I woke up with my new skincare line on my mind and how I was going to find the ingredients that I need to make it happen.
Getting dressed for work in a business suit and my hair up in a bun I am ready for work. Grabbing my bag I head out and once in the elevator I glance down at my watch.
I walk outside and jump in my red Tesla roadster heading downtown to my office. I really need to talk to Sidney and get on this right away because time is money.
Walking into the office building I am greeted by Travis our security at the door.
"Good morning Ms. Kane!" He smiled.
"Morning Travis! Have you seen Sidney?" I ask him.
"Yeah, she just walked in before you." He said.
"Ok great and my brother?" I ask.
"No, not yet." He laughs.
"Geez, he's always late but thank you!" I said.
Taking the elevator up to the 17th floor and as soon as the doors open I see Sidney. "Once I get situated can you come to my office please?"
"Sure I'll be right there just going to get our lattes first." She smiles.
I sit down and start going through some papers when Sidney walks in my office with two cups.
"Ok, what is it that you want to talk about?" She grabs her pen and paper.
"To get this skincare line going I need organic fruits green apples specifically so I need you to find me an organic farm. I don't care how far I have to crawl across the world to get the best. So please see what you can find Sid." I smile at her.
{Knock on the door}
"Come in!" I call.
Derrick smiles. "Hey, sis! Travis said you were looking for me."
"Yes I was I have some contracts I need you to look over for me please," I said.
Aunt Shelly tried very hard to take care of us. She put us both through college and I love having my brother work with me daily. He went to college to be a lawyer and he's a damn fine one at that and that's why I hired him.
"Ok let me go set my stuff down and I'll be back to see what you got." He said.
"Thanks, Derrick," I said.
A little while later he walks back in to look over files. "Sis this needs to be worded better before I would sign this." He said.
"I was supposed to meet up with Kevin from keepsakes cosmetics today about that so I will ask him for another day," I said.
I pull out my phone to send him a text.
📱Kevin Hey! It's Holland listen I need another day on this proposal. Derrick is changing a few things. How about lunch on Monday?
📱Lunch Monday let's say at 12 sounds fine with me.

"I really hope he comes alone." I groan.
"Why's that Holl?" Derrick asks.
"Because his business partner is creepy." I sigh.
"Oh that Stan guy?" He asks.
"Yeah last time we went to lunch and Kevin stepped to the bathroom he said I could have whatever I wanted if I rode his cock," I said.
"He did what?? That nasty piece of work why didn't you tell me?" He said.
"You think I cant handle myself? I told him where he could put it." I laugh.
After looking over a few more contracts and sign them I spend the rest of the morning on the phone with cosmetic distributors. By the time lunch rolled around I was ready for a nap.
Sidney peeps her head in the door. "Hey, Holl come to the conference room I went and got us lunch."
I follow her out the door. " Oooh was your favorite waiter working?" I laugh.
Derrick laughs. "Who Greg? I wondered why she went there so much."
"I happen to think he's cute," Sidney said.
I air quote her exact words. "She would like to run her fingers through his curls."
"Haaay! You weren't supposed to tell that Holl." Sidney giggles.
"He is one of my friends Sidney so I'll ask around if he's single," Derrick said.
"God I'm so embarrassed." Sidney giggles. "Oh, Holl I got a call into an organic ranch in Texas and waiting on a callback."
"I hope we hear something today I really need to get on this asap," I said.
After cleaning up the conference room I head back to my office but is stopped in my tracks by a guy who works on the floor below.
"Hi, James!" I smile.
"Hey there Holland! I just came up to see if you wanted to grab dinner with me tonight." He said.
"You know what I would love to but I have so much work to catch up on and I may have to fly out tomorrow to meet with some distributors that I just can't. Raincheck?" I ask him.
"Sure sounds good just let me know when." He smiles.
After he is back on the elevator Sidney smiles." He's cute why didn't you go?"
"Because he wants more than dinner and I'm not interested. I mean he's cute and I could definitely use some relief but yeah that's not for me." I sighed.
"I know after your break up with Adam things have been hard." She frowns.
"Yeah walking in to catch him in my bed with another guy was quiet shocking and really hurt me," I said.
"Have you heard from him?" She asks.
"Yeah a few times and the idiot keeps sending roses to the house and calls but I won't answer him because I have nothing to say," I said.
"I don't blame you on that Holland he better be glad that Derrick didn't kill him." She laughs.
"Oh I know he wanted to though," I said.
"Come on Holl James seems so nice and he just asked for dinner why don't you just go? It won't hurt and you could use the night off." She pointed out.
"You know what you are right I am going to text him now." I smile.
📱Hey James! I changed my plans so if you still want to have dinner tonight I'm down.

I sit down at my desk and smile. It's about time I go out and have some fun I'm just so stressed out.
{Intercom beeps:}
"Yes?"
"Holl I got ahold of Maple Falls Ranch and I'm just waiting to hear back from Mr. Maverick," Sidney said.
"Ok when he calls back put him through and thank you, Sid. Oh, and I took your advice and I'm having dinner with James tonight at 7."
"Yah I'm so happy for you! I want details tomorrow." She giggles.
"You got it! Thanks, Sid.
