Diem's POV
How does he know? It makes no sense. No one knows what happened between my parents or what goes on in my life.
I walked out of school and head down the sidewalk to walk home. I didn't see Dalen or any of the other guys for the rest of the day. They must have ditched.
As I was walking, I pulled my head phones out of my bag before plugging them in my phone. I open up my Spotify and playing my liked songs playlist.
What should I do when I get home? Cook? Clean up? Homework?
Dad isn't home because of what happened so I'm just by myself so it gets really boring really fast. Maybe I should order some food while I walk.
I open up my doordash up and scroll thru until I find McDonalds. I know it's not the healthest but it's really good. Now what should I get?
I decided to just go with a Bic Mac with a side of fries.
It should be there ten minutes after I get home.

I should have ordered more food. I'm still hungry. But i don't want to order more food right after I ate. I'll feel like a pig.
So right now I'm just watching tv while I scroll on my phone. There are so many new tik tok dances out there. Some look fun but others look terrible.
I get up off the couch and head to the kitchen. I wonder if I can see my dad. Maybe I could see him, with out seeing him. I ring up the hospital
"Hello?"
"Hi, I was wondering if I could come and visit my father"
"Oh okay, what's your fathers name"
"Kyle Sallow"
"Okay, you can come over and see him in about half and hour if you'd like"
"Okay, thank you"
I hang up. I get a cup of water before going back to the front room. I turn off the tv and head down the hall to my bed room. Once I'm in there I lay down in my bed and just stare at the ceiling.
Is it bad that I can't stop thinking about Dalen? I mean, he almost kissed me, I think. He also questioned about my dad and he wants him to get better.
I don't know what is about him that is making me drawn to him but I have a feeling, a small feeling that I should stay away
I felt my stomach rumble suddenly."Fuck it" I unlock my phone and open Doordash again.
