So here I was, sprawled up in bed. Lounging for it was a Saturday.
I looked to my side to see a little bundle of joy sleeping peacefully.
Yeah, it has been quite a journey for me and Lisa. As strange as it is I was so into being a father.
Yeah, it was a great feeling.
If you're wandering who the little bundle of joy sleeping beside me is. It was RANIA.
Rania the Smurf. Lisa asked me to accompany the kids to sleep because she was preparing for DINNER.
The kids and I have been playing nonstop and it made them tired.
The other kids were sleeping in the other bed I placed inside.
Lia and Sky were practically holding their laughters while taking photos of a sleeping Ella.
Rania and Kyle were still fast asleep. I sat down and carressed the two youngest.
It has been a whirlwind practically raising these two who are full of energy.
Me and Lisa were practically on the edge every single day because of the trouble these two caused.
Rose and Jimin had twins- not suprisingly. After Daisy, they had two little rascals, namely Jiyoung and Jichae, two of the most chaotic twin boys I've ever encountered. They are a handful and truly a troublesome two.
It is true, that the TWIN Gene really runs in our family tho. All of which makes our family more livelier.
I sat down and motioned for Sky and LIa to come closer.
"Hey kiddos! Can you check on Mommy downstairs? " I said in a hush tone.
The two nodded and ran out the room.
It was time to wake the grumpy eldest.
I came near her and shook her.
"Hey love! Wake up. " I shook her again. "Elliebear, wake up love! "
She opened her beautiful eyes and gazed at me. She was pouting.
"5 more minutes daddy pls. "
I smiled at her.
"Come on love! We have to go downstairs. Mommy's been cooking something yummy. I know you're hungry. Wake up k? " She nodded and tried to sit down.
I went back to the two monsters and tickled them to wake up.
"Wakey wakey! Kylieee and Raniiieeee need to get up. Mommy made something yummy. Let's go down! "
The two were both sleepy so I had to carry both of them.
And off we go downstairs.
I see the twins, Lia and Sky , setting up the table while Ella is with Lisa visibly tasting something.
Lisa saw me and smiled.
She came near me and pecked my cheeks.
"Hey baby! You done cooking? "
She nodded and gazed at the two angels in my arms.
"Hello my babies! Did you sleep well huh? " She asked the two. "Koo, let me carry Raniiieeee. " She got Rania from my arms and she settled her on her respective chair. I did the same with Kyle.
"Wow! Mommy this looks super yummy. " Lia commented.
We all said our prayers and dug in to Lisa's delicious cooking.
I was busy eating when I noticed Lisa eyeing me.
I smiled at her.
Ella was smiling really widely at me too.
I sense something weird.
Lately, these two have been giving me weird glances and have been very secretive.
I saw Ella nudge Lisa and whispered something which made Lisa smile.
She looked at me and then at Ella.
Ok. Seriously, these two are creeping me out.
We finished the dinner in peace and are now in the living room lounging around.
I sat next to Lisa and rested my head on her shoulders.
Then she massaged my hair and we gazed at our lovely kids who were busy watching TV.
It was then that I saw Ella signal to Lisa.
And Lisa winked.
"Hey Koo! We need to tell you something. "
I straightened my position and looked at them.
Ella now shut the TV which earned whines from her four siblings.
"What is it babe? "
Damn, I was really curious!
Everyone was looking at the two.
"So Ella and I wanted to give you this. "
The two of them gave a gift.
"Babe, you'd didn't have to give me anything. It's not my birthday right? What's the occasion tho? "
"Just open it Koo. "
The kids seem really excited.
Lisa kept smiling at me.
It was then when I saw Ella holding a camera recording this moment.
I opened the box and it was a hoodie.
I tried it on and all the kids gasped.
Wow! Nice fit.
But when I saw Lia and Sky's faces, they were on the verge of crying and smiling at the same time.
I looked at the hoodie they gave me and my eyes almost came out of it's sockets.
It says....
I'M GOING TO BE A DAD AGAIN!
OMG!
I Looked at Lisa to see her smiling with Ella hugging her.
Then the both of them yelled
"Surprise! "
I hugged Lisa immediately and kissed her.
"Babe, you're pregnant? Really? OMG! Thank you baby. "
I hugged and kissed her endlessly.
"Why didn't you tell me? Are you ok? "
She slapped my arm.
"It wouldn't be called a surprise if we told you right? And I'm fine silly. "
She laughed.
"When did you two find out? " I faced Ella. "You sneaky little girl. Why didn't you tell me? So that's why you've been eyeing me lately. Tsk. "
The two just smirked at me.
"We just found out three weeks ago. We just wanted to surprise you. And the doctor said it wasn't critical unlike my other pregnancies so it's fine. "
Then the four kiddos ran and hugged us.
Making it a huge family hug.
"OMG! I can't believe this. I'm gonna call everyone. Seriously. " I jumped for joy.
Honestly, I was so ecstatic.
Not only because we'll have another family member on the way but because I really do love having children.
They are a blessing to me and Lisa.
I really haven't realized how blessed I am to have this family.
To be super blessed with the woman who fulfilled all my dreams and completed my life.
It all started wrongly for us but we've managed to turn it around by building a strong and happy family.
I just can't thank my parents enough for choosing Lisa as my partner and for forcing me to marry her.
If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have met the woman who would completely turn my world upside down.
If it wasn't for that moment, I wouldn't have
the ever reliable Ella,
the very bubbly Lia,
the ever dependable Sky,
the most energetic Kyle,
the cutest Rania
and now,
The newest addition to family,
Our little bean.
I can't wait to meet him or her soon.
I approach Lisa and kissed her.
"Thank you babe for everything.
