down for Sylvia's hand.
"Your scent is the sweetest." He gentlly spoke laying a kiss on her hand. Truly he loved her scent, it was a faint calming aroma of florals mixed with spice.
Suddenly a guard ran up from the rose garden path.
Jun looked at the guard with dark eyes, this was his personal time with Sylvia.
"What is it?"
The guard breathed out of breath. "That-that is, the one we were supposed to capture has escaped..."
"What!" Jun's anger began to show as he unconsciously released his powers showing a dark aura around him.
Sylvia was confused looking at the two, who were they talking about?
Jun smiled back at Sylvia as he looked at her. "~Ah, today our time shall end early, I shall accompany you back."
Sylvia refused to walk.
"Who are you talking about?"
"It doesn't matter, let's go back-"
Just as he was speaking this, a sudden gust of malicious killing intent filled the air.
"YOU! I'LL KILL YOU!" Suddenly Prince Keefe ran out of the foliage.
Jun's anger surged, all this time he had secretly put the man under trial to be arrested as he was still unsure if Sylvia cared for the man, yet now he was appearing here, in front of his princess!
Jun reached for the sword at his side, quickly he pulled it out and rushed towards the enemy.
'You just had to show up right now, in front of her!' Jun bitterly clenched his fists.
Quickly he slashed the sword.
"Ha! You think you're the only one who knows how to use a sword!" Prince Keefe slashed back.
Jun made sure to keep the man focused on him so as not to get near Sylvia.
The guard who had been running to deliver the news stood by Sylvia's side. "I-I will take you back immediately."
Sylvia looked at the two men fighting, she stood in place.
Inwardly she wondered if Prince Keefe was somehow related to the decreasing progress. It was quite possible. She surmised that if he was, he probably didn't talk to Prince valentine due to their strained relationship, but rather, probably said something to Princess Mirabell to make her blacken.
Without thinking about it further she looked back at the guard and spoke. "I will not leave."
"B-but, I'm sure the King doesn't want you to watch." The guard looked at her with worried eyes, if she got hurt the King would surely have his head.
"I am staying."
Jun heard Sylvia and his mood turned even more bitter. 'Does she care for the prince? Does she want to watch in order to make sure the prince isn't harmed...'
On the other hand, Sylvia's thoughts were completely different.
'The plot still hasn't reached -100% so I can't die, but Jun can. If Jun's life is in danger I will simply jump in.' Like this she continued to observe the fight.
Jun continued to block the blows, his mood turning more and more sour.
"Haha, how could such a weakling become King?!" Prince Keefe began mocking, only worsening Jun's mood.
Jun wasn't sure if he should use full strength, if he killed the prince would Sylvia hate him? He wasn't sure, all he knew was that he didn't want to scare of his bride to be.
He was incredibly happy with her by his side, if she saw the darkness welling inside him would she still accept him?
Still, as he began to believe Sylvia held love for prince Keefe, he slowly began to twist, his anger took over.
As he passed blows he no longer cared weather she would hate him for what he was to do.
He simply couldn't stand the idea of her loving another man.
With resolve, in the next instant he released his dark power.
The surrounding area turned pitch black.
Sylvia saw Jun release his power and grew slightly worried, she could no longer see the battle, or see the outcome, should she jump in?
As everything turned dark Jun calmed his mind and sensed his surroundings. In the pitch darkness he could feel the man nearing him.
He didn't care who it was, he would not let anyone take Sylvia away from him.
Just as he was about to raise his sword and strike, a bright light filled the air.
It was sudden and swift.
A bolt of lightning.
Suddenly electricity rang out and pierced prince Keefe.
"AHHHH!" Prince Keefe yelled out and fell unconscious.
"...."
All was quite.
The dark energy slowly cleared as Sylvia walked forward.
Now a few guards run up after hearing the commotion
They all stood stiff with wide eyes towards Sylvia after witnessing the scene.
She had aimed a huge bolt of electricity towards the prince, now he was unconsciously twitching on the ground...
"Hurry up and arrest the prince! He has committed treason." Sylvia coldly spat as her dark eyes shone towards the unconscious pulsating man. She looked at the prince as though he were simple dirt on the ground.
Then with a cold gaze she turned her eyes towards Jun. She wasn't sure why he prolonged the fight but she had grown tired watching, annoyed she once again spoke. "It seems you need more sword practice."
With that she began to coldly walk off.
Jun stood stunned, he hadn't expected such development.
It seems his princess really didn't care for the man...
She really didn't care about prince Keefe.
"..."
"... Ha...
"HAhaha"
He began to laugh at his idiotic self. He was incredibly happy.
She instantly changed everything, he no longer felt the pain well up inside him.
She truly was his light in the darkness.
She always surprised him. He was mesmerized by her, yes, he truly loved her.
No matter how cold she was to him, he always wanted to be by her side, he wanted to continue seeing new sides of her.
After a moment he regained himself and watched her fleeting figure, quickly he turned his dark eyes to look down at the electrocuted man and back up at the guards.
"He no longer has the right to trail, today he has proven his actions through treason. From now on he can rot in Dandars head prison where he can remain for life."
Like that, an unconscious prince Keefe was dragged away and Jun chased after his princess.
After that day prince Keefe was thoroughly arrested and never allowed out of prison ever again.
A few weeks later he would be sentenced to hang after he was found to be one of the sole conspirators of the "incident," but for now he was to simply stay in prison.
Unfortunately the day he had planned to kill Jun he had planned a backup scheme.
For what the Villain had suspected came true, earlier in the day before confronting Jun he had talked to a certain princess.
Although she had hated him over the years for his schemes against prince Valentine, in her darkest time he had managed to entice her.
"A couple drops of this will cause a quick death. Once prince Valentine becomes King, he will surely take you back."
*Desert: I will release another chapter today in a bit! Also it may feel like the dramatic scenes are cut short... but that's just because these are the earlier arcs, just wait and see later on :}
