After the Marauders escorted Gracelyn back to her tower, they were definitely confused as to why a Ravenclaw had a Gryffindor robe and why Remus didn't have his.
The next day, at the Great Hall, their suspicions were nearly confirmed once Gracelyn walked up to Remus shyly and returned his robe to him.
He took it gratefully, just as shy as her with a blush. The two stared at each other for a moment before Gracelyn scurried away to her own table where a Slytherin was waiting for her.
"Do you think...?" asked Sirius.
"Surely not, right?" asked James.
"But what if...?" questioned Peter.
"Did Moony really... Last night?" asked Sirius.
"Reckon we can't really ask, now can we? Not when he runs away from us when we get within a ten feet distance of him," retorted James.
The three looked down at the end of the Gryffindor table where Remus ate breakfast alone, now dressed in his robe.
"Well, who's the Ravenclaw?" asked Peter.
The three moved their gazes onto Gracelyn who was being berated with questions by Sage.
"So you two - "
"No," muttered Gracelyn. "Almost, but he got scared."
"Of you? I'd be lucky to pull a girl like you," retorted Sage.
"Oh - thanks, but - I don't know, Sage. He was scared and I obviously didn't want to force him into anything, but - "
"You wish he didn't get scared. I get it. You like him after all. Relax. I think he likes you too, so just wait it out," said Sage lazily.
"Really?"
Sage hummed.
"Thanks, Sage. I don't know what I would do without you. I love you," said Gracelyn.
Sage winked. "I love you too, sugar."
Gracelyn smiled at her friend before digging into her breakfast, knowing that she'd need the energy for Study of Ancient Runes as her morning class that day. Professor Babbling was not her favorite Professor, but she enjoyed the subject and it was a subject she shared with Sage, so she wouldn't be left alone.
