-AMIKO'S POV-
My eyes fluttered open as I heard beeping coming from the side of me. I looked around and noticed I was in a hospital room. The room was empty and the TV played on a low volume.
I adjusted myself but felt pain to my side. I winced before the doctor came in with a bright smile.
"I'm glad I came in just in time." She smiled and I just stared at her blankly.
"Do you remember what happened?" She asked as she grabbed her clipboard and pen. I closed my eyes before taking a deep breath before seeing myself shoot Rosco.
I remembered the whole night and I opened my eyes before looking at her.
"Do you?" She asked and i nodded.
"Okay. You suffered from a gunshot to your arm, thigh, hip, and shoulder. I'm glad your alive because the bullets we pulled out of you are deadly. Your a strong women and you have very nice friends who care for you." She smiled.
"Is it okay if I send them back? I know their waiting to see you." She said and i nodded. Before she left, she made sure to tell me one more thing leaving me in deep thought.
I sighed before looking out the window. I've never been in so much pain in my life. I actually thought I was gonna die.
I began to feel dizzy, weak. I heard the door open and I saw Nia and Tae before they ran to me.
"Oh Bestie!" Nia cried as she hugged me. I gave Tae a hug before Brandon, Polo, Kel, and the kids. I was waiting for Benji to hug me but he just stared at me with sad eyes. He stood from a far like he didn't want to walk near me.
I gave him a small smile but it faded as he just stared at me. I know he was probably thinking this was his fault.
"Y'all, can y'all excuse me and Benji. We need to talk." I said and they nodded before getting up and walking out. I scooted over even though it hurted like shit and patted the space that was beside me.
"Come sit by me." I said and he walked over.
"Ion wanna hurt you." He said and I chuckled to myself.
"Benji get up here." I said and he hesitated before doing as told. He got in the bed with me and he wrapped his arm around me before kissing my forehead.
"Benji it's not your fault okay? You don't have to beat yourself up about it. I know that's what you been doing." I said looking at him. He chuckled before shaking his head.
"I just feel like it's my fault. I got you into this shit now you got shot 4 times. That shit crazy man and I blame me for it. It was my problem, not yours." He said.
"No. I chose to do what I did and it backfired on me. I just got to accept it." I said and he rubbed my hands.
"The man that murdered my parents is gone." He said and i nodded with a smile.
"Yup. So no more worries." I said and he chuckled to himself, but then I thought of Ryder. We sat in silence before he spoke up.
"My parents were good people but they did their dirt. My father was in the drug game. Shared it with Rosco. They were the best of friends. Rosco had a jealousy problem. He wanted everything my father had. The house, cars, wife. My dad's side of the organization made millions of money and Rosco's didn't get anywhere. Rosco wanted my dads side so he did it the worst way possible. Killing him and my mom just because she was there and no witnesses. Me, Brandon and the kids were gone on a road trip with my aunt. Came back to some foul shit like that. It was a tape found and every time I go back and look at that, it pisses me off. Watching Rosco torture my father and rape my mom and beat her to death makes me black out and hurt anything in my way." He said and i shook my head.
I felt bad and I knew how he had felt. He lost his parents and has been on his own. He's had to fight for himself and his siblings.
"It's okay Benji. All the problems in your life only makes you stronger." I said.
I yawned before he kissed my forehead once more.
"I love you Miko. Real shit. You saved me from meeting heaven twice. Ain't no girl did that for me. You a loyal one on my team and I appreciate you for real." He said and i smiled before I yawned again.
"I love you more." I said and I began to feel dizzy again. I made a face in pain and Benji gave me a concerned look.
"You okay?" He asked and i nodded. I began to feel a headache coming so I just laid my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes. Just a nap that I needed to take.
-BENJI'S POV-
As I was sleep, I woke up to the sound of the monitor beeping. Looking over at it, the line was straight. I began to panic as I shook Miko. She wasn't moving and her body looked lifeless.
"Miko? Baby wake up!" I said but I got no response. I began to panic as the nurses swarmed around the room.
"You need to leave!" One yelled at me as the pushed me out. I looked through the window of the door before watching them shock her. I palmed my face before squeezing my fist but I felt something in my hand.
Opening it, it was a piece of paper. I read it and it was an address. It said "go here". I grew confused as to how it got in my hand but I knew it had to be Miko's slickness. I walked to the waiting room and grabbed the guys before walking outside to my truck.
"Follow me." I said and they got in their trucks before I pulled off to the address that was written on the paper. My thumb tapped on the wheel as I drove to the destination. I don't even know why I left Miko, but this address had me wondering.
After a while of driving, I pulled up to some warehouse. I raised a brow before taking in my surroundings.
I heard a knock on my window and it was Polo. I let my window down and he took a glance at the warehouse.
"Where we at?" He asked as he looked around.
I got out my truck before seeing the rest of the guys walk up to me.
"Ion know but this was in my hand and I know Miko put it there." I said and Brandon chuckled to himself.
"Well let's see what's inside." Brandon said and I took my gun out before walking to the large door. I slid it open and I was amazed. Now I've seen so much shit like this, but this was quite different.
This wasn't no normal ammunition, this was that military equipment.
"Bro, where the fuck she find this?" Kel asked as he looked around. I wanted to know the same thing. How did she find this shit.
I looked at all the guns, bombs, rocket launchers and more.
"Man this some real shit." I said as I picked up one of the M16A4's before admiring it. The rest did the same before Polo picked up one of the rocket launchers.
"Put that down. We all know you one clumsy motherfucka." Brandon told him and I chuckled. I really did appreciate Miko for this shit but I had questions.
"Ight y'all, lets go." I said because I had to get back to Miko. We walked out and Kel closed the large door before he hopped in the truck with me. I drove back to the hospital so I could be by Miko's side.
I texted Nia telling her to tell me anything since I hadn't made it yet. Minutes passed by and I pulled up to the hospital before getting out. I walked inside and we made it to the waiting room. Nia stood up before walking towards me.
"She's back up and doing well. She had just passed out. That was all. We can't go back there yet." Nia said and I nodded as I took a seat.
As I let my thoughts take over me, I looked up and saw men walk inside the hospital. I raised a brow as one of them stood out to me but I didn't recognize him.
There were deep. They were dressed in all black and were buff guys as well. The one that stood out looked at me before walking to the lady at the desk.
He whispered something in her ear and she said something to him but I couldn't hear it. He looked at me before walking down the hall.
I looked at Nia as she never took her eyes off the man. I mushed her shoulder with mines and she looked at me.
"You know him?" I asked and she nodded.
"That's Luis. Miko's dad." She said and my eyes almost bulged.
