"so this is us after one shot of pink whitney," natalia held the camera in the air after the entire group took a shot.
"yessirrr," alvaro put his face into the camera. natalia stopped recording and grabbed her backpack, pushing her phone in between her clothes and towel so it wouldn't over heat while they were in the water.
"come on, let's go in!" alejandro held his hand out for natalia, natalia grabbing it. he pulled her up and the two walked towards the water, sierra and ivy following them.
natalia and alejandro went knee deep into the water while sierra and ivy only went ankle deep, but natalia raised an eyebrow as she seen mattia and ezequiel running towards the girls.
"oh they're gonna get thrown in," alejandro watched, a smile on both alejandros and natalias faces as mattias arms wrapped around sierras waist and her body went over his shoulder.
"i swear to-" sierra went under a wave as mattia held her, ivy yelling at ezequiel to put her down but soon enough, ezequiel threw ivy into the water.
"your turn," alejandro wrapped his arms around natalias waist as he spun her around, releasing her and laughing as she went underneath the water. as alejandros hands came in contact with natalias waist, she got this familiar feeling in her stomach. her heart rate increased and she got light headed at the sound of his laugh. she missed this feeling, she missed it a lot.
"oh, you asshole!" natalia laughed, splashing alejandro and then wrapping her arms around him. the water was cold, but it felt good on alejandros body since he hasn't fully been in the water yet.
"doesn't the water feel nice?" alejandro laughed, natalia releasing him. truthfully, alejandro didn't want her to let go of him. he missed when she would hug him all the time.
the two were snapped out of their thoughts when they seen mattia and ezequiel carrying alvaro into the water, catherine and everyone else watching from a distance. alvaro shouted curse words at the two giants, but he was defenseless. they released him into the water, and as he came up he rubbed his eyes and flipped the two boys off, having his back turned from the waves that were coming.
a giant waved smacked him in his back and the group erupted into laughter, natalia shaking her head. she felt someone standing next to her, seeing sierra and mattia.
"i just think it's unfair how us girls get targeted because we're smaller than these fuckers," sierra punched mattia and then folded her arms. mattia playfully rubbed his arm and laughed. alvaro walked towards the friends and they laughed at him, irritation all over his face.
"do ya'll remember when mattia called a dolphin, a shark? his blind ass," alejandro laughed, mattia rolling his eyes.
"shut up because your panicked ass left me behind to swim to shore," natalia rolled her eyes, laughing as she thought about the memory. that memory, her favorite memory of the three of them.
"and then natalia got in trouble by ale because she almost drowned and laughed about it," mattia chuckled. natalia and alejandro laughed as they nodded, natalia shaking her head at the thought of death.
"we're all going to die some day, might as well make the best out of terrible situations," she shrugged. sierra watched as the trio laughed and a small smile formed on her face. she could see it in his eyes when he looked at natalia that she was his number one, and even though it pained her, she couldn't do anything about it. she excused herself from the group and returned to her friends who were now tanning.

as the day came to an end, the group returned to the airbnb and showered the sand off of them, each of them walking to the backyard when they were done as the boys gathered things to get a bonfire going. they were all sober, but not for long of course.
this was going to be one full week of intoxication, but with good vibes only. things were truly getting better between them all and they were finally bonding as a group.
"i wanna go to sleep," leslie stood next to natalia. natalia furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head.
"yeah, no. since william was born, you don't get to enjoy yourself and i understand that's responsibilities but you're with us right now, so you're not going to sleep," natalia pulled leslies arm. leslie and natalia sat down around the unlit bonfire and included themselves in the conversation the other girls were having.
"i'm just saying, this pizzagate shit and everything else happening is crazy," ivy threw her phone on the table and shook her head. she ran a hand through her hair as she looked up to see ezequiel looking at her. "yes?"
"you're so beautiful," ezequiel sighed, holding his heart. the widest smile appeared on ivy's face and the girls laughed at her as the two had a light blush on their face.
and as the conversation picked up about pizzagate, natalia watched alejandro and mattia mess with the matches they were suppose to use to light the bonfire. but by the time the two boys actually decided to light the fire, the matches would be gone.
natalia's eyes shifted from the two boys and onto catherine, alvaro, and kairi. catherine was messing with alvaro's hair, trying to style it because he had a very awkward hairstyle right now. he didn't know how to style it at all.
natalia personally thought he should just go back to the edgar cut. but then again, he sort of did look a tad bit better with a head full of hair.
"bruh," alvaro ran a hand through his messy hair. "we'll worry about this another time."
"no," catherine smacked his hand, alvaro furrowing his eyebrows and pulling his hand away from her. kairi laughed and sat on the chair that was next to them.
alejandro watched natalia make observations on everyone, not realizing that mattia was watching him watch her. mattia laughed at the boy and pushed him.
"am i still allowed to be your best man?" mattia asked, alejandro turning to mattia and letting out a quiet chuckle.
"yeah, if she even lets me marry her.. i pray she marries me," alejandro sighed, shaking his thoughts off. mattia nodded and looked at his feet.
"she loves you still, she won't let you get away." mattia patted his shoulder. "no matter how stubborn she may be right now, you guys are made for each other monkey boy."
alejandro and mattia took their attention off of each other as natalia and sierra began walking towards the two. both boys raised their eyebrows, both of them admiring their girls.
"start the bonfire, yeah?" sierra asked mattia, kissing his cheek. a cheeky smile appeared on mattia's face as he nodded, walking away from alejandro and towards the bonfire with matches and newspaper in his hand.
"what bottle do i bring out?" natalia asked alejandro. alejandro shrugged his shoulders and natalia glared at him, alejandro bringing his hand to the back of his neck.
"if looks could kill," he nervously laughed. "grab the patron."
"okay, pretty boy." natalia nodded, her and sierra walking away from him. alejandro watched the two girls walk off and shook his head, ezequiel laughing at alejandro.
she called him pretty boy again. he felt like things were going great, but he didn't want to get his hopes up. he also felt like he needed to find a new nickname for her asap, since he publicly called his rebound the nickname he gave natalia. he didn't realize how stupid he was for that until she called him out for it.
"your cheeks are red bro, she made you blush." ezequiel smiled.
"oh shut up," alejandro covered his face.

even though alejandro and natalia were sharing the same bed, he made sure a considerable amount of space was between them. he didn't want to accidentally cuddle her in their sleep like he did the first night.
alejandro was wide awake. he couldn't sleep for the life of him. he wasn't drunk, but he was a bit buzzed. his thoughts were traveling a hundred miles per hour.
natalia was passed out. she drank more than she should of and would be waking up with a huge bruise on her arm. she thought it would be a good idea to dance on tables even though she couldn't even walk. alejandro turned on his other side and looked at natalia, gently pushing her hair out of her face.
he sighed and closed his eyes, deciding he would try to go to sleep. but as soon as his eyes shut, they shot wide open when he could hear whimpers coming from natalia. following her whimpers were screams, and he didn't know what to do so he shook her awake.
natalia opened her eyes and was in a panicked state. she was having a nightmare, one that felt way too real to be just a nightmare.
"are you okay?" alejandro asked, the two sitting up in the bed. natalia paced her breathing and nodded, wiping the tears that fell from her eyes.
natalia lied back down and let out a quiet sigh, alejandro nodding and lying back down as well. alejandro hesitantly grabbed her hand, running his thumb over her palm gently. he pulled his hand away, but she grabbed it.
"can you hold me?" she asked him. alejandro was taken by surprise, but he nodded. natalia scooted into him and rested her head on his chest. he wrapped his arm around her and rubbed her back.
he wondered how he could ever hurt her. no matter how mad you are at someone, you don't intentionally hurt the people you love. and he did so much more than hurt her. he felt like she was damaged indefinitely, and it was all because of him.
