Kendrick's POV
I wave back at her and drive back to the house. The outside was packed with cars and the music was on full blast. After finding parking space, I enter the lively house.
"Hey Kendrick, come with me upstairs." A drunk brunette says seductively wrapping her arms around my neck
"No thank you." I say removing her hands from me
I walk further into the house and bump into Ray
"Bro where have you been. It's been hard watching the place by myself. You know Seth is always a no help." He complains
"I was with Skylar, we just lost track of time." I blurt out
Maybe I shouldn't have told him that because the smirk that forms on his face is taunting
"You and Skylar huh?" He smirks "When did that happen, I thought you hated her." He sets the beers on the counter
"She isn't that bad but I still don't fully like her." I say
"You'll warm up to her soon, just give it time." Ray says handing me a beer
"Where is Seth anyway?" I ask as I open the beer bottle
"I don't know, the last time I saw him was out back." He tells me
Skylar's friends enter the kitchen and walk up to Ray and I
"Hey, glad you guys could make it." Ray addresses looking mainly at Galley or whatever her name is
"Thanks for the invite." Galley blushes
"Hey Ken." The blonde one says
She's kinda hot
"Hi." I smirk
"Karen, Gabby, would you guys like a drink?" Ray asks
Oh right Gabby, my bad
"Karey, Gabby, I'm so glad you guys could make it." Seth screams really loudly over the music
"Come Gabby, let me show you around." Ray takes Gabby's hand, dragging her with him
"Have fun." Karen tells her friend
"I wish Skylar was here." Seth says and I roll my eyes
The party goes on and everybody looks like they are having a good time. Seth, Ray and I are in the living room playing shot games with Mason, River, Bianca, Evelyn, Heather and a couple of other people
"Let's play truth or dare now, I'm tired of spin the bottle." Heather complains
"Fine, you start then." Mason tells her
Gabby walks in with a very drunk Karen and they take a seat next to Ray and I
"We are playing truth or dare, are you two in?" Evelyn asks
"Sure, we'll play." Karen slurs
"Alright, truth or dare Ray?" Heather asks
"Truth."
"Who do you think is the hottest girl in this group?" Heather smirks
He looks around before he stops at a particular female
"Gabby." He answers and all the heads snap towards Gabby who shifts uncomfortably in the seat her eyes wide
"How romantic." Heather rolls her eyes
"Truth or Dare Mason?" River asks
"Dare me."
"I dare you to go up to those two girls over there, tell the blonde one you like her and then kiss her friend." River says pointing to two girls casually having a conversation amongst themselves
Mason gets up with a smirk on his face and does just that but both girls end up slapping him. Ouch
"That was hilarious." Seth laughs and so does everyone else
Mason takes his seat with a scrawl on his face
"Kendrick, truth or dare?" Karen asks smirking
"Dare."
"I dare you to kiss Skylar at school on Monday." She says and Seth's head shoots up quickly a frown taking over his face
Are you kidding me right now?
"No, just give me another dare." I say
"Come on Gabriel, it's just a dare and you can't back out." River taunts and they all agree except for Seth, Gabby and Ray
"Fine, I'll do it." I say giving in
"If I lose her as a friend because of this stupid dare, it's on you bro." Ray whispers next to me
I get up getting myself another drink from the kitchen, I don't want to play anymore.
"Hey Ken, want me to help you ease that stress for tonight?" Heather comes up to me
"No, but I'm sure there are other guys who would love to get with you." I say taking a swing at my beer
"Are you gay or something? Because now that I think about it, I have never seen you with a girl or even heard of anything of that sort." She asks irritated
I almost laughed but decided to hold my composure
"Maybe I am or maybe I just don't dig high school girls." I say setting down my beer
"Ugh, you men are so frustrating." She storms off
I hope she got the hint now.
"You aren't actually going to kiss her are you?" Seth asks taking a spot next to me
"I don't know but a dare is a dare and you know me to never back out on one." I say and he sighs nodding his head

It's Monday already, the weekend flew by fast. The guys have been pestering me about the dare all morning. I thought about not actually doing it but if one more person asks me about it, I might just have to
"Ladies." Ray greets
"Hey guys." Karen and Gabby say in unison
"Wassup dawgs. How was the party, nobody has filled me in yet." Skylar says shutting her locker
"Uh, it was good." Karen nervously says looking at me
"Just good? What happened because you my friend would never label a party as just 'good'." She say smiling
"Yeah you know me so well. Actually idaredKentokissypubutididn'tmeantoipromise." She rambles
None of us have said anything, even Seth is quiet
"Woah slow down there, repeat that aga-" the bell cuts her off
"I'll tell you at lunch byeeee." She runs off
"Wait, we have the same class." Skylar shouts but Karen keeps running
"Boys, let's go." Skylar says to Ray and I. We follow her without protesting
We enter the class and I look over at Karen who looks like she's going to pass out at the sight of us
"I'll see you guys." Skylar walks to her seat and Ray and I go to ours
"Don't do it man." Ray says to me
"Look, I don't want to do it okay. But if you guys keep pestering me about it, I might just." I say and the teacher walks in
"If this backfires, I don't want to be a part of it." Ray says
"It's my dare so you don't need to worry about it. You w-" I was cut off by Mr Anderson
"With Mr Gabriel's permission, I'd like to get on with my lesson." He says glaring at me
"Permission granted." I lean back in my chair
He sighs and starts the lesson. I look over to Skylar who immediately meets my eye when she looks up behind her
We are seated at the lunch table with the girls and nobody has uttered a word, everyone is quietly eating their food. Time passes until Skylar is the first to speak up
"You guys are all acting strange today, apart from Kendrick he's naturally strange to me." She finishes and Seth snorts
"I thought you enjoyed eating your food in silence." Gabby says to Skylar
"Yeah but I've gotten used to you guys going on and on about stuff during lunch period. This is new and uncomfortable." She says
"Yo Kendrick, have you done your dare yet?" River asks as he walks by our table
"Yeah now fuck off." I bitterly say to him
"Oohh, what dare is that?" Skylar wiggles her eyebrows nudging me
"I'm sorry for what I'm about to do." I say cupping her face and she gives me a confused look
I kiss her. The kiss lasting a few seconds longer then intended. At first she's stiffens at the contact but warms up to it and actually kisses me back. How can something so wrong, feel so right?
I break the kiss and everyone's jaws are on the floor. Seth gets up and leaves the cafeteria
"I'm sorry Skylar, I didn't mean to dare him to kiss you. I was drunk and I, I just don't know what got into me." Karen says
"That was the dare?" She asks
"Yeah." Ray answers when nobody does and she too gets up and leaves the cafeteria
Well that went as expected. Although I didn't think she would kiss me back, I think she felt it too. The sparks
"Uh, I'm just going to look for her." Gabby awkwardly says
Karen follows after a few minutes of an awkward silence without saying anything
"I told you not to do it." Ray says going back to eating his food
"Yeah but if i didn't, I wouldn't have felt it." I say in a trance
"Felt what?" Ray questions
"I don't know, it's stupid forget I said anything." I say folding my hands together
"Would you do it again if given the chance?" Ray asks
In a heartbeat
"I don't know." Is all I say
It's the end of the school day, Skylar has been ignoring us ever since the kiss, Seth hasn't said a word to me either I don't know what his problem is and Ray keeps telling me to go apologize so I'm going to do just that.
"Hey Skylar." I call out as she walks out the building with Gabby and Karen, I'm guessing she hasn't spoken to them either by the looks on their faces
"What is it Kendrick?" She sighs
"I just want to apologize for what I did earlier. I didn't mean to upset you." I honestly say
"Look guys, I'm not mad about the kiss." She tells us all. "Im just upset that I was the last to know, next time please give me a heads up before doing such." She says and walks out the school gate
At least she's not mad that I kissed her meaning she could have possibly also felt it
"Skylar, let us take you home." Seth yells after her
"No thank you. I want to walk today." She shouts back and walks away
"This is all my fault." Karen says and I almost agree
