i rolled my eyes and laughed. so did everyone else. i realized that dixie was really quiet during the whole conversation. i didn't think it was anything so i shrugged it off. we all continued talking until dixie asked me to talk with her in the hallway.
nick's pov
i woke up early cause i had jetlag. i got home last night pretty late from seeing my mom back home. anyway, i got out of bed and went to the kitchen to get some food. i got there but there wasn't anything i wanted so i was gonna go see if ryland was up for some fortnite. i took out my phone and and started walking upstairs and i boomed into someone. i didn't recognize her so she must be a avani's cousin y/n

i watched y/n walk back to mia's room. she's really cute. but she probably doesn't like me. we only just met 5 seconds ago. anyway, i walked up to rylands room and of course he was already awake. i walked in and sat next to him putting on a headset and picking up a controller
ry: hey buddy how was your flight
nick: it was alright. how come no one said y/n was here
ry: oh it was late and i guess we just forgot. why?
nick: oh no reason. i just ran into her this morning
ry: ooo buddy has crush
nick: what. no......
i said smiling and my face went a little red
ry: yeah you do. you're literally blushing so hard right now.
nick: yeah ok. but it's not like she'll like me back
ry: you never know. i saw y/n go into her room and they were all squealing after a few seconds. bet you 20 bucks it was about you
nick: yeah right. we just met. she probably had no idea who i was until just then
ry: then why did she like all your posts
nick: wait she did
ry: yeah check for yourself
he showed me his phone and who liked my photos
nick: she probably didn't realize
ry: pff sure. i bet she was fangirling so hard on the inside
nick: whatever can we just play
ry: geez no need to get catty

i said as i punched him in the arm. he whined and i laughed at him. during the whole match i couldn't stop thinking about y/n. her soft hazel eyes, the way her hair falls down her shoulders, her smile. ugh that smile.... NO NICK STOP. she doesn't like you. unless.....
NO. she doesn't. maybe? you know what im just gonna stop thinking about her. me and ryland finished the match and i went on tiktok. i looked at y/n's account and she was following me on tiktok too. maybe she did know who i was. maybe i actually had a shot. i followed her back and liked a couple of her videos. i made a few as well but i decided not to post them yet.
that was basically the whole day. everyone made tiktok and posted on on instagram. i ran into y/n again
y/n: oh hey nick!
nick: hey
y/n: do you guys do anything else here besides tiktok?
nick: haha not really
y/n: wow ok
you know what?
nick: what
y/n: we are going to go somewhere
nick: we are
y/n: yep. it'll give us a chance to get to know eachother. since you're the only person i don't know that well
nick: true true. i'll call the uber
