Chapter 33
An hour and a bit later I thought I'd show myself downstairs, there was still loads of people here, I guessed it was going to be full of people until about 9pm. Everyone spoke to me, telling me they were sorry for my loss and offering condolences. I got annoyed and bored after the 50 millionth person said it. I found Joel and Sam outside sat at the table,
"Hey"
"Hey..."
"You two hiding from them all?" I asked,
"Needed a little breather, dealing with all those people talking about Dad is hard work, though some of the stories I've been told" Joel said sighing, Sam took his hand,
"Where's Kane?" Sam asked,
"I don't know, he was right behind me"

Kane's POV
"If you don't fucking leave I will kill you and I'm being deadly serious..." I snarled, she actually looked scared but tried to put on a brave face.
"You won't kill me".
Oh did she want to bet, I thought,
"No?"
"No...you...you won't...you kill me, then you go to prison, you're going to leave Lyric whilst you rot in jail...I don't think so...you're all talk"
"Do you really want to try me?"
"Lyric is a fat, ugly bitch who doesn't deserve anyone, she deserves to rot alone somewhere, a place where no one loves her, no one can protect her, where no one likes her. She's just a robbing, filthy, low life...baby," Oh that was it, I went to smash her straight in the face when someone grabbed my arm,
"Get the fuck off me" I shouted,
"No Kane, don't do this, your better than her" Angelo said. I tried to struggle free but Angelo held firm "You're not going to hit her" Lily looked genuinely shocked and frightened that I was actually going to go through with it,
"You bitch, piss off and if I ever see you near this house again, you won't be breathing anymore" she didn't move, Angelo shoved me away then squared up to Lily, "Did you get that?"
"Ye...yea...yeah...I...I...did" She stuttered then ran off. Angelo turned to me,
"Are you calm?" He asked,
"No" I said through clenched teeth.
"Sit down then"
"Why?" he shoved me down, I sat on the sand and leant against the wall, he sat beside me,
"Because you are not going back into your house until you are, you don't need to make Lyric worry and get all worked up just because you are"
"I was going to hit her" I said, ignoring his whole little speech,
"But you didn't though"
"Only because you stopped me, thanks by the way," he smiled,
"No worries mate" We just sat there talking for a while until his phone rang,
"Are you going to answer that?"
"Depends, are you calm enough to go back inside and join Lyric?" I smiled,
"Yeah"
"Well then I am. I'll catch you later and behave," he answered the phone and walked off; I laughed and headed over the wall, road and back into the house. Angelo was acting like he was my older brother. Which hey, I'm not going to complain.
I found her with Wyatt, Joel and Sam sat out on the patio,
"Where'd you go?" She asked me,
"Nowhere, I just got held up by Angelo and we started talking"
"I'm glad you and my Angel are getting on"
"Me too," she stood up and let me sit down then plonked herself on my lap. "So have you lot been avoiding everyone?"
"Pretty much" Lyric said,
"How many people are left anyway? What time is it?" Wyatt asked,
"A few still and plenty of food left though and it's 7.45pm"
"Can't they leave already" Joel groaned, Sam laughed and squeezed his shoulder,
"What are you suggesting Joel? We kick them all out"
"My thoughts exactly" we all smiled,
"Joel have you seen Trent since we got here?" Rics asked,
"Yeah for a bit, then he and Della left, something about a check-up for the baby"
"Oh, okay"
"Have you two still not spoken?" Joel asked,
"No"
"I'm sure you will, he's probably forgotten all about it and will be fine" Sam said,
"I doubt that" Rics replied.

Lyrics POV
The rest of the evening dragged on, we chatted to the remaining few before ushering them out of the house. By 9pm everyone had gone. Frank and Susannah finally flopped themselves down on the sofa exhausted. They've been holding the whole 'celebration of life party' together,
"Mum do you want a cup of tea?" Kane offered,
"Oh yes please dear"
"Dad?"
"Coffee please son," I wandered off into the kitchen with Kane whilst Wyatt, Joel and Sam sat on the other sofa,
"Your such a lovely son aren't you" I told him, "Still haven't told Susannah that you can cook though"
"And you won't"
"Yes I will" I sang,
"Glad to see you happy," my mood then changed as I thought about my Daddy, Kane must've noticed my sudden change in mood and slapped himself,
"Sorry, I shouldn't have said anything. I'm such a twat," I looked at him,
"No you're not, I'm fine, honest" I smiled sticking my tongue out at him,
"You were tricking me," I laughed,
"Yep," he smiled. I sat on the kitchen surface by the cooker whilst Kane made his parents drinks.

"Here you go" Kane said handing his Mum a cup of tea and Dad a cup of coffee,
"Thank you" they both replied, Kane plonked himself on the free sofa and I jumped on top of him,
"I just wanted to say thank you to you both" I said looking at Frank and Susannah, "It would have been extremely difficult today if you hadn't planned and sorted everything out, so thank you. I've always treated you like my second parents, Susannah you've always been the Mum I never had. I'm glad Daddy was such a close friend to you"
"Lyric it was our pleasure, we told Charlie we'd look out for you as long as were alive and we will" Frank said,
"Lyric I've always seen you as the daughter I never had, you'll always be part of our family, we were lucky that you and your Dad moved here, we were all lucky that we had such an amazing family to become really close friends and make a family with" Susannah said,
"Okay everyone, let's stop with the emotional talk" Kane said, I glared at him and then Joel said,
"No really, thank you both for everything"

Trent came back at 10pm, he knocked on our door and asked if he could talk with me, so we're sat on the balcony sofa together doing exactly that, talking,
"First of all I want to apologise for being a dick"
"When were you a dick Trent?"
"No let me finish, it was a week before the funeral and I haven't spoken to you since. I avoided you purposely because I was embarrassed and ashamed. I'm the older brother, I should had been the grown up about it, today when you, Joel and I stood at Dad's coffin to say goodbye made me realise that everything is not forever and you have to make the most out of what you have before it's gone. I love you Lyric, I love you so much, you're my Baby sister and I promise you I will be there for you whenever you need me"
"I love you too Trent and I know you will be there for me"
So, glad that is all cleared up.
"Della and I have found an apartment in town"
"That's great news"
"Scary if I'm being honest, I know I'm 25 but I act like a kid most of the time. I really have to grow up, I'm going to be a father soon, move into my own place, work," I laughed,
"Trent I know you can manage, your awesome and I don't say that often" he laughed "It's not like you're a million miles away, you have an fabulous Auntie here who is going to be looking after her niece or nephew when they're born, you have Joel who is going to be the crazy Uncle and you have Kane, Wyatt, Frank and Susannah too if you ever need any help. Plus Della's family, kind of...it's okay to be scared but honestly there's no need"
"You make me can't wait for the baby to be born," I smiled,
"Have you thought of any names yet?"
"No not really, but I like Blake for a boy and Keagan for a girl"
"Aw they are sooooo cute names," he blushed
"Thanks". We spent the next hour talking, until Kane came out and demanded I came to bed,
"We have some business to attend to Trent," Trent looked at me then Kane,
"And what business is this?" I blushed,
"I don't know Trent. Kane just leave" I said, he laughed,
"Not without you," he replied, Trent smiled,
"Get out of here kiddo..." he said, I hugged him "Remember Dad's watching"
"TRENT" I shrieked, he laughed and Kane dragged me away,
"Your Dad better not watch us make out in bed," Kane said, "Oh that is just wrong, your brother is going to get his ass kicked"
